I think I'm going to go for:

    Neuer - Uzoho
    Meunier - Danilo - Tagliafico - Pavard - Varela
    Muller - Isco - Cueva - Al-Dawsari - Sanchez
    Messi - Lukaku - Jesus

Am surprised by the Neuer love (being German myself) -would much rather get Kimmich from the German defence for attacking returns (if you can squeeze him in)

It comes down to price really, and timing for keepers. I want Uzoho to be my keeper that plays first so I am left with Neuer, Courtois and Pickford for my premium keeper. Pickford I don't fancy. Courtois/Kimmich costs more than Neuer/Meunier and that is pretty much what it comes down to.

Great article - something to blame when it goes horribly wrong (like my Mbappe ‘injury’ vs Lukaku debate)....

Who is better out of Lo Celso and Meza in terms of points potential?

    1. Netley Lucas
      • 8 Years
      5 years, 10 months ago

Meza, Los Celso is a risky starter

      1. palace ash
        • 14 Years
        5 years, 10 months ago

How do we know Meza is a more assured starter? He has played a grand total of 2 games for Argentina (one of which was a 6-1 defeat).
And is he likely to get any attacking points if he does start?

        1. Netley Lucas
          • 8 Years
          5 years, 10 months ago

Because he has trained consistently with the XI whereas Los Celso has been in and out of the XI in training.

Sidibe did train away from the XI and is deemed fit enough to stay in Russia so look at it as a 1 week punt for now.

    - bench boost in round 1 or 2
    - max captain in round 1 or 2

I can think of quite a few 4.5s I'd prefer to the ones you have:
      Varela, Pavard, Mojica, Akanji.
In fact you could have quite a nice defence with Meunier, Danilo/Tripper, and three of those mentioned above
