Crucial Champions League action has huge FPL implications

Tonight’s Champions League matches could have a huge impact on the Fantasy Premier League 2018/19 landscape.

Both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, whose assets have been popular this season, are in action in the European competition.

Qualification to the knockout stages is on the line, with neither club assured of their fate.

Liverpool must beat Napoli to stand any chance of progressing, and may also have to rely on results elsewhere.

If Red Star Belgrade beat PSG then a victory of any sort will suffice, but if the French side are victorious then Liverpool must either win 1-0 or by two clear goals.

A one-goal margin of victory will not be enough if Napoli score.

Meanwhile, Spurs need to match Inter Milan’s result against PSV to secure passage to the next round.

That is not something to be assured of given that Mauricio Pochettino’s men are facing Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

At this stage, either one of Liverpool or Tottenham could end up in the Europa League or be eliminated from continental competitions altogether.

Either scenario would have a big impact on Fantasy. Europa League fixtures would mean a greater concentration of Sunday matches, especially pertinent for those playing the Sky Sports game.

Furthermore, either one of those clubs being knocked out altogether would potentially heighten the appeal of their Fantasy options with fewer fixtures to fulfil in 2019.

      High risk hig reward

If he plays 70+ he is a great captain shout.

But he has started many games in close succession, hence might be benched. Lucas scored yesterday and Lamela is back.

Alonso has been very unlucky with attacking returns recently - whereas Luiz has been lucky. Alonso is a much better FPL pick

Richarlison is nailed on and seems to be Evertons only real goal scorer.
Son is a good option, but less nailed and Spurs share the goals around a lot. Also id rather have Kane.

Morning dzz, thoughts on the following WC options.

    A (3-5-2):
    Fabianski • Steele
    ALONSO • Doherty • SCHINDLER • KOLA • wan-b
    Sterling • Hazard • Anderson • BILVA • RICH
    Kane • Mitro • Kamara

    B (3-5-2):
    Fabianski • Steele
    ALONSO • Doherty • CHAMBERS • KIKO • wan-b
    Sterling • Hazard • Anderson • RICH • SON
    Kane • Mitro • Kamara

    C (3-4-3):
    Fabianski • Steele
    ALONSO • Doherty • SCHINDLER • KOLA • wan-b
    Sterling • Hazard • Anderson • SON • HOJBERG
    Kane • Mitro • JIMENEZ

Leaning towards A as the most balanced option but really want son (will he play on weekend is the only thing slightly putting me off). RMT suggests options C but jimenez have 3 out of 5 tough fixtures from gw18 and thereafter great fixtures but benching him for 3/5 fixtures doenst make sense

      Id say A.

Defenders are important and those in B dont fill me with confidence whatsoever. If you really need Son you can go C but you will have to sacrifice richarlison which maybe isnt clever

A but not sure with Bilva. You don't have any player from the top of the table, it's too risky for me.

Thoughts on Mane + TAA to Sane + Robertson for a -4 hit?

    Current team is:
    Ederson Hamer
    Alonso TAA Digne AwB Doherty
    Hazard Mane Alli Rich Stephens
    Auba Jimenez Wilson

A definite hobby of mine to watch scoutcast, but IMO Joe went round in square circles regarding price rises.
He went Mtro to Arnie early to get the price rise. Arnie got injured and he maintains it a bad move to do the early transfer. Fair enough.
The next week, once bitten, he held off on a Arnie to Wilson transfer and he discovered Wilson got injured. However, if my mind serves me right, nobody knew of the Wilson injury until after the deadline. On top of that, having time to think, he went back to Mitro (after 1 week) and Mitro had a 45 minute cameo.
What this proves to me is absolutely nothing.
Personally, I go for early transfers and it probably costs me 2 hits a year. I end up with 107 mil team at Xmas and my rivals have around 103. The 2 mil net gain I assure people pays off over the 16 or so gameweeks I have left. Especially on a WC where the extra money comes in handy.
I do play the game for ML purposes and not the overall. Winning the 1 000 quid is far more rewarding.
Finally, all the newer players tend to look closely at the rises and the level of accuracy is rewarding compared to the information, or more the point, lack of it when the pressers come out.

    So just did
    "The season keeper"
    Fraser to Snodgrass
    And happy enough
It going to enable Stephens to Fanderson next week.
These guys could be the new Wilson and Fraser.

So Chica I can't trust - injury waiting to happen etc.
But double mid hammers. They got the fixtures and from Scoutcast ( not since the 1980's have they won 3 games in a row scoring 3)

Never really get the "season keeper" argument.

Not like you could never get Fraser back if you wanted him down the road.

Just do whatever's best for your side at the time. Looks like a decent move.

Spurs have some juicy fixtures coming up, which Spurs defender should I opt for? Do I play it safe with either Alderwield or Vertonghan or chance it with a fullback?

    Hello all, two quick questions:

    1. Is TAA out injured?
    2. Would you bench any of my first 11 for Kamara(WHU), Schindler(NEW) or AWB(LEI)?

    Fabianski
    TAA • Kolasinac • Doherty
    Sterling • Sané • Richarli • FAnderson • Fraser
    Harry(C) • Aubameyang
    (Button / Kamara / Schindler / AWB)

Should I give in to fear, or take a risk?

    Current team is

    Fabianski

    Alonso Robertson Doherty Kolasinac

    Salah Sterling Anderson

    Wilson Auba Jimenez

Hamer AWB Richarlison Obaing 0.9 itb

Fear moves - Son and Kane in for Salah and Wilson and captain Kane

Moves I want to do but might backfire massively - Sane and Kamara/Success in for Wilson and Richarlison and play 4-4-2 with Sane, Sterling, Anderson and Salah in midfield.

    Thanks in advance
