Hazard returns to false-nine role ahead of Newcastle meeting

Eden Hazard (£11.1m) returns to his false-nine role for Chelsea as Newcastle come to Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

That’s because both Pedro (£6.3m) and Willian (£7.3m) come back into the team to operate as the wide-men in Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system.

The Blues are as usual both in defence and midfield, with eyes on Marcos Alonso (£6.7m), who lost another 100,000+ owners ahead of the Gameweek 22 deadline.

Hazard and company will be targetting a weak Newcastle central midfield with Jonjo Shelvey (£5.3m) and Mohamed Diame (£4.8m) out, and Ki Sung-yeung (£4.7m) away on international duty.

Lining up in that position are the inexperienced Sean Longstaff (£4.5m) and Isaac Hayden (£4.3m).

Chelsea XI: Kepa; Alonso, D Luiz, Rüdiger, Azpilicueta; Kovacic, Jorginho, Kanté; Willian, Hazard, Pedro.

    I am so annoyed about the captain sensible article.

    I had the armband on Hazard but the conclusion said that the "captaincy SCREAMS Auba" so I switched.

    I am sorry to say this but the standard of the article is not good enough and a new author is needed.

    On a personal level, my weekend is completely ruined now.

        David is brilliant at other articles - he's written some very clever members stuff and his scout notes are top notch - but captain sensible is just not his bag. And it is the most important article of the week.

      I would argue that the quality of the article is not on the gw results but upon the reasoning and justifications. They are predictions and reasoning on why a certain choice is more likely to work, the word there being 'likely'

      I think maybe writing this before you know the results and then writing why the article is wrong with your own justifications would make sense. This is just silliness or trolling. Or regret (something we all suffer from here)

        I once got up to 300 OR (3/4 through the season) met a girl, and totally dropped off focussing on fpl. Ended the season around 1400 OR.

      Wow classic. Don’t you realise football is essentially a collection of random events? Nobody actually know what’s going to happen and if they did, they wouldn’t be writing for ffs, they’d be making millions betting :-). Auba was a good shout, but it didn’t happen, get over it - I benched fabs because if that, but it won’t ruin my weekend.

        I took the armband of Hazard and changed it to Auba, mainly because I'd read the article. It and and the stats quoted made a good case for it.
        It didn't work out. That's it, not the writers fault it was a good interesting article and the points were still valid. I'm angry at no-one, not the author, not myself, not Auba.
        Its just a game and a bit of fun.

      Although pens are taken into consideration when you buy a player, it is frustrating, 1 in 4 from open play. I sold Salah for Sterling when City played Palace and we know how that went. I similarly think he needs to return to my team now, it's whether or not that's for a hit this week or free the week after.
