We’ve managed to uncover the fact that the side to have conceded the most attempts from dead ball situations in the first three Gameweeks will be facing the striker with the most shots from them – the stuff of Fantasy Football dreams.

Fantasy Football Scout members can view the data both in the Members Area and in the article below, where we go into a bit more detail.

I'm tempted to Triple Captain Aguero this game week, is it wise to do so?

I don't understand why anyone would triple captain in any week for any player without a double gameweek. Guaranteed there will be great options later and you're significantly improving your odds with two games.

theres certainly benefits - kun scores well against newcastle, you dont have the headache of when to play it in the future

You mean you realized your comment was actually the dumb one and can't justify it now? Shocker.
'Having to make (x) decision later is (insert negative figure of speech)'... this is a game based 100% on our decisions, so if you don't like making decisions, don't play.

You don’t get a chip every week. Deciding when to play them is one of the more difficult decisions to make over the course of the season.

But you know that anyway. You must be Mark Hughes in disguise.

There is merit in captaining someone like Aguero in a single game week against weak opposition and whilst he is in good form.

Of course 2 games should be better than one. However, there is always a risk during a DGW, when the gap between the two is 3-4 days, thatthe TC you pick won’t play both games.

To simply shoot down someone for suggesting what a lot of people I am sure are contemplating is stupid.

People keep saying good form but he's had one good game and two blanks, it's not exactly groundbreaking for him. And whilst Newcastle should be an easy game they are likely to park the bus and defend all game again.

Yes there's some risk that they won't play both, but these top players are used to playing midweek games, and a chance of two games is better than no chance of two games. We are essentially guaranteed that there's a top captaincy pick (Aguero, Kane, Salah, etc.) with at least one plumb fixture. Patience is the name of the game.

"A lot of people" also have defensive midfielders just because they're in top 4 teams, and believe in crap like a flat earth. Just because people consider something doesn't make it a good idea.

    1)Cech
    Wan-B/Bennett rotation
    Salah
    Zaha

    Or
    2) Ederson
    Monreal
    Mane
    Mitrovic/Wilson rotation

??Please help. On WC. Don't know if Salah justifies the extra outlay on Mane if I can improve the team around. Not sure how much I can trust Wan-B and Bennett over the next 2 games though (fixtures do like appealing though, Southampton and Burnely at home)

    2. Eze Really?
      • 11 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

Long winded but I hope it assists in Salah choice

The debate goes on about the premium picks.
This flavor of the week is Hazard.
The way I see it, compounded by the fact premium defenders are doing so well, one can reasonably own 3 and 4 if you are willing to suffer in multiple areas, or have the premium players at the lower end of the spectrum. I can't remember when there were so many players in the 10 mil plus bracket and the Likes of KDB Sanchez Auba and Kaku are not performing.

Let us take the people of interest over the next few Weeks: All hold a good argument on why to have them.
Salah: Points hauls are as last season and an obvious captain choice. 13 mil is steep but value is there.
Kun: Such an explosive player who is a threat to Salah as captain. 11.3 mil seems right and a great captain rotation with Salah.
Hazard: Points per minute is high so far and with fixtures to come is obviously a hot topic. Saving half a mil on Kun or 2.3 on Salah obviously represents value. .7 on Mane is probably a better comparison. Would you be happy to Captain him over Salah or Kun?
Auba: Done nothing yet but fixtures, new manager, position, and bad luck have not helped his cause. At 11 mil he is clearly on people's watchlist. Captain him though, I doubt it ATM.
Mane: The cheapest man in the group. Rewarded us well so far as the price rise indicates. Not really a captain pick at the moment and fixtures hardening, he is the candidate for Hazard.
Kane: Throw another 12.5 in the mix with potential to score big and Captain adds to the dilemma.

So we have six players, who, for different reasons we could want in our teams. All I know for sure is we can't have em all and nobody knows what the future holds.

My 3 players are Salah, kun and Mane (34 mil) and I can have good balance with 3 premium defenders. I would love to have Haz atm but I have to lose value, spend more on a player and swap him for someone who has already rewarded me. It costs me 2 tfr's to get him also.

So who is getting Hazard? People like me who have to make an expensive sideways move, those who go Salahless or Kunless. Or those who will have big suffering in other areas.
I would love to know people's thoughts.

    Mendy, Robbo Alonso
    Bilva Mane Salah Wally (stephens)
    Kun

And out of the following who would you guys play?

    Wan B, Tomkins, Mitro, Ings?

I'm thinking Wan B or Mitro as Ings as a tough matchup away to Palace but Mitro has BHA and at home BHA is tough as well.

Pretty confident I want to go Arny over Zaha. Trying to put more emphasis on form over fixtures, and Arny should definitely get more points from goals and bonus. His fixtures are fairly bad but the next two are great and at least all the 'hard' ones are at home.

Kane is the only player who will make me roll out the wildcard.

      Hazard hat-trick v Bournemouth?

I'm fine with not owning hazard. Doesn't provide consecutive or consistent returns. He is sporadic, 16 pts today, 3 tomorrow.

just realised that my bench fodder quaner is about to take a drop. Is it worth it wasting a free transfer to boot him out or should I just take the drop?

Walcott or Pedro, which is the better pick?

I have Walcott as he is nailed but Pedro looks so much involved in sarri's system. Even with limited minutes Pedro could still do damage.

Would it be silly to go for Tosun over Mitrovic?

So I am playing Ings but since hes flagged if he doesn't play I have Fraser as first off the bench.

should I keep Fraser as 1st sub or put Hughes in place of Fraser?

Firmino will do well at Leicester. Sort of game he thrives in.
