It’s all change for Fantasy Premier League managers as Gameweek 15 looms large.

This is when the fixtures begin to swing in the direction of Tottenham and Arsenal and that has already had an effect on the captain debate.

We’ve taken a look at both the popular options and those most likely to do well in the midweek action in this latest article.

Captain Poll

Harry Kane (£12.4m) looks poised to go into Gameweek 15 as the runaway Fantasy Football Scout captain poll winner. At the time of writing the Tottenham man had a 42% share of the vote ahead of Southampton’s visit to Wembley on Wednesday night. The last time he was the most popular candidate was when they hosted Cardiff in Gameweek 8 – his owners will be hoping for a better showing than his blank against the Bluebirds.

A long way off in second place is Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) who has a 15% share of the vote. Liverpool travel to Burnley this weekend and are expected to waltz to victory considering the form their hosts are in. The Clarets have allowed more shots than any other side this season which should afford Salah plenty of chances to finally get his second double-figure haul of the campaign.

Raheem Sterling (£11.5m) looks set to finish the poll in third place, as the most popular of the Manchester City options. He is the top-scoring player in all of FPL right now so there’s so surprise that he’s ahead of his colleagues in this vote. Some might have expected him to have garnered more than 9% support, but it appears the voters are aware of his rotation risk. An away match against Watford looks like one in which Sterling can certainly deliver but the fact that he played the full 90 minutes against Bournemouth does reduce his risk of starting this one – and that is reflected in his percentage share here.

Interestingly, Marko Arnautovic (£7.1m) is up next as he faces Cardiff City on Tuesday night. His 5.67% share of the vote is higher than Sergio Aguero (£11.5m) who trails behind the main group with 4.5%. There is considerable doubt over whether he will even start against Watford with his recent muscular injury, but he has also been so poor away from home too.

Despite emerging as a potential alternative to Kane in the minds of some Fantasy managers, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.9m) is lagging well behind in the captain poll. Just 3.49% of voters are considering handing him the armband this weekend even though he faces a leaky Manchester United defence at Old Trafford. Callum Wilson (£6.8m), who faces Huddersfield, is ahead of him on 3.81%.

Eden Hazard (£11.0m) and Sadio Mané (£9.9m) are even further behind with just 1.95% and 1.74% backing respectively.

Auba's second price rise put me 0.1 under getting him in for Jimenez (would rather not lose Arnie)...which would you do (for GW 16):

    A) Jimenez, Salah and Robertson > Auba, Sterling and TAA (-8)
    B) Arnie and Salah > Auba and Sterling (-4)

Tough 1, keep a close eye on Arnie midweek as the close succession of games could finish off his dodgy knee, if he’s fit I’d go a as with those games he will easily outscore Jiminez but make sure u have a playing defender to cover TAA as he will prob miss a couple of games over xmas

      Patricio. Begovic.
Robertson. Alonso. Duffy. Wan Bissaka. Bednarek.
      Salah. Hazard. Richarlison. Pereyra. Fraser.
      Aguero. Giroud.

0.1 in the bank. 1 FT.

Richarlison > Anderson and Pereira > 6.1 mid for -4. What do you think...?

      1. QuintonFortune25

Pereyra and Aguero to Kane and someone else imo.

    5. QuintonFortune25
      • 9 Years
      7 years, 4 days ago

      A) Wilson and Gunarnsson (4.4 mid)

      B) Arnie and non-playing 4.2 mid (Hudson-Odoi)

I'm thinking B as I prefer Arnie and realistically I'm very unlikely to have to use my third bench player. I will have two of Doherty, AWB, Schindler and Brooks on my bench over Christmas. Plus, in the unlikely event of my third bench player being auto-subbed on, Gunarsson is only going to deliver 2 points anyway so it's hardly even worth it. What are your thoughts? Chesrs

      Hello there one and all.

Does it matter which 4.0 second goalkeeper is chosen?

Seems Hamer and Button seem the most popular choice. Any reason why?

      Anything I’m not aware of?

      Many thanks for your help

      1. Shatner's Bassoon
        • 7 Years
        7 years, 4 days ago

Reasons for that will be people having Hamer since the start when he was first choice for Hudds / hoping that he can dislodge Lossl in future.

Button was on Brighton's bench for a while, and Ryan will miss a few games in January for Asia cup - so thinking there (including my own) was likely that he could be an option then if he was promoted to first choice while Ryan is away. But, looks like Steele has leapfrogged him now unfortunately.

      2. danishdynamite
        • 14 Years
        7 years, 4 days ago

Ryan goes to asian cup in Jan, hence interest in Brighton's reserve keeper

Problem is, Button has had knack and steele has been on the bench of late = who's the 'real' #2?

      3. Reckoner.
        • 14 Years
        7 years, 4 days ago

Still feel Hamer has more chance to dislodge Lossl.

Huddersfield are more likely to be down the bottom this season imo. When times get tough and they are conceding goals Lossl could end up being dropped as they try to find solutions.

Ryan also the real standout keeper for Brighton whereas Lossl & Hamer are similar standard imo.

seems to me.. current doubts in the lime light are:

Sterling 19% (come on..do we really think he'll start?...)
Aguero 42% (expect he'll be saved for Chelsea surely...perfect game for Jesus instead)
Robertson 33% (could do with a break and perfect game to do it + the dead leg)
Auba 22% (ok ok..only a slight doubt but Lacazette only played 45 mins so more LIKELY to start)

      % is ownership related.

      Hi All, (first post)

      Having trouble trying to pick a new replacement for Iwobi, the options are;

      1) Lucas Moura
      2) Bernardo Silva
      3) Pedro

      Any thoughts?

All rotation issues, but definitely not Lucas Moura.

Bernardo Silva is best pick, but make sure you have a decent bench

2,3,1 I think. Bernardo is still a regular points tick. It depends how many other City assets you have/want but if Aguero's stock is falling then it might be the right time.

        Welcome, by the way!

        So similar to mine.

Robbo a doubt, Sterling rumoured to be rested. Your bench better perform.

            Manchester Evening News.

I sold Mahrez after 3 non starts already too... should’ve kept him and sold Mané.

                It’s on their predicted XI.

They’re about as itk you get without actually being itk.

It’s quite probably wrong though, so don’t read as the truth.

Sterling is on the train there - surely that is all they can monitor. Saying there is a rumour is misleading.

They're predicted XI is based on who is on the train + who has played recently and making guesses.

Please, need a second opinion. Which is better:
      Martial+Richarlison OR F.Anderson+Sigurdsson?
First may look better on paper, but I'm leaning toward second option.

      Patricio. Begovic.
Robertson. Alonso. Duffy. Wan Bissaka. Bednarek.
      Salah. Hazard. Richarlison. Pereyra. Fraser.
      Aguero. Giroud.

Will this team gonna survive this week...? After this week I will get 2 free transfers then I could get Kane.
