Saturday continues with a modest quartet of three o’clock kick-offs and, again, the array of Fantasy talent on show is somewhat limited.

Few of today’s afternoon kick-offs scream attacking football and goals, which will leave many managers waiting expectantly on clean sheet returns.

Newcastle United’s Rob Elliot – part of 26.7% of squads – is the most popular asset on show, with his managers hoping for a fourth clean sheet of the campaign when Bournemouth drop by Tyneside. However, some 57% of Elliot’s 1.4 million owners keep him benched today.

Ahmed Hegazi’s ownership continues to decline at pace, though he is still part of 21.5% of squads ahead of a visit to Huddersfield Town. The John Smith’s Stadium fixture is another that promises to be a tight affair: only Swansea City have mustered fewer shots than those two sides so far this season.

The Swans are also in action. They host Brighton in an encounter that sees two cut-price third striker options share the pitch, as Glenn Murray goes head-to-head with Tammy Abraham. The Chelsea loanee is one of the most signed prior to today’s deadline – some 222,000+ have snapped him up for the meeting with the Seagulls.

Southampton host Burnley in the final of the four afternoon matches. Again, Fantasy managers will be hoping for few goals here, with defenders the most popular assets on show.

Saints keeper Frazer Forster and left-back Ryan Bertrand are found in 9.7% of squads, with the Clarets’ Stephen Ward now owned by 15.9% of managers.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      53 from 5. Salah as a captain and Bournemouth defence did the trick

    Decided to go with Daniels and Fabianski over Ward and Elliot last minute. 1 point down.

    Also got Duffy 7 pointer on my bench. Hope Ota and Jones keep CS's now.

    Duffy and Ward on the bench. That is the drawbacks of having Alonso, Otamendi and Jones, feel I can't bench them!

      We basically have the same defence. I have Daniels instead of Alonso though.

      Just think of it as a good thing when we need a strong bench for the Xmas period!

    Spurs have qualified in the champions league? Would it make sense that Davies plays in the league then rose gets the CL match to build up fitness? Think I'll hold another gw

      No.

    This game is so based on luck. I played Elliot (3) instead of Ryan (6) and Naughton (2) instead of ward (6) .That was logic move, everybody here said that, odds said that and that was my opinion too. 70 % is luck in this game

      Game is very interesting, my first year. But my problem is I am very competative in every sport or game I played. Just need to chill and it will be ok 😀

      Not luck over 38 weeks.

      Probability. And calculated risk. And decision-making.

      You are probably all right. I can't argue with you because you are probably more expirienced than me. I'm doing fine for now. For first year what is good rank by the end of the season?

        Difficult to say - each season is different and the common consensus is that each year gets harder (more players, more data available etc).

        I would say Top 100k this year would be very good to aim for for a debut season. Top 50k would be a job very well done indeed. Top 10k the dream.

          And to make you feel a bit better - here is a genuine example of luck biting hard...

          Two seasons ago, I somehow managed to be about 700th in the world with one game to go - the Utd vs Bournemouth match that was rearranged because of a bomb scare.

          I had Smalling. He had a clean sheet and bonus points. Until he scored an own goal with the last kick of the season....

          Sometimes you have just got to laugh.....

    1M in Bank
    I have triple Spurs this week as was against crystal palace.
    I have Salah
    The plan was son -> Coutinho
    Do you think son more nailed on ?
    Are Coutinho & Ericksen playing deeper when all are fit

    So instead Ericksen -> Mane
    Otemendi -> Walker
