Premier League sides learn FA Cup third round fate

There are just two all-Premier League ties to be played in the third round of the FA Cup this season.

Bournemouth and Brighton will go head-to-head at the Vitality Stadium while Wolves are set to host Liverpool.

While the third round of the FA Cup is still some way off, it is obviously worth taking note of the fixtures that will take place.

Those all-Premier League ties may feature slightly stronger XIs compared those involving top flight sides facing lower league opposition.

The toughest tests for those FPL teams includes Chelsea’s hosting of Nottingham Forest, who have knocked out the holders of the FA Cup five times in their last six matches against a reigning champion.

Southampton will travel to Derby County where they will take on Frank Lampard’s in-form side.

Outside of that there appear to be mostly routine matches for the remainder of the Premier League clubs, whose FPL fixtures should be largely unaffected in terms of rotation.

The matches will take place between Gameweek 21 and 22.

    Desperate repost
OK, could really need with some help ! Current team:

    Ryan (Hamer)
Robbo - Alonso - Laporte (WB - Bennet)
    Haz - Salah - Fraser - Richa - Sterling
    Arnie - Wilson (Success)

    WC Team (GW16 or tonight?):

    Fab (Hamer)
TTA - Laporte - Luiz (WB - Bennet)
    Sterling - Sane - Fraser - F Anderson (Gunnarson)
    Wilson - Auba - Kane

I was planning to WC in gw 16 but with price rises/falls/injuries I'm tempted to push the button tonight. Yay or nay ?

    Ta !

Be nervous about losing alonso and Robertson as they are good long term

I would hold off on the WC, seems like a bad idea doing it over a GW with only a 2 day gap when you have no idea who could be rotated this week.

Is my best way to free up 0.9m for Aguero to Kane, Robertson to Taa?

yeah if you have two FT, Robbo to TAA looks good. Robbo attacking threat seems to have declined plus he is doubtful anyway

    Hazard, Sane, Sterling, F.Anderson
    Aubemeyang, Arnautovic, Wilson

All good captaincy options, but who to go for?

On a Sane right now as I think he’ll play and Man City always score. F.Anderson as VC as he’s on form and best fixture

    G2G?

Tempted to double up on Hammers next week given their incredible fixtures. Good punt or are they too inconsistent to warrant doubling? Team will be.

    Ryan
    TAA Digne Doherty Balbuena AWB
    Sterling Sané Anderson Richarlison Hoj
    Kane Auba Arnie.

Arnie and Anderson are both good options with a great run of fixtures, so it shouldn't be much of a risk.

This Kane vs Auba is doing my head in. I can get Auba with one trade, but I need two for Kane (both free). Torn!

If you have two free transfers you should be able to do Kane (c) this week and then bring in Auba for free the following week.

    Sound this good?

This week: Hazard and Agüero -> F. Anderson and Kane for free
Next week: Salah and Arnautovic -> Sterling and Aubameyang for -4?

    Thank you!

    Would you do it?

Hazard, Kun, Martial -> Auba, Son, Sane (-4)

I know the most sensible thing is to just do kun to auba.. All help is appreciated! Thanks

Is anybody considering Laca instead of Auba? I imagine he comes back into the team at United. Much easier to get Kane and Lacazette….

sweet. Any thoughts on how Arsenal might line up going forward? What is putting me off Auba is a lack of uncertainty over their formation and starting XI

    WC played and going maverick.

    Fab, Button.
    TAA, Robbo, Keane, AWB, Fernandez.
    Sane, Sterling, Gundogon, Fraser, Son
    Lacca, Auba, Arnie....

Figured 2 from the best defence, 2 from the best mid, 2 from the best attack. Bench good enough for rotation problems....

Martial to Siggy for a hit? will it pay off long term

This would be first hit of the season but very likely to get Siggy soon anyway

Already did Vardy/Aguero to Kane/Wilson using 2 FT

Depends on the other players really. Does the 3rd forward play? Might need the. With the amount of rotation

    Fabianski 4.0
    TAA Digne Doherty Awb _______
    Sterling Sane Anderson Gunarsson ________
    Kane Aubameyang Wilson

    A) VVD + Fraser
    B) Diop + Siggy

The way I see it il be playing Digne, Doherty and TAA most weeks with Awb and Diop being backup to cover rotation and tough fixtures. Going VVD makes my back line a lot safer though. Which option do I go for on WC?

    Ryan, Foster
    Alonso, Robertson, Doherty, (AWB, Stankovic)
    Salah, Hazard, Maddison, Richarlison (Hojbjerg)
    Aguero, Annie, Wilson

    0m ITB, 2 FT's

What's my best way of getting in Kane ?

    A) Salah and Aguero to Sterling and Kane
    B) Alonso and Aguero to Luiz and Kane
    C) Hazard and Wilson to Kane and Gunnarsson.
    D) Maddison and Aguero to Kane and Gunnarsson
    E) Other

C and D would leave money ITB for somebody who rotates well with AWB

So .... Decided the time was right to take a hit and get Arnie in ... Driven largely by the midweek games and fear of rotation and not having a full squad in, I pulled the trigger on a minus 4. Trippier (no guarantees to be fit) and Ings (injured) out and Arnie (for the long haul) and enabler AWB in ... Bahhhhh ... Arne possible multiple games out and Trippier now promising to hurt me tomorrow. Jeez. Why couldn't I have sat tight for one more week.
