Following on from our first look at the minutes played over the international break, it’s now time check-in on the final ten clubs.

With domestic matters ready to recommence on Saturday, players who have featured on the other side of the world, particularly on either Tuesday night or the early hours of Wednesday morning, could well arrive back on our shores late and potentially fatigued.

That is a factor to consider as we plan for Gameweek 30, and the two that follow in quick succession. With that in mind, we take time out to review those involved over the international fixtures, assessing the likely impact on the weekend teamsheets and beyond.

Manchester United

Jose Mourinho is expected to be without defenders Phil Jones and Chris Smalling for the home clash against West Bromwich Albion, after the pair suffered injuries while on international duty with England. Marouane Fellaini will also have to be checked after picking up a toe problem for Belgium, while Sergio Romero, Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia will need to be assessed following the long flights back from South America.

David de Gea and Ander Herrera – Spain (24/03 (h) v Israel in Gijon and 28/03 (a) v France in Paris) – De Gea played all 180 minutes. Herrera was limited to 16 minutes off the bench in the 2-0 friendly win over France.
Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo – Argentina (23/03 (h) v Chile in Buenos Aires and 28/03 (a) v Bolivia in La Paz) – Both Romero and Rojo played all 180 minutes.
Antonio Valencia – Ecuador (23/03 (a) v Paraguay in Asunción and 28/03 (h) v Colombia in Quito) – Played all 180 minutes.
Matteo Darmian – Italy (24/03 (h) v Albania in Palermo and 28/03 (a) v Holland in Amsterdam) – Was an unused substitute against Albania, before playing 89 minutes in the 2-1 friendly win over Holland.
Eric Bailly – Ivory Coast (24/03 (a) v Russia in Krasnodar and 27/03 (n) v Senegal in Paris) – Played the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 win over Russia, and 88 in Paris, before the match was abandoned.
Daley Blind – Holland (25/03 (a) v Bulgaria in Sofia and 28/03 (h) v Italy in Amsterdam) – Played the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 defeat to Bulgaria, and 83 minutes against Italy.
Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford – England (22/03 (a) v Germany in Dortmund and 26/03 (h) v Lithuania in London) – Shaw was limited to just seven minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Germany. Smalling played 84 minutes in Dortmund, but had to withdraw from the squad due to a leg injury. Jones, meanwhile, suffered a foot injury at the hands of Smalling in a training session, forcing him to pull out of the squad before the Germany clash. Lingard only played 19 minutes against Germany, while Rashford came off the bench in both matches, playing 20 minutes against Germany, and 30 minutes at Wembley.
Marouane Fellaini – Belgium (25/03 (h) v Greece in Brussels and 28/03 (a) v Russia in Sochi) – Played 66 minutes against Greece, but was forced off with a toe injury, which saw the midfielder sit out the friendly with Russia.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Armenia (26/03 (h) v Kazakhstan in Yerevan) – Played the full 90 minutes, and scored in the 2-0 win.

Middlesbrough

Steve Agnew will need to check on Cristhian Stuani ahead of Sunday’s trip to Swansea City, although the extra days preparation should help the forward’s chances of being an option to start.

Cristhian Stuani – Uruguay (23/03 (h) v Brazil in Montevideo and 29/03 (a) v Peru in Lima) – Limited to just 32 minutes off the bench in the 4-1 defeat to Brazil.

Southampton

Maya Yoshida will discuss his fitness levels with manager Claude Puel before deciding whether will play Saturday’s home match against Bournemouth, with the centre-back certainly in line to be rested for one of Saints’ next three matches after playing 180 minutes for Japan. James Ward-Prowse and Nathan Redmond will be buoyed by making their senior England debuts in the 1-0 defeat to Germany.

Fraser Forster, Ryan Bertrand, James Ward-Prowse and Nathan Redmond – England (22/03 (a) v Germany in Dortmund and 26/03 (h) v Lithuania in London) – Forster was an unused substitute in both matches. Bertrand played 83 minutes in Dortmund, and the full 90 in the 2-0 win over Lithuania. Ward-Prowse and Redmond both made their England debuts against Germany, playing 24 and seven minutes respectively. Neither featured in the World Cup qualifier against Lithuania.
Maya Yoshida – Japan (23/03 (a) v UAE in Al Ain and 28/03 (h) v Thailand in Saitama) – Played all 180 minutes, and scored in the 4-0 win over Thailand.
Cedric Soares – Portugal (25/03 (h) v Hungary in Lisbon and 28/03 (h) v Sweden in Funchal) – Played the full 90 minutes in the 3-0 win over Hungary, but was an unused substitute in the 3-2 friendly defeat to Sweden.

Sam McQueen and Jack Stephens – England (24/03 (a) v Germany in Wiesbaden and 27/03 (a) v Denmark in Randers) – McQueen played the full match against Denmark, while Stephens played 90 minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Germany.
Steven Davis – Northern Ireland (26/03 (h) v Norway in Belfast) – Played the full 90 minutes, and registered an assist in the 2-0 win.
Dusan Tadic – Serbia (24/03 (a) v Georgia in Tbilisi) – Played the full 90 minutes, and registered a goal and two assists in the 3-1 win.
Shane Long – Republic of Ireland (24/03 (h) v Wales in Dublin and 28/03 (h) v Iceland) – Played the full match against Wales, but only featured for 18 minutes as a substitute in the 1-0 friendly defeat to Iceland.

Stoke City

Ramadan Sobhi may face slightly limited preparation time for Saturday’s trip to Leicester City after playing in Egypt on Tuesday. Geoff Cameron may need to be checked, with the defender being troubled by a quad strain. Xherdan Shaqiri is also a concern after confirming he suffered a recurrence of a calf complaint while on duty for Switzerland.

Geoff Cameron – United States (25/03 (h) v Honduras in San Jose and 29/03 (a) v Panama in Ciudad de Panamá) – Played 59 minutes against Honduras before being substituted. Didn’t feature against Panama.

Sunderland

John O’Shea will need to be assessed ahead of the trip to Watford after picking up a shin injury during the goalless draw with Wales. Bryan Oviedo could face limited preparation time after playing for Costa Rica in Honduras on Tuesday, so he will also need to be monitored. Jermain Defoe will arrive back at the Stadium of Light in confident mood after netting on his return to the England fold.

Jordan Pickford – England U21 (24/03 (a) v Germany in Wiesbaden and 27/03 (a) v Denmark in Randers) – Played the full match against Germany, but didn’t feature against Denmark.

Lukasz Fabianski – Poland (26/03 (a) v Montenegro in Podgorica) – 90 minutes.

Oliver McBurnie – Scotland U21 (28/03 (h) v Estonia in Paisley) – Started in the goalless draw.

Tottenham Hotspur

Vincent Janssen had to withdraw from the Holland squad after suffering a chest infection, but Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful the striker will be okay for Saturday’s trip to Burnley. The Spurs boss revealed Son Heung-min arrived back on Thursday, with the South Korean looking to lead the attack at Turf Moor in Harry Kane’s continued absence.

Hugo Lloris – France (25/03 (a) v Luxembourg in Luxembourg City and 28/03 (h) v Spain in Paris) – 180 minutes.
Michel Vorm and Vincent Janssen – Holland (25/03 (a) v Bulgaria in Sofia and 28/03 (h) v Italy in Amsterdam) – Vorm was an unused substitute in both matches. Janssen had to withdraw from the squad due to a chest infection.

Tony Pulis has also hinted at rotation due to the busy upcoming schedule, with Nacer Chadli and James McClean perhaps vulnerable after featuring prominently for Belgium and Republic of Ireland respectively.

Gareth McAuley, Jonny Evans and Chris Brunt – Northern Ireland (26/03 (h) v Norway in Belfast) – All three completed the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 win over Norway, with Brunt supplying an assist.

      Heya Karan

I have a similar choice - i.e. do I bring in Davies or Vardy first to finance Sanchez

Going for the fun factor and putting Vardy in - Bavies will come in for my stricken RFM tomorrow after the Spurs game... hopefully he survives the drop tonight!

Hiiii Lads... been away for a few days
    How you all doing?? 😀

Is it absolutely necessary to get a replacement for Coleman this gw if I can cover the 3rd def spot with Fernandez???

Got only 1FT looking at doing an attacking transfer... don't wanna take a hit for a defender

    Opinions???

Nope, of course it isn't if you feel like you can cover it.

I had to do Valencia cos I also have RFM injured - but I'm taking the actual hit to get an attacker too. Never a fan of defensive -4s!

Haha yeah him or Billy Jones I've been looking at for the bargain bin... I do like Defoe actually, still think he has another 5 or 6 goals in him before the end of the year and he'll be empowered by England / possibility of earning himself another season in the prem, so he might come in for Llorente eventually

Yep nice, but you won't see too many attacking returns. I'd fancy even further budget saving with Bavies (getting him in midweek for RFM I think) but it depends if you have your WC as Rose could come back before end of the season

I feel the same to be honest, can't get it right this season, was around 20k this time last year but still hovering at 100k currently. No more negative talk about Vardy from here on though pls because he is guaranteed a brace, assist and 3 bonus points this week and a hat trick against Sunderland the week after 🙂

Yeah definitely, am thinking the magic 24 pointer (goal and assist + all 3 bonus) x2 from Vardy - it's my minimum expectation from a captain hehe but I haven't got it this year.

I'm exactly the same. Smashed it last year (though DGW34 really helped, which we don't really have this year) and was at about 3k finish, but this year I was really happy last gameweek when I snuck into the top 100k. Sadness!

              COME ON RATFACE 🙂 lol

(quick question mate, whilst I've got you - would you do a -8 for Antonio->Sanchez this weekend? Or wait and do a -4 midweek?)

Just reposted, but yeah it's a fugly team:

                  Jaku / Randolph
Brunt Alonso Pieters Valencia / RFM*
Siggy Mane Eriksen / Fletcher Antonio*
                  Kaku Llorente Vardy (c)

So I'm basically playing Pieters or Brunt.

Worth a -8 to bring Sanchez in to that lot? Or wait and do the -4 midweek? Really don't know the best move 🙂

This week? Done Coleman>Valencia and waiting til pressers over to pull trigger on Kun>Vardy to free up the cash - going for points rather than squad maintenance.

Next week would be Bavies in for RFM and then Sanchez in for Antonio to sort out my injury crisis :).

But can do Sanchez for Antonio any time now I have freed up the Kun money.

If you are taking a hit for Sanchez next week anyway then yep, take a -4 this week and bench Pieters, play Brunt. It was the -8 bit that confused me (I'm easily confused). Good luck

                        Sorry, yeah maybe I wasn't clear 🙂

This week so far I will have taken a -4. It will take me up to -8 to bring Sanchez in. Just wondering if that's justified, or playing Brunt/Pieters is better 🙂

Tempted to take your advice... tbh I'm remembering that post IB gameweeks tend to be low scoring, so I might well just err on the side of caution and give Sanchez the weekend to prove fitness.

-8 would be Sanchez in for Antonio.

        Already done:
        Coleman -> Valencia

I assume you will transfer Sanchez midweek anyway, is that right?

If so, you might do it today, City game maybe not the most appealing but he's the best player in fpl and explosive enough to justify that move

Little, depends more on Silva and Sterling this year. KdB playing further back in the "engine room" of the team alongside Yaya - last year, was definitely more involved with Kun hauls.

Source: owned KdB for quite a while this season. Only got points through luck. Not good enough as an FPL prospect.

I'd say he is more impacted by teh likes of Sane and Sterling these days than KDB who is sitting deeper and deeper every game I watch. Owning KDB during this season has been pretty hard to stomach at times.

Current team with 1FT and £5.9m ITB

    Pickford
    Alonso, Luiz, Valencia
    Sterling, Mane, Coutinho, Sigurdsson
    Carroll, Lukaku, Llorente

    Foster, Capoue, Pieters, Evans

I guess the obvious transfer targets are Sanchez, Vardy, Tottenham and maybe Man Utd players.

Sterling to Sanchez perhaps the obvious move? (Irritating because I thought I made this move last week but obviously forgot to confirm it - d'oh!)

Same array of players (except Eriksen not Alli here). I'm doing Kun -> Vardy and captaining - don't like any of them.

Of those, I'd actually be considering Siggy the most (got armband on him atm but that'll change after pressers). After that maybe the punt on Kun. I don't like the early ko captain so Mane/Kaku out. Defender captain too variable - one lucky deflection and you lose so many points 🙁

Have 2 FT, what do you think of this?

    OUT: Aguero and Llorente
    IN: Costa and Vardy

Vardy in for Llorente ideally. But if not, Kun->Vardy then use the Kun money elsewhere.

Ward to Valencia for a hit - long term proposition with a DGW worth investing

I thought about that, but not convinced he will get full minutes with the heavy fixture load!

Have you got enough to do Antonio -> Sanchez ? Be tempted to do it now if so - if not, hold and then see what -4 you can do next time out (maybe Antonio+Firmino -> Sanchez and cheapie?)

        Nope, not enough for that!

It would have to be Mane or Firmino for Sanchez and not willing to do that this week.

Plus Liverpool seem to have a great run in...

Mane or firmino to sanchez I would think

Tough call though with Everton's defensive injuries!

You would have to think Klopp will play Firmino and Mane up top?

Youch. Depends on what others in your ML etc are doing

All could get you attacking returns - be tempted to probably do what you're doing and play Maguire. I'm starting Jaku over Randolph!

I've got Brunt at the moment on the bench this week, he hasn't got me anything since owning him so I bet he pulls something out against ManU the week before I sh!itcan him for Yoshida...

      A. Don't like B. Must be able to do something better midweek for a -4.

When's the best time to WC? I'm thinking this week given the break/injuries?

WC when you know more re dgw 37 fixtures.

Could be worth it. 3 games in 9 days, definitely worth having your squad sorted for. If I'd have gotten 1 more injury on IB I'd wildcard - if managers this afternoon rule out another player of mine (had Antonio, Coleman, RFM all out) I'll do it.

But probably optimal is 35/6. I'm thinking 35 after loading up on Boro/United in 34 to gain max value from WC - if I do it in 36 I only get the value from 37, so I might as well tailor my squad from 35 to give myself some boost for then too

Anyone here having the guts to do Lukaku>Vardy now for the favourable fixtures of Vardy?

Both could score in this next patch so I've got both...
