The best West Ham FPL options for their favourable fixtures

West Ham United’s nine goals in their last three matches have set them up as the latest Fantasy Premier League flavour of the month.

However, the recent injury to Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) has changed the thought process for capitalising on the Hammers’ form and fixtures.

Felipe Anderson (£7.3m) seems to have been the go-to replacement but his midfield position means that he is not a direct alternative to Arnautovic.

So we’ve analysed the options at West Ham to see which offers the best potential in the coming weeks and which are the most affordable.

You can have the nicest manager in the world and still not bounce back from something like that.it was a nightmare performance on a huge stage. Everything he did went wrong.

The support you have around has everything to do with it.
Also it wasn’t a nightmare performance in fact he put in a great shift, albeit he made a costly mistake but they have gone throu and he can be happy he held his own in the most fortified stadium in the world

      he will be completely fine

recovered well after his mistake putting in crucial challenges, and had his confidence back

supporters, players, staff all have his back after we got the result we needed

Even if Spurs went out, he would've had a career if he is good enough. Making mistakes at a young age is part and parcel of the development process.

I think we underestimate the fragility of young players..they're on social media, they read the abuse ..imagine if they had gone out . A great support network at spurs helps a lot but this was a massive game on a massive stage . In us sports there are so many examples of players never getting over mistakes on big occasions. I'm just glad they progressed for his sake.

In an easy game, if your player is on bench, would you prefer:

    A) Him to come 30-45mins from bench
    B) No appearance and let auto-sub do the job

that just seems crazy. Everyone gets subbed once in a while especially when you play every 3/4 days and have no direct replacement in that position.

Son could easily be benched at the weekend too..

    Fab, Hamer

I've always been a mediocre FPL player, and going wrong in chosing capaincy has always been a big issue.

This season I've had returns on my (C) in every single GW. And even better: Out of 418 potential captain points if I'd always captained my most scoring player, I've scored 322. That must be pretty good numbers?

    My history of captains have returned these scores: 16, 40, 16, 12, 14, 16, 16, 28, 12, 12, 26, 14, 16, 18, 24, 42.

This is by no means meant as bragging, I'm just surprised how lucky I've been, compared to my last eight or nine seasons.

How has your captaining turned out? And if you are one of the 70k+ manageres who have done it better than me this season, which moves do you think have compensated for chosing the wrong captain from time to time?

        72k.

Was late to act on both Alonso and Hazard, and missed the latter's early haul alltogether, while other captained him.

I also missed out on Richarlison's early points and that Fraser haul. It's been hit and miss on everything but the captaincy.

No, not really. I think my punty captain choices usually have arrived at a much later point of previous seasons, so that's not the thing. And I've changed the captain in the last minutes a couple of times, like before, but with more luck.

        I'm pretty sure it's a coincidence.

      Well played.

I have not number crunched my scores as frankly cannot be bothered with all that!

I too often get captains wrong but this season can only think of two occasions they failed.

Having failed captains a majority have also captained and having diffs has helped of course. Jiminez and Pickford hauls have been mine.

Capping the highest scoring player 16 out of 16 times is insane. But on the flip side it also should mean that you have had very few surprise defender hauls.

I have avoided looking at this because I know it has been terrible for me this season. Whenever it has been a close call between (c) and (vc) I seem to have got it wrong.

Out of 420 potential captain points I have 232, a full 90 less than you. My (vc) has actually outscored my (c) so far. Those 90 points would make a huge difference in the OR. 😕 If I had just chosen right between (c) and (vc) I'd be 61 points better off. 🙄

But there it is, captaincy is part of the game and evidently I haven't been doing it very well. 🙂

I've not done badly in this
      288 out of a possible 384: 75%

I've only had one single digit Captain score which was 8pts in GW15 but then have only had 4 cap scores over 20pts so it has been mostly bubbling along nicely.

I tend to go with gut unless polls or wisdom of the crowd is making my gut feeling look like madness!

I am still sickened by the fact I sold salah after his Burnley benching. I have had a few captain fails. Laca (2) this week and salah against burnley (8pts). I am on around 80k. You are unlucky not to be higher up the OR.

Can i get some help please not sure what to do...would value a few different perspectives

    Fab
    TAA Robbo Alonso Doherty
    Fraser FAnderson Hazard Sterling(C) Sane
    Abamajang

    Bench Success Ings Dunk

1 Free transfer 0 in the bank

This is my team, not feeling good about Pool - Man U fixture and upcoming games...

    Thinking
    A) Robbo to David Luiz (double up on Chelsea defense for next 6)
    B) Robbo to Holebas...Then upgrade Ings to Rashford Next GW
    C) Hold transfer?
    D) Something else i am missing

It is funny how the player sale price affects decisions by people to sell.
I sold Hazard and made .4 mil not lost .5 mil. Similar story with Mane.
I never look at Transfer Value only Team Value.
The only danger for me is if you want to buy back.
I am getting Hazard back next week. The same value I sold him for.
I do think the Scoutcast team live in the past though, preferring information rather than value.
All I can say is WHAT INFORMATION? or MISINFORMATION.

      1. MTPockets

I don't really look at it, unless a temporary switch where ability to reverse matters.

Trent and duffy gotta be my worst picks of the season, at least the timing of it. Trent I had for 7 gameweeks in total. benched 4 out of the 7 and blanked the other 3 games. Duffy I played for three 1 pointers then benched him for his 10 pointer and played him for his -2 haha

I've changed my captain at least a million times between Son, Hazard, Aubamayang.

Also starting to be tempted by Chicharito v Fulham..

Chico a good pick but the guy never creates his own chances, it's why im always wary of him. He's lethal feeding off scraps but others need to make those for him.

I’m sticking with Aubameyang, he has Southampton who look awful and is in form
