An unceremonious defeat at the hands of League One Wigan may have scuppered Pep Guardiola’s quest for a legendary quartet of titles but Manchester City’s Premier League form has been as strong as ever.

After sweeping five goals past Leicester in their final fixture before the FA Cup break, City have now found the net an impressive 79 times this season – a full 18 clear of their nearest rival, Liverpool.

With five attackers – Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, David Silva and Sergio Aguero – all past the 100-point threshold in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), City have clearly proven themselves to represent our most reliable source of regular Fantasy points.

As 19,000 delirious Wigan fans discovered on Monday night, however, there is a marked difference between City’s form at home and on their travels.

In this latest Technical Area article for members, we will put this under scrutiny, with particular reference to the merits of keeping faith in Man City’s attacking assets.

How is this referee Çakir still getting CL games after his disgraceful red card for Nani in the last 16 vs Real a few years ago?

    Unbelievable

Although i also thought the Nani red was wrong he did give him an excuse on the night.

He was a total disgrace in an World Cup qualifier between Northern Ireland and Hungary and totally robbed NI in that game.

I am thinking of overhauling my team, I have 2 free transfers
    My team is

    Begovic
    Shaw Bauer Mee Maguire
    Sanchez Salah Sterling Walcott
    Aguero Sturridge

Subs - Elliot Ayew Ibe Gomez

I am thinking of doing the following Sturridge , Sanchez, Sterling Ayew out for
Kane, Firminho, Arnie and Kennedy (cheapest 4.7 who is likely to play) that would be a 8 point hitng

No I don’t have it, my team was a mess a while ago so I gambled and made changes to bring in Sanchez and a few others and it backfired so now need to rebuild it. I plan on making some changes this week then the following week.

What do you think of my proposed changes?

I am in a bit of a same kind of mess.

      My team

      Courtois-coleman
      Bauer-simpson-alonso-smalling-goldson
      Alexis-sterling-hazard-salah-choupo
      Aguero-rodriguez-ayew

I have 2ft's and going to do -4

      alexis+aguero+rodriguez OUT
      mahrez+firmino+vardy IN

Your def is fine, just start maguire, mee and gomez. Put bauer for first sub.

Just do alexis, aguero and sturridge OUT.

I was thinking of bringing either mahrez or arnie in for Sanchez to give me money to improve my defence next week.

Who you think better option? Do you think mahrez will be back to his best again?

£14m this season. But go back a few years (when he scored 40+ goals in La Liga) and he would be at £16m

Emerson would not be trusted in the next PL games and Alonso would be a lock for Palaca ahead of the second leg.
