Rarely has the ScoutCast witnessed the collision of such contrary forces. With the radical “Andy G” dropping in alongside the self-proclaimed “dullard” Fantasy Manager, Jonty, we were always going to be in for an entertaining ride.

Foxes fan Andy arrives to express his emotions with both Leicester and his Fantasy Premier League lineup riding high. We look back on his implausible captaincy of Riyad Mahrez back in Gameweek 1, whilst picking out the highlights of Andy’s rip-roaring “maverick” season.

Another round of questions from you, the community, has us attempting to unpick the looming double Gameweek scenarios, whilst “Andy M” takes time to dispel the template myth. The four of us then turn our attentions to Gameweek 30, with beatnik boss Andy G revealing his rebellious streak with some crazy transfer talk.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first shown live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday. Be sure to subscribe for details of future episodes.

You can view the full “Hangout” movie via the larger player below, or suck up the edited audio mix via this link or the smaller player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

There's nothing really substantial when comparing goalkeepers on the members area.

I guess it's just not as simple as looking at attacking stats. Looked at bps and bonus, saves and chances in box. Am I missing anything?

Compare teams rather than the individual GKs.

Gives a good indication on CS potential and to some extent, save potential

Yeah, that's what I was looking at for chances in box etc

I'd just make a decision based on your general perception of the team's defensive strength rather than stats. Foster looks a great option after this week, Hart for this week

2FTs. payet > siggy dilemma. which pill do i swallow?

    Red pill:
    • GW30: Smith (SWA)
    • GW31: Payet (che)
    • 1FT in pocket

    Blue pill:
    • GW30: Siggy (bou)
    • GW31: Siggy (AVL)
    • Lose 0.4 value on payet

Hi all, different crowd now so would appreciate some opinions on my team.

    Butland (Rudd)
    Kolarov, Fuchs,VVD (Bellerin, Dawson)
    Siggy, Arnie, Mahrez (Payet, Ozil)
    Kane, Aguero, Vardy
    1FT left

I bought Ozil at 8.8, Payet at 7.6,Bellerin at 5.6 so if I sell any of them I'd lose a bit of value. I was wanting to get Payet out for Yaya or Alli given the upcoming fixtures but I think I'd want him back for the DGW. I dont really mind the value loss as I'll only lose probably 0.1 in total by buying him back later. I was hoping that we would know the DGW situation by now but unfortunately we don't and therefore my plan for DGW is still a bit uncertain. By reading a few hot topics, I guess BB GW34 would bring more gains than GW37 due to less rotation etc. I was hoping to achieve a decent amount of DGW34 players without WC hence was reluctant to sell any of them, including Dawson who will have 2 easy matches to come and will rotate well with the rest of my defence.

What do you think? Is it worth trading out either of Payet or Ozil (I know Doos is a huge fan of Payet)? And would you go for Alli/Eriksen or Yaya? I think Alli will get a good score this weekend (scores well away usually and vs Villa!!!) but doesn;t have a DGW 34. Many thanks in advance!

I'd get eriksen if you want to go the spurs route.

I was in a similar situation (had Sanchez/Payet) and kept Payet - just fixtureproof, and SUCH a good player. Chelsea next weekend should hold no fear.

I'd be tempted to get Alli (away form) or Eriksen (stats) over Yaya - it depends when you're thinking of wildcarding, really.

      Hope that helps!

I have the same front 8 (except have Alli for Arnie) and bought Payet and Ozil for the same prices you did. I am taking out Payet for Silva/Yaya and will get Payet back in around GW32...

Difficult decision isn't it? The other option is to sell Dawson but defender's score cap is limited as compared to a possible Alli explosion. But yeah, really hope FA will announce dgw soon so we can decide when to WC. Just worried I would want to WC later and hence will need to take hits for dgw 34.

They made changes, but they still had a strong enough team out.

Especially with Dembele, Lamela and Kane all coming off the bench to no avail.

Oh no I agree. Spurs would have got battered even with a full strength team out, Dortmund are class.

What I mean is that I don't see the point mentioned above that it'll affect them against ASTON VILLA

Liverpools most improved players under Klopp have been Can & Firmino.

Coincidence that they both speak German? I think that give time, Klopp will be able to squeeze the best out of all his players!

    1. djenzio
      • 11 Years

Lallana, Allen, Lovren, Moreno all heavily improved under Klopp. it's nothing to do with language it's the fact that Klopp is extremely good at man management and getting the most out of his players

      1. RustyBz
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

You can't tell me language doesn't affect man management

          • 11 Years
          9 years, 9 months ago

I am sure it does but I am saying I don't agree those 2 players are the most improved, and we have no idea what language they are speaking on the training ground.

      2. RustyBz
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

Lallana would struggle to start with Milner in. Allen doesn't start. Lovren wouldn't start with Skrtel back.

Moreno has been at the same level for a very long time.

Can and Firmino really stick out, Firmino especially. 1 goal in 24 apps and now 9 in 13 plus a bunch of assists

If they give him time, I think they'll develop into a fantastic side, I rate him so highly as a manager. The league is really low on quality at the moment, but Guardiola, Klopp and Conte should really up the levels we see, and what tends to happen is that when one or two teams raise their game, the rest follow (because they have to).

      1. RustyBz
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

I agree. It really won't take much to dominate this league with the current level.

Pep could easily come in and blow a lot of people out of the water. Klopp will be a slower process but more sustainable probably.

Can't wait to see them all in the prem - hope Jose comes back too.

Think my 3 for DGW and beyond are Migs (bb goalkeeper!), Firmino (lad) and, though I hate his guts, Moreno!

I love Klopp - wish Arsenal had moved Arsene "upstairs" and pounced when he was free 🙂

The general consensus is that BB will probably be more suited to gw34 ad TC played later in gw37.
As it seems unlikely that Man City will have their double in gw37 thus no Kun TC, are we happy to go with another option that week or do we have to seriously consider swapping the chips around and going with Kun in gw34?
For long enough I thought that Kun was my certain go to TC. Doesn't seem so clear now though.

With one eye on the DGW ahead in 34, do the below transfers look wise?

    DDG
    VvD - Simpson - Dier - Targett
    Mahrez - Arnautovic - Alli
    Kane - Vardy - Aguero

    (McCarthy - Cresswell - Payet - Ozil)

    1. DDG ---> Hart
    2. Cresswell ---> Williams or Stoke DF

Anything else to consider? Take the gamble with Targett and save the second transfer?

    Super confused !,

    I have
    Hart
    Toby Targett Fuschs
    Siggy Silva Mahrez Alli
    Aguero (C) Kane Vardy

Bench : Arnie, Bellerin and Ward.

I really want to play Arnie, and I have already used my All Out Attack and hence cant ship out Targett and go for a 2-5-3 formation. The only person I can think of swapping with Arnie in the midfield is Siggy, but looking at his form in recent weeks, I have no reason as to why I should not take him.

    Thoughts please?

    Thanks a ton in advance
