Captains

Vote in the Captain poll for Gameweek 18

There is a whole of options for the captain’s armband in Gameweek 18 and now you can cast your vote in the latest poll below.

Manchester City’s home match against Crystal Palace instantly looks like one fixture to target with the defending Premier League champions so dominant at home.

Leroy Sané (£9.6m), Raheem Sterling (£11.6m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) are expected to be the most backed Citizens given their form at the Etihad Stadium this season.

Those perhaps unwilling to risk a ticket for ‘Pep Guardiola Roulette’ might look to Tottenham’s Sunday afternoon trip to face Everton.

Harry Kane (£12.6m) may have been sluggish against Burnley but the Toffees are without a clean sheet since Gameweek 13, while the Spurs forward netted a brace amid criticism from Fantasy managers at Goodison Park last season.

Christian Eriksen (£9.3m) and Son Heung-min (£8.5m) may also be considered by anyone with little faith in Marco Silva’s defence.

A return to a more familiar attacking style for Liverpool in their 3-1 win over Manchester United may reinvigorate support for Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) and his colleagues.

Elsewhere, an in-form Eden Hazard (£11.0m) hosts a Leicester City side without a clean sheet on the road since Gameweek 11.

Arsenal are the outfit hosting the obliging Burnley defence in Gameweek 18 but it will be interesting to see how much the disappointing scores of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.5m) and Alexander Lacazette (£9.6m), combined with the Clarets’ tight display against Spurs, will affect their share of this week’s vote.

Is Kamara a short term option? Looks more threatening than Mitrovic and fulham got wolves and huddersfield at home after newcastle.
    Considering Fraser + Wilson + Lacazette --> Hazard +Jimenez + Kamara.

He is what he always was: a poor player unlikely to score many points but a great enabler. He should never be in your first 11, but can be moved up a few bench slots while he is in the side and Fulham have good fixtures.

Anyone finds a better transfer here: 1.5 itb with 1 FT

Bought Wilson and Jiminez at original price and both have been scoring consistently, getting in Ings feels a bit knee-jerky although I am considering it as Im chasing in my ML and my rivals have all got one or both of the former.

Did Richa to Son a couple of weeks ago, hoping to hold onto him for Spurs' good fixtures until he leaves in mid-Jan.

Problem with playing 352 with a power 5 in midfield is the the third striker has to be around the 4.5 price tag and with kamaranthe only "decent" option what happens if he gets injured or Fulham gets someone else in January ? If you need City cover this week, yes.

Question is more if he is physically able to. Would be straight in everyone's team if this wasn't a big doubt.

No attacking upside vs TAA, Kola, Digne & Doc all at the same price. He wouldn't be straight in my team.

Looks like it, nothing to worry about

After all he is “one of the best defenders in the world”....

Thought Clyne would be the better bet if TAA is out for a few weeks?

Milner will surely take some of his minutes?

    Thoughts on bench please -

    Fabianski
    Kola Schindler Digne
    Sterling FAnderson Sané Fraser Richarlison
    Kane Auba

    (Button, Doherty, Jiminez, AWB)

    Thanks guys!

I’ve gone with Jiminez over Fraser, he scored against Arsenal,Spurs and Chelsea so could see him scoring against Liverpool. It could easily go either way tho

Yeah wouldn't be too surprised if Jimenez scores, but Fraser has an easier fixture though and has a good record at home this year, specially against the "easier" oppononts. 11pts against Cardiff, 18pts against Leicester and 12pts against Hudd.

Billing > Sane + Kane > Mitro? (-4 but can then leave Jimenez/Rich on bench this GW).

Will have funds to do Auba > Kane next week as well as Bennet > Digne.

      I wouldn't for -4

No. Taking out Kane to bring him back a week later makes no sense.

Wolves are more likely to keep clean sheet or to score this GW? I believe none tbh 🙂
But i need to bench one, Jimenez or Doherty ?

More likely to score. I'd never bench Doherty as he can provide returns at both ends.

        Fabianski-Patricio
        Alonso-Robertson-Laporte-Doherty-WB
        Salah-Sane-Fraser-Richarlison-Hojbjerg
        Aubameyang-Jimenez-Chicharito

        Who would you bench then?

      1. Eze Really?

I tend to disagree. All players will be rotated so if Martial plays 75% of the highest team on season ticker.

He could be good but bench cover for Sane martial Son sterling etc is important

What defender for under 5.9 do you recommend then, long term?
