Best West Ham players to sign on FPL in 2018/19 – Complete Members’ Analysis

West Ham United’s line-up for their trip to Anfield in Gameweek 1 will have a very different look to the side that sleepwalked to a 13th-place finish in 2017/18.

Summer signings Lukasz Fabianski (£4.5m), Issa Diop (£4.5m), Fabian Balbuena (£4.5m), Ryan Fredericks (£5.0m), Jack Wilshere (£5.0m), Andriy Yarmolenko (£7.0m) and Felipe Anderson (£7.0m) all have realistic chances of starting against Liverpool a week on Sunday, while new manager Manuel Pellegrini has ditched the three-man backline favoured by predecessor David Moyes in favour of an attacking 4-3-3.

West Ham were a team of contradictions last season; no side conceded more league goals than the Hammers, but only the clubs finishing in the top seven kept more clean sheets.

Similarly, while their total of 48 goals scored was the eighth-best in the division, their underlying attacking statistics were mostly unremarkable – more of which we will discuss later in this article.

A grim-looking opening run of fixtures in which the Hammers play five of the “big six” in the first nine Gameweeks will likely deter too much Fantasy investment in Pellegrini’s side, but in Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) the east London club have a player bang in form and in high demand among Fantasy Premier League managers.

Very Tempting, but not 100% sure if TAA is nailed

I am tempted but Robbo is 100% nailed. TAA has Clyde and Gomez.. And he played WC.

Assume Luiz is nailed, would Azpi be worth the million over him?

    Bottomed!

A few essential questions in my opinion....

Why the love for Aguero? Everybody forgot the rotationrisk?

Will Firmino start in GW 1? Is Morata replacement for short term?

What are the rumours about a transfer for Daniels?

    Auba or Laca?

    Cheers fellas!!

Aguero love stems from the fact that he played a lot less than Jesus in world cup and probably will start the season coupled with a lot of players uncertainty, such as Kane etc.
I had my doubts, but Klopp didn´t rule him out so it´s a guess one would make based on the last preseason games they have left.

Can´t help you with that one, but Daniels got serious competition for his place and he were last season, age might come to steel his thunder?

This depends a lot on other players as it does with Firmino above, if Ramsey is out, Laca stands a good chance to start, but if the game against Chelsea were to read something from he could be impact sub. Auba is expensive but could be played as left wing (i would´nt really bother as he has pens in his locker and i genuinely think he could be top scorer even playing as a centerback-).

Not a conclusive answer but hopefully to some help

    How does this look?

    Ederson
    Daniels Trippier Bailly
    Salah Mkhitaryan Mahrez Neves Stephens
    Firmino Aubameyang

    Bench: Fabianski Kamara Cedric Peltier

Trippier needs a rest after WC, Daniels at risk GW3 onwards. Wouldn't want to start Stephens, so might need a restructure.

Is going for a medium strikers attack a viable tactic?

Like going for 2 medium strikers (and a 4.5):
    -King
    -Zaha
    -Arnie
    -(Tosun?)

But without spending money on the premium striker options.
And spent the extra money on a premium midfielder or even a full premium defense?
