In the first part of this week’s set pieces article we have uncovered some interesting match-ups for Gameweek 4.

We’ve managed to uncover the fact that the side to have conceded the most attempts from dead ball situations in the first three Gameweeks will be facing the striker with the most shots from them – the stuff of Fantasy Football dreams.

Fantasy Football Scout members can view the data both in the Members Area and in the article below, where we go into a bit more detail.

Mkhitaryan worth it? If not who is better in that price range to get in?

There are plenty of good in that range : Pedro, Wally, Moura, Maddison etc. But don't know if they will be better yet. I think Miki is a good shout.

Looks a good option, solid fixtures with decent enough stats.

      His competition is;

      Fraser (plus 1.5M)
      Pedro (slightly better stats)
Moura (playing upfront, but how will Son effect his minutes when he returns?)

I’ve got AWB and Doherty as rotating 4th and 5th Def’s that shouldn’t never have to play but probably will. Is it worth going Hennessey and Patricio still as this could lead to doubling up some weeks? Can anyone see any other rotations for GK’s? I see the FUL/WHU HT but that’s risky with the Fulham GK situation.

Mané + Wilson or Hazard + Jiménez?

I already have Fraser and I feel like Jiménez is a good differential. 5.5 for a starting striker in a team that will score lots of goals seems like a crazy good bargain

You did good - transfers just reflect who scored last week!

Eg - no one talking much about Sterling

Walcott - really????........bandwagon going off in wrong directions in my view

        Look forwards - not backwards

Its knowing who the next players are that are going to go on a run before others find them thats the secret here!!!

          • 10 Years

I mean I just watched Lucas' highlights against United and it was enough to convince. The dude was electric, getting in the box, cutting out passes, etc. He passed the eye test and that's usually when you know he's the right pickup. But then there's Walcott. Cheapest he's been in awhile, and flew by Bournemouth players, it's like he never injured his knee.

                Theo.

But I have Eriksen, so Moura wouldn’t be necessary for me.

I considered Moura in the pre season, though, and he was in my team at several stages in the weeks leading up to the start of the season, so I like both players.

Moura is basically a 2nd striker so I don’t think you can go wrong with either pick.

If your comfortable using it on a SGW over a DGW then this is probably one of the best opportunities you will get.

Yeah a DGW is tempting but if I am relying on Aguero then I would expect him to be rested for one of the games and Jesus to play in t’other. And surely same would apply to Salah, especially if Liverpool and Man City have champions league games?

            I'm not sure..

I think that (currently) Utd and Arsenal look equally poor at the back so it comes down to attacking returns... for me, both look equally likely to grab assists (maybe Shaw edging it), but Monreal more likely to score (seems to just pop up)... but not totally convinced (hence the question)

At least you got the Mane rise last night. I say sleep on it and make the decision first thing in the morning. Last night I got Lucas, but felt regret this morning as I think Walcott was the right decision.

Haha. Ya he's not gonna do it. Clicked into the video to see his team, he didn't have the chip active so I doubt he's gonna do it. I can't watch the videos though, they're too long to sit there looking at another guys team and transfer plans and the info we need has already been spoken about since Sunday or Monday night. Think it's more productive to spend the time looking at your own team.

Didn't Lascelles and Ritchie get in a fight this week? Sign that Benitez wants to carry over the back 5 that was used against Chelski. Triple captain no bueno.

        Easily AWB.
Has some attacking potential whereas Holgate has practically zero.
Palace far more solid at the back too and Everton usually find a way to concede.

Not sure about that. Chelsea don't look too clever when asked to defend... Arsenal were chaotic and tore them to pieces at times when going forward, and even a Newcastle team playing backs to the wall for 90 mins managed to score!

I see heavy Chelsea possession advantage. Bournemouth counterattacking. Probably wrong, but that's what's keeping me from playing King over AWB also.

Yeah will depend a lot on Bournemouth approach. I just don't think Bournemouth have got a team capable of sitting back and soaking up pressure so think they'll play on the front foot a bit more instead in order to try to take something from it.

I also wonder if seeing a team like Wolves chance their luck and attack City might inspire a few more teams of that ilk to have a go...

oh, no doubt, teams will have to attack to beat City. That's a lot to absorb if sitting back. Bournemouth mids are weak so they have to go Route 1 football to attack.

I am, but I think I'm giving both one more week. I need to see more than just a penalty from Hazard in terms of goals before I spend almost 11m on him.

      B) Richarlison and King for Walcott and Zaha or Arnaautovic (4 point hit)

Not even close to Fraser. I wouldn't want to be starting anyone at the ~5.0 price point tbh unless someone like Cairney or Kenedy show consistency, which doesn't look likely atm. Yeah, he'll score the odd blooter from outside the box every now and then, but it's not sustainable
