The 2022/23 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season is almost upon us, with Arsenal visiting Crystal Palace in tonight’s big kick-off.

As a result, the questions on team drafts, specific players, captaincy picks and differentials are coming thick and fast in the comments section, so we’ve asked five-time top 1k finisher and Scout’s Deputy Editor, Tom Freeman, to answer some of your conundrums over the next 60 minutes.

He’ll be on hand to first reply to requests from Premium Members in the Hot Topic below the line of this piece and will get through as many as he can until the next article goes up.

If there’s time, Tom will also turn his attention to other requests in the comments section.

As ever, you can chip in with your own opinions on the raft of RMT requests filtering through – and naturally, feel free to ignore the article subject matter and talk about any other wider FPL topics that you’d normally be musing on.

    (A) Trippier, Diaz, Neto
    (B) Robertson, Andreas, 7.0m or < midfielder (Rashford atm)

    I prefer Robertson over Diaz but my midfield (Salah, Diaz, Bailey, Neto, Martinelli) is a bit weak without him.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

    With so many players seemingly copying fpl "experts" move for move in an attempt to win their mini leagues these days I wonder if someone could come up with a plagiarism software to weed them out.

        What is he 26? Obviously it is wishful thinking, just wanted something different from Bailey and Neto seen in many teams.

        If they fail they are likely to drop in price, blocking any sideways moves. Less chance with lowly owned assets.

        Almiron and Eze are other options I was considering

    Anyone going without Jesus? It’s at a point where he’d have to haul for his price not to drop right? Like even if he scores 1x there’ll be another cheaper forward who scores a brace. I could see casuals dropping him. And if he blanks that plummet will hit terminal velocity

      He's definitely a risk in that sense, and Palace away to begin with won't be easy. Maybe have Wilson for GW1, and if Jesus blanks vs Palace wait for his value to plummet right up until before the GW2 deadline then bring him in.
