Kane and Eriksen benched for Spurs trip to Leicester

Harry Kane (£12.5m) owners are in despair after he was named on the bench for tonight’s game against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Mauricio Pochettio has shuffled his pack ahead of Tottenham’s crunch tie against Barcelona on Tuesday night. Midfield maestro Christian Eriksen (£9.3m) is another who finds himself on the bench.

Son Heung-min (£8.4m) looks set to lead the line in Kane’s absence. The South Korean has been in fine form in recent weeks with two goals and an assist in his last three appearances. It will be no surprise to see him register more attacking returns tonight.

Ben Davies (£5.6m) starts ahead of Danny Rose (£5.8m) while Dele Alli (£8.9m) comes back in to the starting XI having come off the bench against Southampton in Gameweek 15. Jan Vertonghen (£5.9m) also returns having served his suspension.

Harry Maguire (£5.4m) is named amongst the substitutes for Leicester City. Kelechi Iheanacho (£5.9m) leads the line again in the absence of the injured Jamie Vardy (£8.9m).

James Maddison (£6.8m) owners will be hoping he can find the back of the net for the third consecutive Gameweek. He’s likely to be on spot kick duty if the Foxes are to be awarded one.

Leicester City XI: Schmeichel, Pereira, Morgan, Evans, Chilwell, Mendy, Ndidi, Iborra, Maddison, Gray, Iheanacho.

    Competition time!

    Who has had the worst period in fpl?
    Since wc I’ve gotten rid of pereira, richarlison, Jimenez, hazard, Alonso, Salah, Doherty only to get some of them back. I’ve taken gazillions of hits to reshape my team and I’d probably be 50+ points up if I didn’t make any transfers. Anyone else?

      Haha, that's rough. I've been through a few slumps allready, and in the midweek I felt horrible about losing Maddison, Fraser and Wilson on a WC a couple of GWs back. Still, I've yet to bring back a player I previously sold - the only exception being bringing Salah in on my WC.

    How was Sane today?

    Read he had a decent first half, and the sub was more tactical - to get a striker on, and he was sacrificed as had played the most minutes recently?

    Need a DSilva replacement most likely, and have 1.1ITB. Not so inclined to drop Haz for Sterling now...

      If you're trying to convince yourself Sane is near equal to Sterling then I'd say no way. Sterling is the City mid to go for. Way more involved than Sane who was ok but Sterling's your man.

            I have 29 (-8), took a hit to get rid of Salah in order to aqcuire Aubameyang. Oh, and i have 15pt Luiz benched, as you would against City. Beat that.

              Sounds bad.

              If Salah had started midweek, I would have hitted him out too, maybe to get Son/Sane/Eriksen + Aubameyang. Sort of lucky to not be in that position.

              But I sold Alonso and brought in Lacazette, so...

      We enter a very weird “eye of the hurricane” stage in FPL where we have only 1 GW in the next 13 days, but after that we’ve then got the ridiculous 4 GW’s in 11 days.

      If you thought he last 3 GW’s were bad those 4 will be simply brutal.

      Time to strap down those knees and make NO transfers until 21st December and pray for no more injuries
