FFS Cup

The latest FFS Cup fixtures and results

The latest rounds of our Fantasy Football Scout Cups were played in Gameweek 14 and they will make a return in Gameweek 16.

Due to the quick turnaround between matches, we removed Gameweek 15 from the schedule.

Read on to see how your team got on and find out if you’ve progressed to the next round…

Public FFS Cup

Three more former winners were eliminated from the public FFS Cup in the second round of matches, played in Gameweek 14.

A Manager Has No Name lost out 56-54 Alextcooper, MCH was soundly defeated 52-38 by Get It Inter Ya and Gribude‘s score of 50 paled in comparison to the 68 recorded by opponent LeisureLauri.

Three ex-champions remain in the mix including our very own Mark, who saw off Lord‘s Gameweek score of 60 with a 70 of his own.

donnellyc was a 58-50 victor over Fantasytom while Ninja_Fit_Saints squeezed past Cowboy John 45-44.

It was a mixed round of matches for those currently in the upper echelons of the FPL worldwide rankings.

Ninth-placed Sir Oux‘s 76-68 defeat to wickedtongue means that Miles105 is now the highest ranked remaining contestant. He is now holding down 15th place worldwide and booked his place in the third round with a 66-44 win over Xander the 7th.

87th High as a Keita continues his run with a 60-48 win over theonefjef, Bombers Wonders, ranked 126th, beat mplavchak 59-47 but there was a narrow defeat for 119th placed Karan14 – (RoboKlopp). He was seen off 62-61 by THFC4LIFE.

FFS Members Cup

There are now just two former winners left in the FFS Members Cup after Malaikat Jihad was defeated 65-62 by DavidG.

Fuzzy Dunlop and rrcmc remain in the competition after 48-47 and 55-52 wins over Blakouk and shiregeriatrics respectively.

Things went a little better for our in-form managers in this Cup.

Sir Oux‘s score of 68 may not have been good enough to keep him going in the public Cup, but it was a scoreline that beat Ioashi and booked his place in the second round of the Members Cup.

171st placed Jedi Reed beat Rohirrims 62-58, Ulrik Steinschweiger, ranked 16th, saw off dkonis 65-47 and High as a Keita kept himself going in both comeptitions with a 60-58 win over Dele Alli Oxenfree!

Miles105 ensured his place in both tournaments for the time being with a 66-62 win against Dixie_1979, Karan14 – (RoboKlopp) beat Schiffy11 61-57 and RDR2, ranked 125th saw off edhilliam 68-57.

Just below him, 126th placed Bombers Wonders kept his run going with a 59-42 win over Mcapizza.

Elsewhere, Matzi11a edged past Final Cod 53-52 with Niemi beating zvi_green by the same scoreline.

A or C for me. I doubt Alonso will keep a clean sheet and he's looked a tad sluggish recently. No idea of his actual stats mind.

**** Repost as nobody answered Will return favours as much as needed *****

My Friday dilemma, seeking help from the community

    1) Arnie & Mane to Fraser and Auba (-4)
    2) Arnie & Mane to Anderson and Laca (-4)
    3) Arnie & Mane & Luiz to Laca, Son, Kola/Digne

I’m currently inclined to the -8 (think Son could be gold) but have doubts, have been climbing really nicely in the ranks the last few weeks.

    Current team

    Fab/button
    Robertson, Doch, awb, luiz, Laporte
    Mane sane sterling McTom, Rich
    Arnie, Kane, Jimenez

    1. BenDavies
      • 11 Years

Strong 2. 1 could go absolutely awfully; Fraser is against Liverpool and Auba may not even start.

3 is too risky especially with Son who may not start.

Been looking at Son myself but gonna wait on Poch - he's started 3 out of 4 so perhaps due a rest.

This GW is one of the toughest to call on who starts etc so I can't advise any hits really. If you're dead-set on doing one though I'd just about lean towards 2.

Can't say that I'm not worried about not having him. However I think Sterling and Sane provides enough cover through minutes and output through the Christmas/New Year period.

I had thought about Richarlison to Snodgrass as a bit of a punt, giving me money to upgrade defence.
Otherwise I don't see too many options in that lower price bracket in the mids that appeal too much...

Son and Bennett or Rich and Taa?

I've taken a hit to get to this as plummeting down the ranks.

    Pat
    Alonso Laporte Doherty
    Sterling Hazard Sane Rich
    Auba Wilson Mitro
    Hamer Lovren Holjberg AWB

    Play laporte or Lovren?
Looking to get Kane is somehow for next week too.

Don't suppose anyone knows if Janmaat was available last week? Need a 4.2 defender and Kiko would be perfect with their fixtures. Just don't know if he's nailed.
