FFS Cup

The latest FFScout fixtures and results

The Fantasy Football Scout Cup competitions are preparing to go into full swing ahead of a busy week of matches.

We’re here to bring you the latest from the public FFScout Cup and the FFScout Members Cup too.

At this point we’d like to issue a formal warning that, due to the disastrous nature of Gameweek 13, this article may not necessarily make for comfortable reading…

Public FFScout Cup

The trials and tribulations of Gameweek 13 wreaked havoc on Fantasy Football Scout staff and a handful of former winners in the opening round of the FFScout Cup.

No fewer than four ex-champions were dumped out of the competition at the first hurdle.

Scoutcast and Breakfast Club contributor J0e will perhaps feel the most upset as he missed out on the second round by just one point, defeated 32-31 by stripeless.

Wild Rover lost 50-33 to Christobisto, Leon Harris was seen off 49-47 by cobblers304 and 2EyedTurk suffered a 50-40 defeat at the hands of Harvard.

Meanwhile, editor DavidMunday815 and community manager Geoff also saw their terrible Gameweeks write off any chance of a cup-run. The former losing 53-35 to Tottispicks, the latter to Roger C by a 51-37 scoreline.

But it wasn’t all doom and gloom as our glorious leader Mark‘s 60 points was enough to see him fight another day in the cup.

Maverick Scoutcaster D1sable also triumphed over srini venkat with a score of 37-35.

Alongside him were five other former champions who sealed their passage to the second round.

A Manager Has No Name beat Alan the Llama 50-45, Ninja_Fit_Saints emerged victorious from a 45-37 match-up with Dugarry 21 and MCH slugged it out with Madeinireland to win 45-43.

donnellyc and Gribude complete the list of ex-champions in the next round as they saw off River Template (69-45) and MARTINB (43-37) respectively.

It was also good news for the two members of the world’s top 100 managers as both Sir Oux, ranked 15th, and High as a Keita won their cup ties.

The full list of results from the first round can be FOUND HERE.

The draw for the second round has now been made so CLICK HERE to find out who your next opponent is.

FFScout Members Cup

The long-awaited first round draw of the 2018/19 FFS Members Cup took place this week and we can reveal some of the stand-out fixtures that have been arranged.

Over 1,728 managers applied for the 512 places available in the first round draw, with the Gameweek 13 qualifying score is set at 45 (after hits) and an overall rank of 6,101 or better needed for those hitting that total exactly.

Goo was the lucky manager who scraped through the qualifying round in 512th place.

Such was the fallout from Gameweek 13 that just three former winners made it through the preliminary round.

Fuzzy Dunlop, currently ranked 51,354, faces a tough test against Blakouk who sits in 17,929 worldwide.

Malaikat Jihad, with an overall rank of 1,627,496, faces 40,942 ranked DavidG whjile rrcmc (33,959) must do bttle wirth shiregeriatrics (28,749).

Three managers in the world’s top 100 preparing for the first round include Sir Oux and High as a Keita, as well as 21st-place Ulrich Steinschweiger. They will face off against Iaoshi (28,400), Dele Alli Oxenfree! (433,860) and dkonis (22,480).

and Fulham have never looked good really so it could be a pain in the arse. I'm caught in 2 minds about it as well...already own sterling but want sane. Also own Barkley and contemplating swapping him for Pedro as Hazard cover...

I think Hazard is a great option and captaining him against Fulham. His only unexpected blank was against Everton. Fulham conceded two to Southampton so don't see that improvement in them.

Normally this would be a no brainer, however since I already own Hennessey I don't know if it's better to double up on one defense or have one from each. In my eyes they both have a good chance to keep a CS, with CP edging it slightly. But is it enough for a double up?

If you were me (with Hennessey in goal), would you:
    A) Wan-Bissaka (BURNLEY)
    B) Dunk (huddersfield)
    ?

    Answer's appreciated, cheers

Sitting 2nd in my £ ML only a few points behind my main rival.
Problem is our teams have been so damn similar of late that we almost mirror each others scores.

Tempted by Salah + Pereya(or Seri) > Mane + Martial

Already have the likes of Kun, Haz, Arnie etc.

Seri option leaves me a cool 1 Mil for next GW
    Pereya leaves me 2 Mil

    Thoughts?

    A ) Nope..
    B) Go for it - lose Pereya
    C) Go for it - Lose Seri

I never said I didn't have city defence. I have Laporte.

I could do to Mane + Sane or Silva tbh

Always feel Sane is a bigger risk of rotation than the rest of the city squad (other than Jesus).

    Hennessey - Stekelenburg

    Alonso - Robertson - Laporte - AWB - Bennett

    Hazard - Salah - Sigurdsson - Hughes - Westwood

    Kun - Arnautovic - Wilson

    2 FT 0.3 ITB

    Thoughts on:
    Sigurdsson + Wilson —> Sané + 5.0 forward

Planning to WC in gw 15 or 16

With Mendy being out Pep likes Sane to play for the width he gives them in attack. He also got taken off at 70 against Lyon which is a promising sign for those backing him to keep his place against Bournemouth.

Hi, hopefully one of the Mods can help me here. I was entry number 645 (Supermane Returns) on the Members Cup, ive just checked and so i was in the list of entries. I scored 46 (after hits) on Qualifying Round Gameweek 13, and according to the article, it said 45 was the cutoff for Goo in the final qualifying 512th place. Why wasnt I in the Round 1 draw if i scored 1 more than Goo? i just checked and i cannot see myself on there 🙁 ..

Could I have some help please .
I know it’s a bit late , but I just checked my cup game in ffs members cup 1st round , which , having checked the scores , it appears I lost . The problem I have is , having looked at the scores of me & my opponent, our scores seem to be from week 13 , not 14 which I thought it should be.
    Any help much appreciated
    Thanks
