Gameweek 32 gets back underway at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal host struggling Stoke City.
From a Fantasy perspective, much will be expected of the Gunners and in particular striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
He goes into today’s encounter as the second most signed player ahead of Saturday’s deadline, with over 362,000 managers snapping him up.
Aubameyang was likely acquired with this and the next fixture – a home clash with Southampton – in mind. With no Double Gameweek fixture to come, he could soon make way in many squads, though those without the Wildcard and/or the Free Hit chip, will likely be looking to hold with Arsenal in action in Gameweek 35.
The Gabon international was rightly seen as immune to Arsene Wenger’s rotation, with the striker ineligible to feature in Arsenal’s Europa League campaign and their tie with CSKA Moscow on Thursday.
That policy is in evidence again today, with Henrik Mkhitaryan the big name to make way. He drops to the bench as Aaron Ramsey is recalled to the midfield on his return to fitness. The Armenian was the second most popular target in the Gunners’ squad, earning 99,000 new owners ahead of Gameweek 32.
Elsewhere, Petr Cech also misses out with a calf injury as David Ospina takes his place in goal.
Stoke City recall Moritz Bauer and look to play him on the right of midfield in a 4-2-3-1. Both Kurt Zouma and Kostas Stafylidis are sidelined through injury as Eric Pieters and Bruno Martins-Indi come into a back four.
