Lucas Perez starts up front for West Ham as Hernandez misses out

The final match of Gameweek 19 takes place this evening as Southampton take on injury-hit West Ham United. Kick-off at St. Mary’s Stadium is at 19:45 GMT.

Already without the services of Marko Arnautovic (£6.9m), the visitors are also missing Javier Hernandez (£6.4m) through injury – so Lucas Perez (£6.2m) makes only his second league start of the season for the Hammers.

Manuel Pellegrini has made five changes in all to his West Ham starting XI, with Michail Antonio (£6.8m) shifted to right-back in place of the absent Pablo Zabaleta (£4.3m), and Grady Diangana (£4.5m) getting a recall on the wing.

Felipe Anderson (£7.3m) and Robert Snodgrass (£5.4m) retain their places.

Pellegrini has only been able to name six substitutes tonight, including youngsters Xande Silva and Conor Coventry (both £4.5m).

Lukasz Fabianski (£4.7m) is  the most-owned FPL player on show this evening.

The Saints are not quite so injury-ravaged and Ralph Hasenhuttl has made only one alteration to his side from the team that beat Huddersfield Town in Gameweek 18: the suspended Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (£4.4m) being replaced by Mario Lemina (£4.8m).

Danny Ings (£5.6m) has been transferred in by more FPL managers than any other budget asset in each of the last two Gameweeks: just over 350,000 Fantasy bosses have brought the Southampton striker in during this time.

By contrast, Felipe Anderson was the fourth-most-sold Fantasy player of Gameweek 19: over 165,000 managers shipped out the Brazilian midfielder, despite him recording an attacking return in five of his last eight starts.

Southampton XI (3-4-3): McCarthy; Bednarek, Vestergaard, Yoshida; Valery, Lemina, Romeu, Targett; Armstrong, Ings, Redmond.

West Ham United XI (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Antonio, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Obiang; Snodgrass, Diangana, Anderson; Perez.

Is Lloris a decent option now and best route into Spurs defence? Great fixtures including a run of three home games in a row coming up. Given the rotation risks of their defenders feel Lloris could be a good pick?

I went for Lloris a few weeks ago. Still not sure it was the right move. He’s slightly erratic at times and those rotating defenders are a danger to his CS potential.

True I've never owned him in the game. Tho Verthongen returning could be big, spurs mates rate him there best defender. I'd hope Poch sticks with the experienced heads In Toby & Jan for their title run in.

I think Trippier is the one to go for from the Spurs defence - much higher ceiling and I don't think he'll be rotated much

The one I wanted originally and was part of my plan removing Alonso. I missed out on his purple patch earlier this season. Aurier back soon tho and FA Cup, League and Europe plenty of games to go around.

I'm considering Liverpool double tho TAA & Robertson now and Lloris as my spurs option.

I bought him a few weeks ago, 2 cleanies out of 3, cheaper than trippier and nailed, cheapest premium keeper ... lock, load, forget 🙂

    Balbuena ->

    A) Digne - cheap, attacking on set pieces and good fixtures. Although it does feel a bit like point chasing, and I'm not sure bha, LEI, BOU are that good from a clean sheet perspective (not is the EVE defence!)

    B) Trippier - had his rest, attacking, on set pieces and good fixtures.

    C) Alonso - 3 great fixtures up next and he is (cough) DUE!

    Trent, Doherty, Kolasinac, Holebas, xxx

I waited on Digne and brought him in last week. Low CS potential but those attacking returns are where it’s at. Showed Siggy a thing or two about free kicks as well.

Isn’t Balbu due back this week?

        Nice timing!

Sounds like Balb might be back soon, but I also have Fabs and don't really like the WHU double up. I'm between these moves - whatcha think?

        A) Balbuena - Digne
        B) Balbuena -> Trippier
        C) Camarasa -> Martial (bench Ings)

        A) leaves enough cash for Sane -> Hazard next week, so is swaying me...

        Fabianski
        Holebas, Trent, Balbuena
        Sane, Son, Siggy, FAnderson
        Kane, Auba, Ings

        Steele, Camarasa, Kolasinac, Doherty

A or B. Depends if you can use the difference. Digne fixtures are good for a good while I'm planning to set and leave him in my team. Tripper if he gets back on set pieces could score big but Eriksen finding his form now.

Cheers. A enables Sane -> Hazard next week, so thinking that is worth going Digne over Trippier at the moment. Although I do really like the look of Trippier over the next few weeks.

Seeing many jumping onto Pogba..personally I feel Lingard/Martial/Rashford could be better attacking assets if they're nailed, thus, might wait for another game to see what the actual first team is after Sanchez/Kaku are back.

Not at all saying Pogba is a bad option here, but these other guys might prove to be more attacking and cheap especially when we wanna fit in the likes of Kane, Salah, Haz etc etc.

Don't like the "why always me" type players and I mean who the hell celebrates goals like that !?

Oh Yer! That guy. Mart/ Lin and Rash for me too.

Pogba will still be the most nailed out of all. Likely to be way more involved in the assists/goals in this new style.

I think him and an attacker is the way to go. I fancy Martial-Sanchez-Rashford to be our settled front 3

3 red arrows out of the last 4 gameweeks and dropped about 50pts of my mini league lead. Is my team gtg? Almost panicked and did -8 but held off. Got 0ft

    Fabianski
    Robertson / Digne / Doherty
    Hazard / Sterling / Pogba / F.Anderson / Richarlison
    Kane / Rashford

Bench: Jimenez / AWB / Bennett

    Anyone have team structure rules?
    Here's mine.

    1. Rotating keepers
    2. At least 2 premium defenders.
    3. Playing 4.0 defenders from decent teams are must have, max two.
    4. Only one premium striker, no more, no less.

used to have that but team's formation has been all over the place this year. structure is changing with change in fixtures...

True. But these rules have continued to guide my transfer choices lol. Like, Kane is not even considered by me as Auba has that premium striker slot, and I'm not going to get two premiums in that position.

      Yup, mine:

      1) Don’t have rotating keepers, hate points on the bench. Max 5.0 for first keeper, around 4.0 for the sub keeper
      2) Same as you
      3) Same as you
      4) Looking for wingbacks as defs
      5) At least 2 premium mids
      6) At least 1 premium forward
      7) Don’t waste a transfer if you don’t think it would pay of more than 4 points
      8) Don’t get injure prone players like Ramsey etc.

The game keeps evolving, I can't afford to have such static rules.

Started the season with 3 premium defs. Now I have 3 defs below 4.5 and none above 5.2.

With mid prized mids scoring fairly consistently, i only have hazard from the premium mids.

It's the strikers where I am putting my money now with auba and Kane. The other options are way too unreliable. I would also get Aguero if I had the money.

Seeing all these teams with no City attack. I’ve no doubt they will bounce back. Best attack in the league for the last 2 seasons, they won’t stay down for long. A couple weeks ago Sterling/Sane were essential

I hope they do something this week, wont be able to hold if they blank again. Hazard/Salah lurking...

True but now, with KDB back and Aguero fully fit, there’s the dual risk of poor(er) form, and rotation.

My timing for going City-less was spot on, right before their loss vs Chelsea! Been afraid of a massive rank drop that never came. Well, not yet .
Regardless, I feel like the time will come where I can't afford to go Cityless any longer. And yet, I feel my team will cope just fine, like, they can match City assets in the long run.
      Time will tell.

It’s Xmas, the team is unsettled, rotation is hitting as 3 key players are coming back from injury ... I will get Aguero or KdB when the time is right.

You have to be quick on your feet these days to catch the good fixture and form runs, sitting on non performing expensive players whilst others are hauling will see your drop in rank

City have been pap though. When the time comes. We can switch out the poorer players in our team for a sane or sterling

Sterling has not matched his expectations over the past 4-6 gameweeks.
For his price he should have had more minutes and points. His performances have also dropped in the games he has played.

Sane still looks good value for money no doubt. He’s a more assured started and his performances haven’t dropped as much as Sterling.
