In the first part of this week’s set pieces article we have uncovered some interesting match-ups for Gameweek 4.

We’ve managed to uncover the fact that the side to have conceded the most attempts from dead ball situations in the first three Gameweeks will be facing the striker with the most shots from them – the stuff of Fantasy Football dreams.

Fantasy Football Scout members can view the data both in the Members Area and in the article below, where we go into a bit more detail.

Had Zaha since GW1. On a WC currently and seriously considering Arnie over him. Feel like Arnie has a higher ceiling with being on pens too. But then look at Zaha's fixtures.

    What do people think?

Zaha's fixtures is very good. I think next 5 games he will score more than Arnie.

Don't see much in it. Rmt has less than 1 point difference over next 6 gws. If I had too pick I would go arnie

Wow. Crazy after his decent start and great stats. I guess people think Liverpool are incapable of scoring in slighlty tough fixtures. They may actually score even more against tough opposition than the the easier teams.

Maybe it is not them being crazy, but those planning to keep a 13 m player through bad fixtures when he gets no bonus points, is not on penalties, and has tough european matches between each game

This 13m player scored against every big team last season except United.

No bonus points - this seems a stupid point because it’s not like he never got bonus points last season. He just didn’t in the first 3 games this time.

Not on penalties - He scores one penalty last season, my friend. And missed one. Take those away and he would’ve scored 300 instead of 303 last season.

If you already have Hazard & D.Silva who you would replace him with?

Arsenal don’t know their best starting 11 yet.
Alli/Eriksen have been but not convincing enough.
          Mane has the same fixtures.
          City who’s nailed?
          Pogba?

      Good

I think with the plethora of midfield options this season, almost everyone will manage to squeeze in decent midfield combinations.

You’re both grossly overestimating Moura - Son is back after IB and also Lamela will be competing for pitch time. TAA will be very prone to rotation with CL and also Dilva (Pep is Pep; never know who will be on the match sheet).

    Good morning!
Richarlison in before Robertson derailed my season start. Used FT on getting Wally, but now need to sort out the defense:
    Mendy - Luiz - Tomkins*-AWB-Peltier*

But is it too late to jump on the Robbo wagon, given fixtures and looming rotation? I'm thinking the following alternatives:

    A) Tomkins > Robertson -4 pts
    B) Luiz > Alonso -4 pts.
    C) Peltier -> TAA -4 pts
    D Tomkins -> Trippier -4 pts
    C) stick and do any of those transfers next GW.

I know never take a hit for a defender, but I consider these as long term moves

    Cheers!

Txs, would be the sensible thing if Alonso stays quiet this GW. But he's on fire, and an assist or goal will also lead to bonus, making a hit worthwhile.

              • 11 Years
              7 years, 3 months ago

Which goes to show why one should take a hit every now and then to set up your best team. Postponing until next week always carries the risk of other issues to be addressed, meanwhile your prime targets keep on racking up the points and increasing in price

All it shows is that those who took a hit to get in Alonso happened to get lucky. Alonso's stats at the end of the season will show that statistically it was not worth a - 4 to get him in.

    2. We Go Again
      • 11 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

Don't get Robbo now, fixtures are turning. Get Alonso instead. Oh and Alonso/Mendy/Robertson are basically glorified left wingers at this stage lol, still worth the hit imo.

      1. Pompel
        • 11 Years
        7 years, 3 months ago

The difficult choice is that Luiz should play, whereas Peltier and Tokins will not start this GW. So option B does not give an extra sure starter, which is also a consideration rotation and injury doubts in rest of team.

    3. Eze Really?
      • 11 Years

I am thinking of moving Robbo to Trippier as the rotation issue is taken away if WB on the bench. After Pool game though.

Hazard and Dilva by some distance, don't let the Salah scare-mongering affect your decision.

I think Hazard has been extremely unlucky to have played under defensive managers previously.

Having watched Napoli a lot over the last 2 seasons and the way Chelsea have started off under him, they look like they're gonna score 2 or 3 every game. Hazard in particular has caught my eye, if he builds up or even sustains his performances so far, he's gonna end up with 20G, 7-8A end of the season which makes him a great captaincy pick.

On Townsend atm, but I hear SOU concede lots of chances from set pieces so Mili could do well if Benteke starts to remember where the goal is. Mili still on pens, I'm sure.

Fraser, Maddison - it'll be between the two. Tough fixtures in GW4 for both - but improve quickly from GW5 onwards

I like Fraser, but already own King so don't want to go with 2 BOU players vs CHE. Agreed on the coming fixtures. Fraser/Wilson will be the picks from BOU team it seems.

Cheers and good luck in GW4.

I'd be hesitant over the BOU double-up for this GW also. Perhaps benching one would be appropriate if you have adequate coverage?

I was going to go for Mitrovic over Tosun for 0.4m less but something’s telling me that Tosun will get his first goal or 2 this week and Mitrovic will blank.

All this talk about liverpool fixtures getting harder n more difficult to get CS. Do they perform that bad against the big boys last season? I mean is it that poor to hold onto liv defenders? I understand if allison has less CS potential, but can we expect more from the likes of robbo n taa?

    1. La Roja
      • 13 Years

It isn’t just about less cs potential with those fixtures. Rotation seems to be worry for full backs especially

KLOpp rotate fullbacks last season during early UCL games? Why can't he play the fringe players during midweek instead? Duh

        1. La Roja
          • 13 Years
          7 years, 3 months ago

Fringe players vs Napoli? I don’t think so. If I was Klopp, I’d play Clyne, Moreno etc vs toothless Saints and rest Robbo and TAA. But you never know.

Have a look at the CL group they had last year and this year.

          1. NABIL - FPL otai
            • 13 Years

If I were Klopp i'd stick with the first XI and do substitutions if needed. Harder group indeed but no need to win all group games to go through.

So if fullbacks are the issue, vvf is safe then?

What I’m saying is; if you’re playing 3 at the back with Robbo and you have AWB on bench then it’s fine imo.

4 at the back with WB would be a bit risky

Bennett place in danger when Don is back

Burnley playing crap, Dyche could make changes which could include Westwood bench

Kamara is an impact sub player it seems.

I think you at least someone like Cedric 4.4 on your bench
