We continue our Gameweek 11 retrospective with our regular members article. This time around we check in on Chelsea’s in-form Fantasy assets, Liverpool’s Samba stars and Charlie Austin’s form since nailing down a starting role for the Saints.
Big Don fast out of the blocks
never tried one of these tourneys. i'm down though if someone gives me an invite. finished 655 & 495 OR last two seasons.
I think this is a nice front 7. Losing sanchez that is.
Firmino /hazard /Walcott /coutinho /kun/lukaku /Austin. (capoue on bench)
Only for Walcotts minutes and whether he keeps up good form or not id go with this.
Good or mediocre?I think it looks pretty solid. Pretty standard front 7 on here from what I understand.
so it depends whether you want to do the safe route or a more risky one, where you try to be ahead of the curve with Kane for example.
What does your defence look like?Bad at the minute.
Pickford
Walker/smith/holebas/Fuchs.
I get what your saying. Too similar to my rivals in MLS tbh.any FTs and anything itb?
1ft 0 itb
That's my front 7 after Sanchez > Haz this week
But always looking at possibilities, particularly Lukaku > Costa/KaneThat's my current front 8, with Allen instead of Cackpoo. I reckon it looks good. As others have mentioned, shifting Lukaku later on would be the best next move ( according to fixtures and all that I mean).
is fplstatistics down or is it just me?
Yup, down
It's down
Cheers. Hope it comes back up soon.. Need to decide on Sanchez --> KDB...
Sanchez was on -67 around 20 minutes ago
and it's back up
Thanks...
De Bruyne could rise tonight
Rank your top three Liverpool mids like this: FCM (ie Firmino first, Coutinho second, Mane third)
CFMaLaMiWijCan
+1
FCM
Most will go Couts first but I have a thing for Firmino. He is involved in so much. I think he will be consistent whereas Coutinho's goalscoring form might go off the boil at some point
Folks. Need some ideas.
My current team:
Foster
Kosc Rose Pieters
Haz Firm Cout Wally Allen
Kun Kaku
Sub: Pickford Evans Amat Keane(!)
A) Sanchez out for 6 weeks confirmed? If yes, my squad very thin with Sanchez, Keane and Amat as non-playing players.
B) Amat + Sanchez ---> Friend + Hazard for -4 hits. Worth it?Don't see the point in transferring Amat out for a hit
it is not confirmed that Sanchez is even out, let alone for six weeks. But there certainly is a risk that it is true or he is at least out for a bit.
Don't take Amat out for a hit. You will be benching friend this week anyway.Wait for confirmation then? Do you think it is worth it to transfer Rose or Kosc to make funds for Austin?
Some people may struggle to field Eleven so maybe a good time to ship Amat out?
Of course he could be recalled to the starting lineup soonBut for a hit? and yes there is the added chance that amat will play, although small.
Difficult to say yet. But Sanchez doesn't look like dropping tonight and Hazard doesn't look like rising.
There is a small risk of Friend and Austin rising tonight, so it is up to you whether you want to risk it or not.
Don't know what I would do in your situation. You wouldn't want to transfer Rose or Kosc out if Sanchez is out I assume, as you would be making the funds with Sanchez -> Hazard transfer?
Basically it is a risk game.So to make it easier, don't do anything until next week.
Haha yeah that is the safe advice at least.
Took out Aguero which is risky
But got
De Bruyne Sanchez Hazard Countino Lallana
Costa Lukaku (Barnes)
Do you think trade off is worth it
Also is Lallana better or Austin/DefoeI think Austin is better than Lallana unless you can play 4-5-1 when Costa gets his 5th yellow
Very impressive front 7 Should be enough big guns to cope without Aguero
no wonder you dont wanna show us your defence
Heh 🙂
Will there be any rises today?
http://www.fplstatistics.co.uk
Pickford has been at 100 for a few days I think. At least he was yesterday.
My experience is that anything over 80 COULD happen, so probably top ten is a possibility.
fantasyfootballfix also has Kingsley as a riser tonight, but they had him as a riser yesterday as well...Would you recommend bringing in Austin in that case being on 91%
Depends on your situation I guess. Most people aren't fans of early transfers - especially not during international breaks, where you could see more injuries.
He COULD rise, but not a certainty. So it depends whether you want to risk an early transfer to save 0.1m. But he will probably rise tomorrow or the day after anyway, as he has a double blue arrow. It's all good I'm on a WC, but I'm probably going to wait until tomorrow
Ah okay. I am as well.
I need to sell Alonso (who already rose 0.1m) to a 4.5 to afford Austin though. So I am doing it tonight anyway, as I don't see Alonso rising before Austin does...But who are you selling for Austin?
Really annoyed that Alonso couldn't double rise before Austin rises.
Would like to have made a profit on Alonso before needing to ship him out to afford Austin.Agreed
If Alonso is the one making way then I think you might be doing it wrong.
Nah. on a WC so only brought in Alonso to raise TV because I hoped he would double rise. To afford Austin I need to downgrade Alonso to a cheaper def.
So not sure what I am doing wrong? If you are suggesting that another def has as good a chance of rising 0.2 before deadline as Alonso has of rising once, please let me know...Unless you're sat with Azpil too then I don't think there is any realm in the world that you go without a Chelsea defender if on WC.
Can't really afford the front 8 I want with a chelsea def.
Hazard, Coutinho, Gundogan, Allen, Sanchez (may become KDB if out)
Aguero, Lukaku, Austin.
I know my team value isn't very good, but have decided to go cheap in the back - at least if Sanchez is out.Good luck.
Walsh is right on this. If you are on a wildcard, Alonso should be locked and loaded. Try to find some other spot to downgrade to afford Austin.
Yeah you are probably right.
Although I really don't want complete garbage on my 5th def and mid spots, as I think rotation will be an issue again this year during december.
Just can't see how to fit him im without downgrading one of my "key" players...
Appreciate that you are trying to save me from myself at least 🙂
on a wc this late? respect!
anyway yeah predicting lotsa double riser this IB, best time to profit on a WC,
predicting ima get 1m extra on TV after the IB endsYeah that is one of the reasons I waited.
A lot of double risers?
Who have you got since you are expecting an extra 1m?those pool and chelsea players. chip a few from austin allen gundog, yeah 1m rise for me is possible this gw, let alone a wcer
who would get the most points next 5 GW
A) KdB
B) Hazard
C) CoutinhoCout imo.
I would say Cout as well. But with these guys you never really know.
Kevin
Coutinho becauce of good fixtures and form. Even tho he wont score alot of goals, Liverpool as a team will, and Coutinho will get many assist.
Anything I should do with this team?
Courtois
Lovren / McAuley / Pieters
Coutinho / Ozil / Gundogan / Firmino
Costa / Aguero / Lukaku
Grant, Allen, Amat, Holebas
1FT / 0.2ITB
Think I have a decent team, and ok bench. Any suggestions to improve?Save. Redistribute funds more effectively to be on the pitch and drop one of them two mids to 4.3 fodder.
Thanks. I got Allen for 4.8m, so I dont think I have a lot of cash on the bench. And when one of my front 8 is out for 1 match (restet, small injury or suspended) it wont be a problem for me. But I see what you mean.
usually during the season I am all for having cheap fodder, but with December fixture congestion coming, I don't like to have complete garbage as rotation probably becomes an issue.
Save imo.
Sanchez out for 6 weeks im hearing
Source: AFCAMDENWhaaaat
Im hearing it too.
Source : LUKE THE ELNENY ENTHUSIASTIs that source usually reliable?
From what I understood the scan isn't until tomorrow?Probably the most reliable source i know. And ive met him a few times at the emirates. Proper stand up guy, hes not one to lie.
So the injury must have happened during training in Chile?
Otherwise he never would have stepped on the plane if that badThat sucks. On WC so not a big issue for me, but I would have really liked to have Sanchez as a differential in my MLs.
Get it right ffs. He's said it might be the case. Needs to be confirmed by a scan
How can this guy be reliable?
He said the gunners are going to win the league this season.
GuesserIt's pretty relaxing to ignore people when they post incorrect and/or sensationalist things when it is abundantly clear that there has been no official news.
This. I doubt the club even has the scan results yet.
As he hasnt had the scan yet it looks like you may be right 😀
If hes right, you guys gotta take a -24 hit. No WC.
He wouldnt put himself out there if it didnt have some concrete truth to it.
Like I said, hes gotten a lot of things right in the past and never really says anything unless its true.
I support arsenal extensively enough to come to that conclusion.Do you even lift bro?
I'm 45. I don't talk jive.
I'm a 34 year old black man. Whats your point?
Speculation until he has the scan
Speculation is fun
Oh yeah. Even more so with an FT in your back pocket
QUICK POLL:
1. Austin, Hazard, DeBruyne (use WC)
2. Kane, Hazard, Snodgrass (4 pt hit)Wouldn't use my WC just for 2/3 transfers, so I am gonna say 2.
I can see a Lukaku to Giroud trade for gw13. I've already completed my gw12 trades a couple of days ago for a -4 hit so I'm ready to go
Foster
Alonso, Fuchs, Pieters
Hazard, Coutinho, Firmino, Allen
Aguero, Costa, Lukaku c
Jaku, Capoue, Holebas, Amat
Hopefully no more injuries or rests when the players return from ib. I'm also hoping Trump destroys Clinton then puts both Clinton's in prison for life.Hey guys, Holebas being suspended next GW means I only have 2 playable defenders but I want to keep Holebas so I;m thinking of doing the following.
Amat âž¡ Curtis Davies or Brunt (5.2m to play with)
Thoughts? Suggestions?Currently leaning towards Curtis Davies, I feel a goal is just around the corner for him.
I think it would be easier to assess if you said the rest of your team or at least the rest of your defense.
Bellerin / Jagielka / Holebas / Amat / Wilson
I would do Wilson -> Brunt/McAuley. Amat still has a chance of returning to the XI, so why not ship Wilson instead? Don't even know which of the Wilsons you have 😉
Cheers Lizard. Amat is currently out of favour and has more potential to drop in price though.
Yeah I guess he is currently out of favour, but not so sure he won't get another chance. What I have heard is that the fans on the forums are fans of him and expecting him to be given a chance. Also mentioned in line up lessons that he could return...
The fans can have their opinion but they don't choose the team unfortunately. I was bewildered that Amat was dropped in the first place, he was arguably their best defender over the first 8 games.
Yeah I think he did pretty good from what I saw. but not knowledgeable about Swansea this season tbh. Why I am trying to listen carefully when their fans are talking. And if Kingsley/Amat gets nailed, they COULD be a decent option for a 5th mid. Great fixtures from GW 15, but unfortunately Swansea are just AWFUL at the back.
I'd get rid of Wilson before Amat. Amat better chance to come back into the side I think. I'd go Brunt over Cavies. Would also consider Cedric if he's fit, Morgan, Francis, and maybe Lowton or Mee.
Haha look above 😉
Cheers Walsh. As I said above, Amat is currently out of favour and has more potential to drop in price due to owenrship.
Good luck.
Cheers
Saints have 2 pretty tough fixtures in the next 2 which puts me off Cedric. Leicester have good fixtures on paper but have been rubbish away from home and they have 3 away games in their next 5, Burnley the same.
WBA have 2 cleans all season and Hull are the worst team in the league. Everyone has their warts.
But they have had some tough fixtures in the last 4 GWs and have often been unlucky with a late goal. Nyom at 4.3, Brunt OOP or McAuley with attacking threat, all with a good chance of a couple of CSs in the next 5. Good picks imo.
True, but there is potential there. We all know what Pulis is capable of defensively and Hull just beat Southampton which they will take great confidence from, and Curtis davies has real goal threat espeically with Snodgrass on set-pieces.
Yeah exactly. Wouldn't do Leicester with their fixtures and the only defensive option in Burnley's side is Heaton imo.
Can't see better options below 5.0 than WBA.Agreed
How much is this Brunt character? Im seeing his name a lot on these boards
4.9m
Brunt is 4.9, playing OOP and WBA has 3 good fixtures lined up, with 4 good one out of the next 5.
Also people are still convinced that they will return to Pulis-esqu tactics soon 😉Is he playing LM?
Yep although he hasn't been back for long, so I guess his role is still a little bit uncertain. Like him as an option although he wasn't on as many set pieces against Leicester as people here led me to believe he would be. But he has been in the past.
Hmmmm. I'd probably only get him if he was on most set-pieces seeing as though he's just come back from injury. Thanks!
Yeah I get what you are saying. Maybe he will be in more in the future, not really sure.
But I am definitely looking at WBA def for the next 5 weeks. On WC so almost certainly doubling up on them, but my defence is super cheap and can't see many other options with their prospects at that price.
McAuley, Brunt or Nyom for price are good options imo.Who is currently on most set-pieces for West Brom? Or is it shared around?
Brunt, McAuley and even Dawson with his goal threat are all appealing although Dawson's BPS is terrible.Think it is shared around atm. Phillips took most of them against Leicester, but Brunt haven't been back for long and Chadli wasn't on the pitch.
From what I remember and understand around here is that Brunt usually took a lot of corners and some FKs, but I still think it is uncertain at this point.
Dawson looked very dangerous against Leicester, but he is also on 4 yellows, so would probably stay away as any WBA defender is a 5 week move imo.
McAuley has the goal threat and Evans got a few bonus point here and there last season if I recall correctly.
I think I am going for McAuley (and Nyom for a budget option).*McAuley or Brunt
Good deductions
Another thing to consider is that Brunt can potentially play 2 international games over the break whereas Curtis Davies won't play any.
True. But I still don't trust Hull defensively - even with those fixtures. They might prove me wrong, but I am hedging my bets to WBA def instead.
Agreed. Despite beating Southampton they still looked very vulnerable defensively and were lucky to concede only 1 goal.
That just sweetens the deal then doesn't it!
Knock Knock TM
haha yep he is late 😉
im worried sick now. are there anyone we could call?
Price Changes - 9th November 2016
🔼 Pickford
🔽 Callericheers TM, glad ure okay
Pickford :O If it took that long to get him up 0,1 imagine how long the next one will take
He was at 98/99 when he got that little injury around the last IB then got a reset to zero when the flag was lifted
Pickford! It's been a long road
Pickford!!!
Calleri and Zaza. Good signings
Pickford finally gets the ring to Mount Doom!
Is the IB injury rumor/news still just Sanchez? Waiting for the next story already.
Bellerin a whisper
Arsenal in turmoil looks like.
Van Persie hurt his eyelid the other day.
I'll get me coatHaha.
Who is the better option to come in for Sanchez?
a) Firmino
b)KDB
Already have Hazard and CoutinhoBobby is probably more sensible.
Seriously considering captaining Arnautovic or Allen (BOU), especially considering they just lost to lowly Sunderland. I think their confidence will have taken a huge hit, in addition Adam Smith is also suspended.
Seems pretty mental to me but play your own game. The GW after internationals is always pretty screwy so as good a time to take a punt on captaincy as any.
Thanks Walsh, appreciate your input.
Who would you transfer Alli to? Thinking about Snoddy at the moment since he's probably on pens and they have a decent run coming. Only got 8.3 to spend and there isn't a lot going on in that price range.
Could take a hit to move Bellerin to a 4.5-5m and get an extra 1.5-2m to spend though.
Have Coutinho, Hazard, Allen and Walcott already.Makes zero sense to spend the transfer when you have Allen. Save and reassess after unpredictable post-intl GW with two frees assuming you don't have any other injuries and can field 11.
I'm playing 3-5-2 though, so I have Barrow playing at the moment.
Ugh. Getting in Firmino seems good but don't love a hit to do so. Might be worth it though.
Siggy has nice fixtures coming up
Deadzone Dilemma,
I transferred Firminho out to catch Hazard's price rises and to have the great man in my team. I also have Coutinho, if Sanchez is confirmed crocked, would I be mad to bring Firminho back in with a -4?Not mental but also hopefully a teachable moment.
You just have to look at it from where you are now. It is unfortunate but bear in mind Firmino could still get injured and could still b rested for the game when he comes back
It's not mental but transferring out firmino in the first place probably wasn't the best idea. The Liverpool double up looks great right now
Wait till it's clearer whether Firm and/or Cout will be rested/on the bench for the next gameweek
What is the rest of your team?
of course it is a shame with the turn of events, but let's hope he will be okay.
If not a double up on Liverpool could be very profitable, although a slight risk with the two Brazilians the first game against Soton after the international break. After that great fixtures.Rest of my team:
Cech (Pickford)
Fuchs Clyne Pieters (Holebas, Amat)
Coutinho Sanchez Hazard Snodgrass Allen
Aguero Lukaku Vokes
Next gameweek i am likely to move Clyne to a Chelsea defender.how about bringing Ozil in for Sanchez if he's confirmed out for a period of time? Ozil is well rested as he's not linked up with Germany.
Why on earth did you ditch firmino.
get Mane this time so you dont feel as bad
Hey guys, a bit of discussion about Brunt @ 4.9m who is currently OOP and is on a share of set-pieces.
I was worried about him coming back from an 8 month injury lay-off but this article has somewhat quelled my fears of a re-injury.
It shows that his cardiovascular fitness, maximum speed and body fat % is the same as pre-injury.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3852166/How-Chris-Brunt-lifted-40-elephants-completed-10-triathlons-stood-one-leg-month-battle-eight-month-injury.htmlInteresting article, thanks
No problem
How nailed do we think he is? Is McClean a threat?
A couple of West Brom fans here have suggested Brunt is a Pulis favourite, and he'd find a way to play him. Talk of moving Brunt to left back at some point too.
Thanks for the info
Best 4.4 or below defender (have Friend already)...
1. Nyom
2. Britos
3. L Kone
4. Van dear Horn
5. ??1
Worried that Nyom will be replaced by Brunt eventually (he's not a natural left back after all), but can't be sure one way or the other.
This may have been lost with all the Sanchez/Bellerin panic...but what's happening with Walker?
Neck and neck.. odds on Trump slashed
All US stock market futures have gone from huge gains to huge losses...can this be a sign?!? :O
Squeaky bum time big Don the real deal
New York times, who have had Clinton as a clear favourite all night, now has Trump as favourite with 59%...
I'm glued to CNN
What is going on?!?! I'm gutted. I can't believe this could actually happen.
It's a very real possibility now mate although very very close a lot can change
Trump looking like he could win, what is happening..
Trump at 55% to win it
Has Florida been decided yet?
not yet. Trump in the lead.
Probably Trump
95% of the votes in Trump with slight lead been changing all night
Can we all agree to have a usexit
Can't believe what's happening right now.
NYT has Trump up to 61% atm...
Now at 64% and going up
66% Speechless....
Moving like a runaway freight train...wow
unbelievable..
Hopefully the world does not end up paying too dearly for this "mistake" by Americans.
I am really trying not to be too dramatic, but I believe this will have dire consequences.
Agreed and the consequences will be felt all around the world.
Morning dzzz, did my early transfer but inclined towards taking a hit for a defender as amat seems to have been dropped...have 1.5m itb
Heaton -- Grant
Fuchs pieters amat --- smith holebas
walcott hazard firmino coutinho --- fletcher
kaku kun austin
A: amat >> 5.6m def (-4)..clyne? stones? van dijk? West brom def is an option but they have a tough fixture this gw
B: smith >> alonso (-4)...bournemouth have tough fixtures over the next 8-9 gameweeks but chelsea also have TOT and mci in gw13/14. Also since i am taking a hit for a defender, i would much rather get rid of Amat unless he becomes a starter againdidnt realise wba had a good fixture this gw so amat >> brunt/mcauly is def an option
the issue with getting a wba def is gw 15 when i will have
- mcauly (che)
- pieters (ars)
- holebas (EVE)
It's happening 😀
Donald means business
Hazard will score ___ goals this season

Note the chance of winning presidency graph, it would be extremely weird if it did take a U-turn.
