How about it? Couple of weeks of this and then a GW3 wildcard?

      Pope (4.0)
      TAA Porro Schar (Barco, Harwood-Bellis)
      Salah Jota ESR CHO (Winks)
      Haaland Isak Wood

Wouldn't pick Wood personally as he will get rotated a lot with Awoniyi and Trent and doubling up on Newcastle is a bit risky. Also Jota will get rotated a lot. Is Smith Rowe guaranteed starter as well? Not a big fan of CHO personally over Elanga personally but each to their own.

How much can Wood and Jota be rotated in two games? Once? Half a rotation each? It's an interesting question!

      No Calafiori or Timber (injury).

Saka and Rice on the bench.

Jesus CF and Havertz left 8

        Is it?

Looks like Jorginho, Odegaard, Vieira midfield.

Front 3 of Trossard, Havertz, Jesus.

Let's see how they actually line up in game.

He's playing all over the place.

But yes it does look like the left sided 8 but with license to drift wide and into central areas.

Arsenal look really good. Watched 10 mins of this friendly.

Pretty much confirms Henderson as #1 at Palace.

"Crystal Palace ready to sanction Sam Johnstone exit after GK asked to go. 31yo relayed decision on tour - club will help if enough time + acceptable offer. #CPFC want £10m for England int’l. Interest from #LCFC #NFFC #SaintsFC #WWFC (Leicester, Forest, Soton and Wolves)"

I don't think he'd make first choice at any premier league club at the moment. Definitely not Leicester. Maybe Saints, no idea who plays keeps for them.

Such crazy money they got for Alvarez. More than they paid for Haaland, and thats their backup. He is a great player for sure, but prices are mental, but I guess thats like real life too with inflation.

But you'll believe the opinion of some random on a FPL podcast? No one knows if Gordon will or won't start in GW1 at the minute.

I've just watched the YouTube short. The guy with the Newcastle top on seems to think they play Saturday and Sunday, when it's Friday and Saturday. He also thinks that Howe is going to give minutes to players on both days. When we played the "Sela cup" last year it was completely different teams each day.

You're right, that particular guy is a poor source of Toon knowledge.
He also said Barnes has played well pre season. He has not.
Gordon will want to play GW1, but it may be taken out of his hands and it would make sense for Barnes to start. It's just worth considering!

Think I'll risk 5 x 4.5m DEFs if Trent doesn't start GW1. Can wait until GW4 to transfer Jota out for him:

      Raya
      Livramento - Hall - Milenkovic
      Salah - Son - Ødegaard - Fernandes - Jota
      Isak - Havertz
      (4m GK - Quansah - Davis - 4.5m ST)

        2 assists from midfield
        1 goal up front

        Confidence is everything.

This fad for Arteta playing Havertz in mid knocking Rice deeper worries me. Had Rice or Rodri as a back up should Nkunku breakdown.

Mate, you could say that about some of those ESR/CHO/etc. punts but not about cheap enablers into one of the best teams. Mostly when its short-term.

Lowest Score Wins leagues are back!

Pick your team using your entire budget then ‘set it and forget it’, with no transfers, chips, etc. used during the season. Lowest score wins!

        Classic: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/auto-join/i46foq
        H2H: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/auto-join/cynn5t

The rules are simple but bear repeating in relative depth:
        1. Use your entire budget to pick your team. You must have 0 left to spend when the season begins.
        2. Do not make any transfers once the season begins.
        3. Do not use any chips during the season.
        4. At the end of the season, the team at the bottom of the table (having correctly followed all rules) wins.
