Dugout Discussion – Watford vs Everton

Saturday’s slate of seven matches comes to a conclusion at Vicarage Road as Watford entertain Everton at 5.30pm.

This evening’s encounter affords Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers the chance of short-term scouting, with both sides two of only eight teams currently guaranteed to play in Gameweek 31.

The Hornets swept aside Chelsea 4-1 in their previous home match under Javi Gracia, with the likes of Gerard Deulofeu and Abdoulaye Doucoure emerging as potential targets for our five-man midfields.

Meanwhile, both Theo Walcott and Oumar Niasse will fancy their chances against the league’s worst home defence.

The Toffees pair have both delivered two goals and an assist in the last four Gameweeks to earn the interest of Fantasy managers.

Indeed, Niasse was the fourth most transferred in player for Gameweek 28, claiming over 152,00 new owners, while 40,000+ have opted for Walcott as they square up to a backline that’s conceded 26 times in front of their own fans.

        Everton are terrible away from home. It's big Sam's modus operandi. It might be worth it to bring in an Everton defender, but they suck in defense too.

      Still makes no sense how it is Mane vs VVD. One is a midfielder priced at over £9m and another is a defender at £5.5m. The choice is Mane vs another midfielder and VVD vs another defender IMO. I got in VVD because I had a Phil Jones problem to solve. Mane isn't as good as other options IMO.

        Money will not be a constraint in GW31 with Kun and Kane blanking so I don’t buy the money argument.

        Obviously if you are getting him in this/last GW then it’s a different consideration.

    Hopes/predictions for Chelsea v United tmr???
    Hoping for 1-0 chelsea, with azpi cs + assist(/goal), and ddg conceeding but racking up some save points.
    Would say 0-0, but my head to head has ddg, valencia, alonso and azpi lol.

      So apart from Liverpool for Gw31 nobody else is looking attractive apart i think Huddersfield possibly who are being scornfully overlooked.6 goals in their last 2 league games (all be it against Bournemouth and west Brom) fighting for their premiership lives and at home against a Palace team ravaged by injuries.I think im going to punt on a couple though i am a Town fan ! 🙂
