The Big Numbers – Gameweek 35

Next, we take a look back at the post-match data in our usual members’ analysis of the previous Gameweek.

We skew our analysis towards Double Gameweek 37 assets, as Man City, Arsenal and West Ham’s attacks all feature. Meanwhile, Newcastle’s form at both ends of the pitch is also assessed prior to their favourable weekend fixture and double-header.

5-2 is a horrendous result, considering what went on in that game

Yep. 10-2 would have been a fair result.

Not as bad as we make it sound. Think Pool fans should be positive rather than feel down.

It is pretty bad. Liverpool should be preparing for the final right now. So many missed chances and those silly two goals conceded. A 3-0 win for Roma obviously isnt out of the question

Before the game Pool would have taken that result hands down. Pool will score in Rome anyway.

I am saying it's a bad result based on what happened in the game, not what they would have taken before the game

Roma had a stronghold on the game in the first 25 minutes though. Games can change incredibly quickly. Roma deserved the 2 goals based on the last 20 minutes of the match.

Yeah considering how in control Liverpool were after the first 25 minutes. Mane + Wijnaldum + Lovren misses could cost them.

not really, most fans would have taken that before the game..

doesn't really matter considering what went on in the game... it lasts 90 mins plus injury time, like i say most fans would have take 5-2 all day long, liverpool will score at least one away goal if not two so can't see what all the panic is about really.

Same thing happened again: when Salah's subbed off, Liverpool don't know what's going on and start to concede goals with ease.

I was just about to say exactly the same thing!
I feel quite lucky as I sold Salah a few weeks ago and have been terrified every time he takes the field. The guy is just amazing, probably the best player I've seen in my lifetime. In this form - better than Ronaldo and Messi in my opinion.
Hopefully he will be rested, along with Mane and Firmino, all kept fresh for the return leg.

I think Bobby rests, Salah plays 60 and Mane plays 90. Poss. Salah and Bobby both rest. Stoke is the only game he can do this in. Then 100% all play for rest of season.

I never said all of them but they certainly don't do the reputation of the club any good given their previous form. These great nights of European football are constantly being over shadowed by the behaviour of their fans

LOL Stoke are going down but they've been better under Lambert. The one big loss came at Arsenal (3-0) and they kept them at bay for about 80 minutes until 3 goals right at the end. If Mo isn't in the starting lineup, I think he can be confidently sold with at CHE the next match.

TC is extremely risky, if Pool go a couple up he is sure be subbed.

They’ll all get sterling if he’s benched or captain if he plays. Simples.

Probably. If firmino doesn't starts I am gonna go aubameyang / Jesus with Alli or sterling captain

          DDG (Ryan)
Lowton - Long - Morgan (Alonso* - Van der Hoorn)
Mahrez - Salah - Son - Willian (Gross)
          Lukaku - Vardy - Barnes

          1FT, 0.4 banked.
34k rank, still have fingers crossed for 10k finish!

            Any thoughts?

            Considering Lukaku ---> Jesus..
Means no Kane though.. Cant afford Mahrez --> Sterling..

            A) wait this week to get 2FT. then do mahrez Lukaku someone --> sterling kane someone cheaper
            B) If salah not likely to start this weekend, do salah lukaku to city mid kane

tbh im also doing jayew in for barnes, but you got other things more important to sort

I’m okay going the next 2 without him regardless of him playing.

Meh in a way it’s annoying.

If he doesn’t start they can get a prime city mid with ease.

thinking the same, it would be Sterling twice or Salah once in GW37 for me, will leave money in the back to get him back for GW38 however.
