    Anybody contemplating Auba to Kun?

Its just that we should expect now that City start to demolish sides in order to pile more pressure on Liverpool?

as an arsenal fan...yes. Do that. I have lost faith in us over xmas. We made fulham at home look like a tough fixture. Aguero was spuerb against iverpool and i suspect will start most league games but be hauled off around 60-70 mins

    Is Hennessey actually getting dropped?
Remember a good few years ago, in a bid to "support their player" and "innocent until proven guilty", Sunderland still fielded Adam Johnson when he faced child sex offences? Couldnt Palace play him back as a sign of that they believe his excuse and back him??

Yeah I saw it - is he really that stupid to think doing the salute would be a good idea when he knew the photo would get out? Even if he didn't, in what context would doing a salute there be a good idea?

His excuse, as ridiculous as it initially sounds at least makes sense.

Want to bring Salah and, to do it for free, I’m thinking of saving an FT this week then next week either:

    A) Hojbjerg & Auba > Salah & Kamara
    B) Anderson & Auba > Salah & Arnautovic
    C) Do one of them this week for a hit

    What do you think?

    Currently on 1FT, 3.4 ITB
    Ederson
    Alonso / Digne / Lovren (Wan-Bis / Bennett)
Pogba / Richarlison / Anderson / Brooks (Hojbjerg)
    Kane / Auba/ Rashford

    2 or 3 premiums?

I've been thinking a lot about this recently as I can't easily fit Salah, Kane and Hazard in my team, and so one has to make way.

The more I think about it, the more I reckon 2 premium players is preferable than 3. It doesn't make much sense to hold three high value players (£11m plus) when only one of them can be your captain every week.

My thoughts at the moment are to have Salah captain almost every week and use one of Kane/Hazard to cover for any bad Liverpool fixtures.

Of course my claim is based on the fact that the cash from the downgrade to the 3rd premium player allows for upgrades elsewhere in the team.

    What do you think?

    1. Rostah
      • 9 Years

2 is fine, throw in another 2 around the 9-10m price point and you've got plenty of budget for a balanced team.

Imo, pretty balanced. Cant see dropping one premium would upgrade this team any further. Pherhapps, Kane->Auba, but stick with 3 premiums until the end.

        Permacaptaning Salah.

        1. SuperHam
          • 7 Years

Dropping one would obviously allow yo to upgrade the team- the key question is whether the upgrades would be worth sacrificing your 3rd premium.

e.g. by getting rid of hazard, you could upgrade Wilson to Firmino and probably have some cash left over.

Everyone agrees that is an upgrade, but is it worth more than keeping Hazard?

          1. F_Ivanovic
            • 8 Years

Wilson + Hazard will probably score more than Firmino + 8m or under mid.

            I don't agree that's an upgrade.

Wilson has more minutes, more goals, more assists, more penalty area touches, more attempts in the box, has had more big chances and a better goal conversion rate than Firmino.

And he costs £2.5m less - money which can go elsewhere on a proper upgrade.

            Not worth it imo.

Cant only see one spot to upgrade in my team, Richarlison. Mid priced forwards not worth it vs Wilson/Jimenez/Mitrovic.

    3. F_Ivanovic

I've got 3. I like the options even if I can only captain 1. It's definitely a bit more tricky with Salah but any other combination of 3 premiums is easily doable.

what about having salah and hazard....but then eriksen or alli instead of kane?

    5. Mortal.Swinbat

I've literally just asked this exact question in the above article. I also have Salah, Kane and Hazard and like you will be perma-captaining Salah and using Kane to cover any dodgy Liverpool fixtures.

Hazard/Aguero/Sterling/Aub are all capable of fitting double digit hauls which is why it is good to have them in our teams, however for the price of two 11 and 4.5 players you could gave 7 and 7.5 which could lead to better value. Will Hazard and Kamara outscore Rashford and Richarlison, or Robertson and Sane for example?

An interesting question, there is no correct answer sadly, Hazard could get a hat trick then outscore two 7 million midfielders for weeks, but also he could blank and the two mid's could both score attacking points, nothing is a certainty in FPL.

However I am looking at just having two big hitters going forward and spreading my funds for a more rotatable squad, instead of cramming in three/four big hitters and always having to play my cheap striker/midfielder against a bad fixture. Big hitters don't get more points for a goal than a 6 million striker.

Again, take a peek at my team.

I can’t see where to upgrade if I loose one premium.
Only one spot, Richarlison pherhapps. Is it worth it?

Currently Salahless with Auba, Kane and Haz and just hit a season-high rank (GW1 not included). Not going to panic about Salah's form. He needs to maintain that just to justify that price tag. He won't go over and above justifying the price. Anything less than 12 points per game average is unacceptable for him, and I believe that there will be better value players to get more overall points throughout the team in later GWs. Fixtures for the rest of the season are nice for Liverpool but no need to panic. I'd be more likely to WC around GW28, dropping Kane, and spreading that value throughout the team on high 'season value' players with good fixtures in the last 10 (depending on how the blank/double GWs pan out).
