Digne, Cash and Bailey is the three Aston Villa players.

Is it time to get rid of them?

You brought one or more Villa players in for a reason so stick with your instinct - couple of decent fixtures ahead. 1 week not enough to make decision to sell

He passed the ball to Nunez and he scored it.

      1. wh05nxt

Big part missed in the middle there. I.e. The defender playing it in the opposite direction onto Nunez. At some point VVD passed it and Nunez scores, doesn't mean it's an assist

        1. FOO FIGHTER
          • 4 Years

Opposite direction? The direction Salah was passing it to Darwin?

            • 8 Years

Maybe I'm wrong but Darwin missed the pass from Salah, it hits the defender then comes back in the oppposte direction to then again hit Nunez and go in. But I've also been drinking for. 11 hours since I saw it so maybe I'm forgetting. But if I'm right, that's not an assist.

Don't worry lad I seen it too, ball hits the defender then somehow Nunez still flicks it in. Think it's still an assist in fpl though if the cross in clips a defender

At the end of the day (or month) one of them will be a gift, the other one will be no better than the rest of the 4.0 backups.

I feel pretty good about Ramsdale/Ward for now. If Ward and Leicester look legit, then I can downgrade Ramsdale to raise funds at the first WC.

I think most of us got Kane because we anticipated Spurs to score bundles of goals Vs Saints. They did, so we were right. But some times the striker is not involvred in any of them. Does not mean it was a bad choice.

None - even though I’m not doing very well, and have a template squad so will be harder to make the ground up.

Easy to say now I should have gone Trips and Kulu instead of Mount and Digne but I know I had my reasons at the time.

I didn’t agonise for weeks over a squad to be immediately results orientated after 1 GW

I knew I'd want Nunez so trying to fit him in was going to be an issue, yet I was smart I'm saying that if I had someone I really wanted like him that I had a Liverpool spot free and I had 3 premiums so I had easier ways to him than if I went a different way and spread the money. Kane perhaps wasn't the wisest move in hindsight, early days of course but perhaps something should have entered my thinking in that Spurs still don't have much creativity in midfield yet they now have better attacking outlets around Kane like Richarlison, Perisic and Sessegnon, so the reliance on him to score is diminished but that creative force is needed. I had concrete plans to roll FT but I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and get Nunez for him. I didn't get Jota through his good run last year nearly through stubbornness but I felt that, even though he's not a great finisher, Nunez will bang in goals with the positions he gets into.

Chilwell taken off early. James made so many passes and whipped in loads of completely useless crosses from frees and corners

If Salah is going to fluke assists and goals like that every week, then he is essential ! That has to be the jammiest haul ever. Diaz was unlucky not to return double digits. Last night Jesus and Saka could also have got more. Spurs score 4 and Kane gets nothing.

I agree. Lots of knee jerking with Jesus and Diaz out and Mitrovic, Darwin and Kulu in - it’s based on points not performance. I’m happy to save for the week

It's one GW, all sorts of volatile randomness can happen. What I would say re. Salah, he got into the right areas to make those impacts - there's no fluke in that.

Such is football. Jamming a goal is a skill in itself.

If Salah can still get 10 points from a shite performance then he’s absolutely essential.

Remember his hauls in GW1 last year against Norwich and Leeds the year before? Against Leeds he had 2 penalties and a shot after a poor clearance with nobody near him in the box. Something similar last year. It's what he does, he just knows the positions and when to be there.

Chasing points and taking a -8 on a 35 pointer game week is madness.

Sit tight and roll the free transfer. Robbo and Saka could easily haul next week.

        • 7 Years

you're doing better than me (30pts 3 to go) but yeah those transfers are not needed, i might actually buy Saka this week so i don't get why you'd sell him, or Robbo

        • 7 Years

I just think Martinelli is way better value right now at 2.0 less. Saka was playing way too deep on Friday for my liking (probably told to support White in his foreign RB position.

i don't disagree on the value part but i think over a good few weeks Saka will get more points, it will be a completely different game at the Emirates too with Arsenal sustaining attacks for longer against a dodgy Leicester defense

Just a heads up to all new players.
Don't make rash decisions now and go and sub in players like martinelli or Mitrovic now because different players perform well in different gameweeks and could end up transferring somone who gets a good point score, only for martinelli or Mitrovic to get 2 points.

Cheers, I'm content with my starting team. I made a late decision to go with Wilson instead of Jesus for GW1, risky but it worked. Might transfer in Jesus for Wilson for GW2, but I'll play a waiting game during the week to allow time for potential situations like injuries or Wilson's price rising/Jesus' price dropping.
