The Gameweek concludes at the Emirates Stadium, as Arsenal pay host to West Bromwich Albion.

In short, tonight’s match is very much an audition for Arsenal’s Fantasy assets, who will need to impress in order to enter our thinking for the Gameweeks ahead.

The Gunners have so far been a source of frustration, not least for manager Arsene Wenger.

Alexandre Lacazette has shown glimpses and flirted with our line-ups but goes into tonight’s match cast in the shadow of other heavy-hitters in attack. The Frenchman is still part of 10.2% of squads, though that total continues to dwindle.

Sead Kolasinac is another temptation and perhaps a more viable option.

He has impressed when handed the opportunities by Wenger and now seemingly cemented at left wing-back, he has the chance this evening to play his way into our defences. At 6.0 however, he will need to convince us to push funds into our backlines at a time when attacking players are very much the priority.

Alexis Sanchez could be one of those attacking options but his season has stalled due to injury and unrest to this point. He starts tonight and could easily become the headline act to spark Wildcards and transfer hits aplenty.

But, despite a miserable record at the Emirates, West Brom will surely prove a difficult barrier for Sanchez and Wenger’s attack.

Tony Pulis’ rearguard have conceded the fewest shots in the box in away matches this season (14) and the fewest big chances (2) – both records shared with leaders Manchester City.

They will also pose a threat to Arsenal at set-pieces. Craig Dawson – owned by 4.9% – scored a brace from corner kicks the last time these two teams met.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Top half of the PL table looking very familiar. Watford the outliers in 6th. Arsenal will overtake them soon enough though.

    Any particular reason?

Sigh...There are plenty of forwards who look good value, but much fewer mids. I am happy with my forwards, besides Jesus, and I'm looking to rectify that by getting Morata or Jesus (who are premium forwards btw). So that leaves me with the question:

        A) Sanchez + Morata
        B) Hazard + Aguero

Possible, but it means I can't double up on Chelsea defence if I want to.

I've had money ITB for too long and I want to spend it. I personally think the extra money for Sanchez is worth it over Hazard, and the same for Aguero over Morata, so it makes sense to me to choose between A or B here. But yeah, it's possible

why the outlay on those 2 mids right now? neither look as good as silva, eriksen or salah at the moment and the extra money can be put into strikers or upgrade your enablers? just leave a route to get one in in case they do start performing

      1. Deulofail
        • 9 Years
        8 years, 2 months ago

I've left the route for 3 weeks. It's time for me because I'm happy with my whole team, but I have the money to indulge on a big mid.

I really feel like people are worried that others are going to find another way to score points than they are taking themselves. I could get Eriksen, but if the money is just going to sit in my bank, I think Sanchez and Hazard are low risk alternatives that could blow up (in a good way! 😀 ).

        A) Sanchez + Morata
        B) Hazard + Aguero

Firm + Alonso --> Morata and 5.5 defender for -4? I can see Morata getting two rises this week, and whilst there is a risk of him getting injured in CL or international break I'm a sucker for price rises. Could easily get burnt though, what are other Firm owners doing?

I kept an eye on the center-backs' positioning in this line-up and they're not really sure what they're doing. One of them always stood way too high, which kind of butchers this 3 at the back line-up to look like 2 at the back with wingbacks and an extra player not skilled enough to prepare attacks.
