After assessing the Defence and Midfield numbers over the last four matches, we turn our attentions to up front this evening. A number of double Gameweek options arrive under analysis, including Everton, City and Newcastle’s main men, whilst we also compare Arsenal and United’s strikers and doff our cap to Tottenham’s man of the moment after a series of scintillating displays.

I once used this as an opening gag:

When I looked up "wedding" in the dictionary it said "fusion of two bodies under intense heat" ....
Turned out I'd looked up "welding" by mistake!

Ba-dum-tish ! Got a decent laugh and calmed my nerves.

                  Very nice! And good move.

The bar / toilets in the Tatts is a meat market. You'll get a better version of both and still have the option of doing a walk round the Tatts to check out the women.

Are you doing the Saturday or the Friday as well?

                      Train will be jammers.

                      You'll have a blast.

I think Thistlecrack is running in a race on the Saturday. It'll be very short in the betting so I'll likely do it in a double. But it's a real gem.

                        Just go and enjoy it.

It's a great venue, huge. I liked to go out to the parade ring before each race to see the runners being walked around. The sun is usually shining and the amount of skirt and leg on show is unreal. I'd imagine you are all suiting up?

Use oddschecker to see which bookies is offering the best odds on your fancy before u back it. Although that said the bookies are down by the track and that's a walk from the stand and back each race so you'd be as well backing within the stand with the Tote. Save your legs when it's all over you'll be knackered from standing all day!

                        Yep, all suited and booted

The skirt on show sounds ideal 🙂

Sounds a good plan, the west tip area is meant to have its own bar and bookie so that will come in handy

You'll not believe the skirt. Unreal.

Bring a pair of good sunglasses incase the weather is really good and go for it with your own suits dress to impress.

Yip the bookies I'd imagine will be the Tote. Great shout buying tickets for a stand. You'll see a few celebs in the stand. Think it was the Queen Mother I was in before.

I've been to more weddings than I'd care to remember.

Keep it classy, swearing on the mike is a no-no, telling stories about the groom kissing a woman other than the bride is also a no-no, generally I wouldn't mention the stag party.

Keep it classy, but if you have a very funny story about the groom then tell it. As long as it doesn't make you look cruel.

I'd imagine my brother will tell a room of people a list of my motoring calamities.

From busting a spring after hitting a speed bump at 40mph which then caused a blowout nearly killing all in the car, to knocking down a young gypsy boy who cycled across the street, to driving maybe 10 miles at 1.30 with only myy sidelights on wondering why they were aat all bright. They'll alllaugh

I done mine without written notes and no alcohol in me for braveness and it went down a storm. How i done it was the way stand up comedians do it.
Link each line to the next un some way so it serves as a reminder.
So like, know the opening line, the each line should contain something that makes you think of the next so you cant forget it. Then just let it flow.
Make sure to find it funny yourself and start right off with a joke
Dont try to use word for word speech as a mistake is obvious then.
Know the general gist of your speech and just word it naturally at tge time.
Justensure jokes are worded right as order of words can be vital.

One of my favourite BM speech out-takes (tried and tested):

"I've got a message here to the bride from Johnny's former football coach. Johnny is a versatile player with great stamina and a big ... engine ... and can be used in many different positions, although if he doesn't perform well you'll need to pull him off."

Sounds a bit sick but the oldies absolutely loved it and most of the others took 5 minutes to join the dots. Pick your audience I guess.

Or the other classic thing to do is get the bride and groom to stand. Ask the bride to hold her hand out flat in front of her. Now ask the groom to place his hand on top of hers. And enjoy that ... because it's the last time you'll ever have the upper hand ...

Palace need a win and Dann is probably most likely to score out of all their players.

Unlikely to get a cleanie, but the truth is that you don't get Dann for the CS anyway.

    WC 32

    Migs/Elliot

Dann >> PVA in 35 (danns dgws 33/34, then PVA plays 35 and dgw 37)

    Sakho
    Fuchs >> ogbonna in 36

    Payet
    Mahrez >> Lanzini in 36
    Alexis
    Coutinho
    Lennon >> ozil in 34. (Lennon dgw 33, ozil dgw 34/plays 35

    Aguero >> Costa in 37

    33 - 3 players
    34 - 13 players and BB
    35 - 12 (2gks)
    37 - 11

I like this plan/team, but if I still had BB I would go for 15 DGWers. It can be done, and I am not convinced that the Leicester players will make up for the lack of DGWers (ie, I think a full 11 in GW35 can be done without them).

I like Robles for an extra dgw 33 player personally I think I'll go with 5 if I can.

I like how your team transitions. I think I'll go for 15 dgw 34 plus BB.

How I'm going to do it all is a different matter though!

id love to fit in barkley and bolasie as well, and i think you're correct with robles, i jut dont see everton keeping cleanies though?

my thought process is thus - alexis and ozil both have watford at home, where as if i place two everton mids in playing utd away thats not a great fixture, its just a lot of trades

Im at a point now where ive decided on going quality, id love to have bolasie, but mahrez could comfortably outscore him ove 33 & 34..?

Was looking at my proposed gw33 tem and it could pull in some serious points.

The extra double sold me on selling Mahrez. It gave that bit of insurance for losing him in 33 if u get me. What if he blanks in the bench boost week and gets 2pts?

I think Lukaku, Barkley, Robles, Dann/Ward, Bolasie/Cabaye for 33. It's being overlooked and it may require a few changes or a hit but I'm happy with that if needs be.

Bolasie will be a last minute decision, and im usually a gambler so i think he will probably come in.

What are your thoughts on Deeney over mitrovic? better scoring record, deeney has 4 away games in his two dgws? and he has a better scoring record away.

im seriously considering him as an enabler.

No one picking Lallana for their DGW team? Firmino, Coutinho and even Milner seem ahead of him.

    1. Walsh

I'm giving him a long look. It's difficult to decide which of them three to go for. You have a feeling that there will be rotation but if you get that right you will likely end up with a haul on your hands for the DGW. 0 shot attempts in last two for Lallana has me slightly worried...

      • 16 Years

Don't know about Lallana but I'm looking for a Butland replacement and realise that Liverpool have six homes in the next eight (I know I'm last to notice this) so will go Mignolet.

But has any team ever had that many? I remember Blackpool played their first four games away because the stadium was getting built but I don't recall them having the rearranged home games so close together.

That's basically- 8 points doing that though, with someone like Mitrovic, you've got not bad immediate fixtures, the double in 34 and not bad fixture in 36 too. Can spend tranny in 35 on Defoe or Chelsea player then. It's a tough one

The guaranteed start following by CPL in 36 and avl in 37 is the tempter, Rashford I'm my current preferred 3rd forward anyway, and then switch to Defoe in 35

I like Rashford, but his minutes are obviously uncertain, for .7 more you get Deeney, Watford captain, nailed, takes pens, involved in most goals watford score and fixtures.

I love the defoe punt, im seriously considering Khazri for 37 if i can fit him in

That .7 allows me Coutinho over Milner though. Whatever I'm doing on my WC though, I always seem to be .1 short of the perfect team. Yh Kazhri and Defoe looks good for 37

Makes it harder to get 11 players in GW35 because Watford have a blank whereas Newcastle don't

Deeney - nothing to play for in the league

Mitrovic - club depends mostly on him to avoid relegation

                  Robles Elliot

                  Ozil Barkley Coutinho Payet Frimino
                  Lukaku Aguero Martial

                  4 DGW in 33
                  15 DGW in 34
11 in 35 (martial and ward to defoe and ivanovic)
11 DGW in 37 (aguero and evans to costa and smalling)

3 ars for 38 vs AVL

They're both about 50% to play 2 games in a DGW. The upside for Lingard is that they're more likely to bring on a midfielder than a CB so he could play 60+ and then a 30 minute cameo. If Gabriel plays it'll be 90 minutes or nothing.

if you had to go with just one in your planning...

                  Kun (potential & fixtures)
                  or
Kane (form & fighting for the league)

                  ?

Why one when you can still have two... For 32-35 Kun, then likely will bring back Kane

If Kane struggles against Liv & Mun then you're a genius. But Kane is on red hot form, unfortunately.

Big risk selling him, banking on Lukaku DGW/TC and Sanchez DGW making up for it as Kane's fixtures are not the easiest. And then bring him back for GW35

Bolasie has looked very dangerous in the last few games despite Palace's awfulness. Really expecting him to explode over GW33 and even contemplating captaining him over Lukaku!

Lennon is probably better over the two double game weeks but Bolasie has far more points potential as a one week option, then transfer to a Liverpool mid in 34

Scroll past last few pages. Lots of teams posted. All variations on similar themes. All require planning to adjust for GW35 and prep for GW37. Depends a lot of SV and current team. Here is mine with plans to shift around each week to get what I need each week - which like all plans means it won't work 🙂

                    GW32 WC
                    Robles, Elliot
                    Bellerin, Cresswell, Simpson, Rojo, Sakho
                    Mahrez, Payet, Ozil, Sanchez, Lennon
                    Aguero, Lukaku, Rashford

                  2. Get up ya bum

You want someone to pick it for you 😆 Just copy the ffs template team then. I believe Ryan has even named it 🙄
Keeping Kane mahrez and a Leicester defender might be good insurance at those giddy heights

If trying to play safe I'd certainly keep Kane, Mahrez and a Lei defender. They are the sort of high ownership players who could really hurt you if they outperform the Rashford / Bolasie style punts

Just keep Kane, Mahrez, Alli and a Leicester defender. Simple

                    *** Elliot
                    Smalling Otamendi Bellerin Sakho Ake
                    Sanchez Ozil Firmino Payet ***
                    Aguero Lukaku ***

                    Best option to fill the 3 gaps;

                    A: Robles Coutinho Rashford

                    B: Robles Milner Mitrovic

                    C: Robles Antonio Martial

                    D: DDG Milner Deeney

I did A for same front 8/GKs -- but have Lennon for next 2 weeks then will decide on L'Pool mid

Yh Dann place holding for Smalling and Bolasie placeholder for 5th mid out of those options for me, forward goes in now

C looks best for points but means you have way too many blanks in GW35.

                          Therefore B
