Gameweek 36 finally comes to an end this evening as Southampton entertain Arsenal at St Mary’s.

Alexis Sanchez will again be the focus of most managers’ attentions. Sitting in over 27% of FPL squads, the Chilean was the most captained player (11.2%) in the round of fixtures but a blank at home to Man United in his first match of Double Gameweek 36 means he has now netted just once in seven league appearances.

Meanwhile, his team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks to add to a pair of assists in the 2-0 weekend win over Jose Mourinho’s side. The Gunners’ wing-back has been drafted in by over 15,000 FPL managers this week for a Double Gameweek 37 against Stoke and Sunderland.

For the Saints, Manolo Gabbiadini was the fourth most transferred in player ahead of last week’s deadline, with over 108,000 taking the plunge.

Yet a blank against Liverpool took his run to one assist in five, as Claude Puel’s defence racked up the points at Anfield instead thanks to a fourth clean sheet in seven.

Thanks to his spot-kick stop away to Liverpool, the Saints’ Fraser Forster leads the way among the Double Gameweek contingent on 16 points ahead of tonight’s 7.45pm encounter.

    I see a lot of love for Holding on here, but they are not nailed imo. With Kosc training this week, he might get back in the starting 11 for next gw. Arsenal will probably line up like this;
    CB; Mustafi, Kosc, Monreal
    WB; Bellerin, Gibbs

    Only way Holding will play is if Kosc is still injured, or Gibbs gets dropped and Monreal playing wb.

      Although I suggest if you are to get Holding that you make sure that you are only getting him as an enabler, not a kneejerky move

        He's left footed so Wenger will keep him for balance. Gibbs is more attacking anyway, Monreal better at defending. It's the most experienced and best team for the last few games of the season.

      I think Monreal will slot into LWB with Kos coming in.

          @Plerix. If Holding is an enabler for other transfers, I think so.

          Looking at these transfers for a -16:

          Gibson --> Kompany
          Bailly --> Holding
          JWP --> Sané
          Benteke --> Jesus
          Gabbi --> Anichebe

            You already own Stephens and Holgate?
            I'm not sure about your plan HG. Those enablers, especially if Holding gets dropped, are deadwood imo. You may have to sacrifise a more expensive player to fund your upgrades.

              I own neither of Stephens and Holgate. Stephens a safer enabler than Holding then perhaps?

              Soton assets just stink really. Anichebe is going to get more gametime than Gabbi and may actually match him. Sané will prob outscore JWP by a big margin too.

                Stephens over Holding, yes, for the reasons stated above. They're playing relegated 'Boro and a United side with focus on Europe.

                People were questioning Gabbiadinis gametime against Arsenal as well, he got 90 mins.

                I do like the look of Sane, Kompany and Jesus, but just not sure if a -16 including Holding and Anichebe is the way to go πŸ™‚

                    Otamendi is quite a diff himself though, fairly the same ownership as Kompany, and only 0.1 difference in price. Good luck!

      I picked him knowing that he hasn't been fully fit lately, but I was willing to take the risk with his goal threat and almost guaranteed bonus points in the back of my mind. Too bad it didn't work out.

      If Wenger is still 50/50 about his fitness in his next presser, I'm not taking any chance and moving right on to Mustafi or Monreal.

    97 points from a wildcard and team in good shape to finish strong.. One minor change I made was Albrighton to JWP which would have passed the 100 mark but obviously delighted..

      You don't need to pay member ship to get decent scores. All the info is all over the net anyway for free if you want it.
      Personally when I became a member I found it info overload ruined my rank and ruined my enjoyment of it.

    Decent green arrow has turned into a small green. Koscielny been injured for the saints game. Meant I lost the balancing out factor not having Sanchez.
