Is now the time to give up on the premium strikers – we’re looking at you Harry – and throw our cash at a “power five” midfield?

It’s a big question that requires a crack team to answer.

Unfortunately, we only have the ScoutCast crew available, though we did manage to pull off a big loan signing to help us out.

Jay Eggersdorf – the current “live” Hall of Fame number one joins Jonty, Andy and Az as we take on the big topic of the day.

In the middle of another stunning season – Jay reveals his strategy behind his recent move to shed Kane on the back of another impressive points tally.

Then on 44 minutes, Jay’s phone is almost drained of life. Tickled by the on-camera events that follow, Jonty and Az struggle to hold it together to discuss the recruitment of Paul Pogba and the merits of West Ham investment before we look ahead to Gameweek 19.

It’s an intense 90-minutes, with the frivolity of this “festive” ScoutCast limited to silly jumpers and hats. Though we each get the opportunity to reveal our Christmas wish.

Just one wafer-thin hat-trick please Harry.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

F, if it is Lowton instead of Duffy. Brighton have nice fixtures, Burnley don´t. I would just play Kaba instead of Morata and maybe RLC instead of DCL as the former has a nice set up vs Swansea. If you want a minus four i would suggest you move Morata, Kane and RLC into something like Firmino, Austin and Sané/Pogba?

security of start and a lesser talented striker, a if you want a much better striker but not nailed and maybe heel brokened go for b. If b is short term and a long term i would say a but b if both is just for one game.

Hi DZ! Would appreciate some help here:

    A. Ward to Ogbonna (save an FT) or
    B. Morata + Ward to Austin + Christensen/Jones

B will also leave me enough for Carroll to Pogba next week for a 'Power 5.' Leaning that route at the moment.

    current team:
    Fabianski
    Otamendi Kabasele Dunk
    Haz Salah Sterling Richarlison
    Kane Morata* DCL
    Subs: Elliot Carroll Simpson Ward*
    2FTs, 0.2 in the bank

      For GW19, Austin and Richarlison.

Beyond that, Austin needs a rotation option. DCL works well as it happens.

Hi Mark, I really don't like this rotation option at all. Huge risk of benching points and playing blanks. Soton fix also pretty bad after this gw?

Cheers - I have DCL so the rotation is an option. It's just the prospect of having two FWDs who are both rotation risks...

Is there any cap poll going?

Who are people capping this gameweek?

I want to do A/ but know that B/ is the right call.... advice please
A/ Kane, Richarlison + RLC -> Pogba, Austin + Sterling (-4) (bench Morata, start DLC)
B/ Morata + RLC -> Sterling + Austin (cant do Rich -> Pogba next week)
C/ Morata + RLC -> Quaner + Sterling (enough money to do Rich to Pogba next week).

    First time rolling out 4-5-1:

    Fabianski
    Alonso / Otamendi / Masuaku / Jorgensen
    Sane(C) / Pogba / Salah / Richarlison / RLC
    Kane
    (Nor, Morata*, Duffy*, Niasse)

My bench is a right pain in the Niasse though!

May all your Christmas hits come off. GL all 🙂

Goodbye Richarlison. Got a feeling this one could hurt.

How did you squeeze Sterling in, Berb?

This is the team I'm aiming for the DGW. I've put an asterisk by the players I'm planning to put in

    Adrian*
    Christensen Jones Masuaku
    Hazard Salah Eriksen* Sterling Arnautovic*
    Kane DCL Depoitre*

    Decent plan? Or overkill?

Depoitre is not a dbl gw player so far from overkill

Got to have him to fund the moves 😛

It would be nice if Sakho emerged as an option at 5.5

oh and I added Depoitre in the starting 11 when he's probably benched

Eriksen is probably the one that's overkill and feels like an imminent transfer out afterwards. Interestingly, the West Ham mid you choose might have a longer stay in your side given their run of fixtures after the double.

    Richarlison->Pogba next GW?

    Ryan Elliot
    Otamendi Christensen Jones Mustafi Daniels
    Salah Coutinho Sane Sterling Richarlison
    Morata Firmino Calvert

      Very poor forwards this week.

You should rather save the cash to get Kane back in for the DGW. Richarlison got nice fixtures. Watford had 2 shitty games due to red cards, but they have proved they can score goals. Mou parks the bus. Even against Bristol.

For a team taking -12 last GW surely Jays could need another -8 this week. What do you think he will end up doing?
