This season, we are running a Fantasy Football Scout league on Superbru’s Premier League Predictor game.

It’s free and fun to play, there are cash prizes on offer every week – including £50,000 if you can predict all 10 matches in a round – and it will also help to sharpen your Fantasy Football thinking ahead of the weekend.

Many of your Fantasy decisions are based on your predictions about what will happen in each match. For instance, you may end up captaining Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) because you predicted that Liverpool will thrash Cardiff, or you pick a Chelsea defender because you don’t think Huddersfield will score against them.

By going through the process of making predictions and entering them on Superbru, it will help to provide clarity in your team selection for that round.

Furthermore, you’ll also be adding your wisdom to the crowd. Hutch_James wrote a preview for each Gameweek last season, using the aggregated predictions from the Superbru community. Those predictions performed better than 99% of individuals in the game, proving that the collective knowledge of football fans can be greater than one person’s individual knowledge.

Please get involved and lend your own predictions to the community, and Hutch will return with the series again this year.

Scoring system

The scoring system is simple but smart, and designed to reward accuracy.

Prizes

You could win up to £50,000 depending on the number of exact scores you can predict in each round of 10 matches!

– 10 exact scores: £50,000
– 9 exact scores: £10,000
– 8 exact scores: £1,000
– 7 exact scores: £500
– 6 exact scores: Your choice of Premier League jersey
– 5 exact scores: a Superbru Yellow Cap

It’s totally free to play, so you might as well have a go.

Recruitment incentive

Superbru is great fun when you play with your friends or work colleagues. Over 90% of people say they would recommend Superbru to a friend and if you do just that, it will be worth your while.

Set up your own league and invite 10 new UK-based people to Superbru, and you could be eligible for £50 at the end of the tournament. See the T&Cs and how it works

Superbru app

The app is the best way to play the game – it’s quick and simple, with live scoring and lots of other cool features.

Download the free Superbru app from the App Store or Google Play.

Wisdom of the Crowd articles

Look out for the Gameweek 1 preview on Friday, with the aggregated predictions for the first round of matches as we all look to get a fast start in Fantasy Premier League. The more people that join, the better those predictions should be, so please do get involved.

I don't understand why anyone would pick someone solely based on pen duties. Surely outfield attack potential and returns offer more consistency than the chance of the odd pen here and there?

Out of all the goals Salah scores last year, only one was a penalty.

So by Mané taking pens, it doesn’t make Salah any less powerful.

I have this thing called 'Salahless catastrophe' and now I'm gonna share it with u guys!

    Ederson | 4.0
    David Luiz | Bailly | Cedric | Wan-Bissaka | Peltier
    Sanchez | Eriksen | Mane | Richarlison | Ward
    Aguero | Morata | Austin

    With 0.5m in the bank.

Reasoning behind not getting Salah is that I trust Sanchez and Aguero to be good captain options. If Aguero starts to rotate too much it gets tricky but then I can save this whole circus with a International break WC.

    Thoughts?

He's average. He's always been average, he has good moments and bad. He's been on one of his good runs and will be on a bad one shortly. And he's never scored more than 12 league goals in his career ( and that was in Holland, he's hit 11 twice in the premier league). Swerve him till whu fixtures get better and see how he does

      1. Jönny
        • 16 Years
        7 years, 4 months ago

This is my view of him....

"Quite Big Dunc" asks if I saw him play football last season. I saw bits. Maybe I saw the wrong bits. I don't think he's ever put a consistent season together, and with a tricky start I can see him hitting one of his bad patches.

May well be proved wrong, but I see him as a lot of people's second striker, which seems a lot of faith to put in a streaky player.

He is our main man and everything goes through him.

We have invested heavily this year in attacking wingers and an experienced attacking Manager.

If David Moyes can get 11 goals out of him, how many will Pellegrini?

For 7M I think we will see him being one of he best value for money players in the game this year.

I'm really interested in how West Ham do this year.

Yarmolenko could either be a fantastic signing or a massive flop. See also Felipe Anderson. Wilshere I would love to see do well, but personally think he will underwhelm.

I do think Pellegrini is a bit of a coup, though... if he can get you ticking, it could be an exciting season for you.

Is Foster likely to be Watford's No.1 or could it be Gomes or Dahlberg

      A) Firmino > Auba

      C) Morrison and Mee to Robertson and Bailly

      Rest of team is

      Aguero Arnie

I'd be tempted to go with C. Not sure how Burnley will cope with Europa fixtures and Cardiff are a bit of an unknown, whereas Robertson should give you some solid returns and Bailly (or the 5.5 alternatives) should do well.

I would hope this means that he will play as a wing back, possibly either side as needed and walker will play cb but it is does make me start to worry about him competing with Sane/BSilva/Mahrez for that spot and him being taken off early...just another thing to make me unsure of my pick lol

      4. AndyCook
          7 years, 4 months ago

I would guess he means as a wing back or as a full back when they play 4-4-2. Possibly he could mean as a left centre back on occasion as think Laporte is the only player properly suited to that position

So, I think Spencer's RMT parking lot was a fantastic idea. Already this forum has improved. One suggestion to mods is, to the extent feasible, software allows, etc., is to make the request to post RMTS in the other place a sticky at the top of each page (maybe also tattoo on the skulls of each member), and never ever let it go for the rest of the season. I imagine, prior to Spencer's life saving epiphany, 70% or more of the posts were: "RMT." This does not make for a good discussion forum about fantasy strategy, and I imagine some of the more strategy minded members started to check out -- not a good outcome.

So, posters, use that thread for your personal RMT needs (and help others, too -- karma!).
Mods, please continue to reinforce this request throughout the season, to the best of your modding and site capabilities. Thank you!

          Cheers 🙂

We'd tried this before, in past seasons, but with Gregor's and then Spencer's RMTs we've accompanied it with a push on the regular articles unlike what was done in the past.

We've looked at stickies at the top of each pages and that's an option that's on the table.

There are some other things that need to be done before the season starts but after it does I'm going to look into that because I agree, it would make it even cleaner

Thanks for replying, Geoff. Yeah, I gave Spencer some positive feedback for doing this, and will give you the same. Thank you. It was overwhelming. Spencer also mentioned that you have tried this approach in years past. I hope, to whatever extent it is within your control, you can do it. For example, when someone posts a RMT in the wrong place, their keyboard emits 600 volts. Classical conditioning -- quite effective! Seriously, thanks very much for your efforts. I am happy to be the obnoxious NYer and periodically help out by reminding folks to park those RMTs in the dedicated thread, if you guys are able to maintain it that space.

It really comes down to the user.

If users help out by responding to RMTs over there, it will continue. If people aren't getting responses they'll come back to main articles. So far it's worked, and I don't see any reason that won't continue

If cairney isn't on SP's does it then make sense to have Jorginho fill that 5m space? May not get a lot of attacking returns but he should get more CS points, more bonus and the ability to get the odd assist or even goal. This would also prompt me to do pedro>6.5m

Costa, Kennedy or Hughes are the best 5M options.

If Newcastle has better opening fixtures then kenwdy would be the best by a country mile.

Please use the new RMT thread that has been mentioned a few times (understatement) given the glut of RMTs that have taken over mankind.

I follow a lot of Liga Nos (mainly Benfica) but Patricio has always been a stable keeper, rarely has a big blunder and keeps a decent amount of clean sheets (136 out of 325 games played) so knowing that Sporting had a pretty bad run last year and he still managed 17 SO's in 34 games I think it's fair to assume he may rack up 8-10 in the prem?

Has anyone got a good article they can share regarding Sarri tactics at Napoli and how it can relate Chelsea?

Though about Napoli in 16/17 I think Sarri will bring a a lot of the tactics through into his Chelsea team.

So TAA is back in training and will probably be Klopp's go-to right back, yet I hardly see him in teams on the site. The 1m saved over Roberson has to go a long way in the early stages?

I've been thinking the same. Currently got VVD/Coleman/Tomkins/Wan-Bis/Peltier so I'm toying with the idea of Coleman to TAA and VVD to a 6.5m. Or TAA for Coleman, then upgrade elsewhere in defence.

Yes, however Robertson seems to never run out of energy and likes to be involved in the attack.

Jorginho a decnet shout at 5mil? Fancy him to have decent involvement especially when Kante is back, on the ball loads, seems a better option to likes of Cairney. Any thoughts? Def nailed.

if you look at last season premium defenders ended up with more points than mids up to 9 mil so they are very underrated yet i have changed my team to have a 6 6.5 and 5.5
