No shocks from the team news at Wembley as Pogba starts

Tottenham Hotspur take on Manchester United in the second of two Premier League matches to be contested on Sunday. Kick-off at Wembley is at 16:30 GMT.

Both sides have made two changes to their starting XIs from Gameweek 21.

Ben Davies and the fit-again Jan Vertonghen replace Danny Rose and Davinson Sanchez for the hosts, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recalls Jesse Lingard and Ashley Young in place of Juan Mata and Antonio Valencia.

Paul Pogba, as expected, is fit to start after recovering from the knock he picked up in the victory over Newcastle United.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial join Lingard in a front three for the Red Devils, who name the same team that lined up against Cardiff City in Solskjaer’s very first match in charge.

Romelu Lukaku is among the substitutes but Alexis Sanchez misses out through injury.

Son Heung-min starts for Spurs for the final time before he departs for the Asian Cup.

Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane also line up for the Lilywhites in what appears to be a familiar-looking 4-4-2 diamond.

Lucas Moura misses out with a knee injury.

Spurs won this reverse fixture 3-0 back in August, with Kane registering a double-digit haul.

Kane has delivered an attacking return in each of his last ten Premier League starts, while Son has done likewise over his last eight starts.

Almost half of Pogba’s FPL points in 2018/19 (49 out of 100) have come in the last four Gameweeks, meanwhile.

Spurs XI (4-4-2 diamond): Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Kane.

Manchester United XI (4-3-3): De Gea, Young, Jones, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic, Herrera, Pogba, Lingard, Martial, Rashford.

Been having a look at the stats for Liverpool at home because Liverpool have 3 home games in the next 4. Firmino and Mane have registered almost exactly the same number of Goal Attempts and shots in the box as Salah, although Salah is quite a bit ahead for assist potential.

We all know Mane can bang in a quick fire hatrick and he loves playing at home. And going him over Salah means Mane and KDB rather than Salah and, say, Anderson.

Obviously going Salah-less is scary given the ownership and captaincy, but with Salah's open play xG being so poor it could be a calculated gamble that pays off.

    Thoughts?

I’ve been looking at this also. Unless getting Salah is such a struggle for you I would look at Mané but other than that.

Mane a good option for the next few, once you don't just have him to justify 'covering' Salah.

I had him to cover Salah for the first 10 weeks or so. Worked perfectly. This “you can’t cover a player “ stuff is nonsense, you can.

          HAHAHAHA

You cant "cover a player", you can choose to have a better option, you cant cover. You either have the best 11 players or you dont.

Mane doesnt cover Salah, Mane provides a legitimate option whether you do or do not have Salah as well.

You also have to take into account the upgrade elsewhere. Getting a pogba or son in for a cheap 4th mid. It’s a risk but it obviously can work.

Its just people always say that and its not true in the slightest. People msut have garbage taste buds, if they cant tell the difefrence between the following:
                    -Pepsi and coke
                    -Diet coke and normal coke
-Dairy free products vs dairy products
                    -and Quorm instead of meat
Really makes me laugh honestly, when people are like he will never know! And im like wtf is this chit?
Or they get me diet coke or somthing, I throw it away it tastes that horrible.

I hear you but there are great alternatives now. But I’ve only found one butter that comes up to scratch, most taste like plastic fakeness but I could guarantee you, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between this Naturli and say a Lurpack kind of butter. As for ice-creams, they are getting better every day. Cheese is still a big issue mind.

Supplement if you’re worried you’d eat an unbalanced diet. You can easily balance a vegan diet. B12 is the only thing even meat eaters get deficient in that tho so everyone should supplement that

An understandable issue. Domestic vegan products are growing massively now. But the soy beans and such that we have to import are in fact fed at a greater rate to our livestock than to us. Globally 70% of soy beans are fed to animals, 6% to humans and the rest is made into oil.

Soy is also a crop that can only be grown in certain parts of the country due to soil and climate requirements. Also we already have to import large quantities of veg and fruit due to seasonality with their carbon footprint.
You can't just swap land from livestock to alternative crops. A large % of livestock farming takes place on land that has little chance of being used for another food producing purpose.

Not at all. Almond milk, soya milk etc etc are pretty much identical in nutrients to cows milk apart from the protein that does not make much of a difference, in fact you get Vit D which you do not in cows milk. It’s an old wives tale that you need animal milk to meet your calcium requirements. The only thing that is a slight issue on a plant based diet is B12 that can easily be supplemented and many products are fortified. And as for Iron and a few other nutrients and molecules these can be found in a varied diet but I do feel a tad sleepy and weak nowwwww

I have a few friends that have gone down the vegan road and i have tried some of the grub they eat and it is not bad but at the same time no substitute for meat fish and poultry.

They have made a choice and that is their right. The thing is that some of them feel that they have a right to tell me how to live and that is none of their business and i have to point out to them from time to time that they are in a very small percentage of the populous and that man has evolved hand in hand with eating meat fish and game.

I really think it is an urban thing with people that have lost contact with nature and never went hunting fishing etc, for their food.

              Eat what you kill ftw.

We don’t need to kill to survive anymore it isn’t kind to. Yes there are choices but here there are choices that have victims and one that doesn’t. A fair choice would logically be the one with the fewest victims do you agree?

                  No i do not agree.

If you eliminated meat fish etc. from the populations diets for some high minded idea you would trigger a mass famine and then you would have some real victims.

I do not look at game as victims no more that a lion or a tiger would.

Real victims ? Do you know how much food we feed to our livestock ffs ? How much land we use to grow crops to feed our food? If we leave the animals alone we can use this land and have surpluses of food for our most starving many times over. Livestock are capable of living from the land they don’t need to be fattened by copious soy products and grains we should be feeding to the world’s most vulnerable.

I come from a rural part of the south west of Ireland so i understand very well what it takes to feed livestock.90% of which is exported to mainly feed people in the UK.

If you happen to own some land then it is your business what you do with it.You obliviously do not know much about livestock because leaving them alone would be truly cruel as they would not be able to cope as they have been breed for the table.

Well considering that bovine are not native to this part of the world in that case it would not be long before they would "decline back into their natural population level" which is zero.

You are of course aware of common farming practices. Is killing babies, being forceably pregnated and mass slaughter better than no life at all supposing cows can’t survive in the masses of open land?

Well in this part of the world farming has supported many babies to grow all the way into adulthood for generations and we would have died out without it.

Where do you think the human race and civilization would be without animal husbandry and farming?

Where are these "masses of open land" you speak of?Grass does not grow here in Europe in the winter like it does in Asia where bovine hail from so when they are granted their new found freedom in your Utopia what do you think they will eat?

You know in the UK carrier bags dont even make up 0.00001% of the amount of plastic wastage created by UK industry. And yet they are charging us 5p for a bag, its just total bs. And another way for them to make money, they dont give a fck about turtles.

Single plastic bag use is down 70-80 percent so that’s a pretty good start

I avoid meat because I watched undercover videos of uk slaughterhouses, but going vegan is huge for the environment ... even on an individual level. It takes more than 2,400 gallons of water to produce just 1 pound of meat.

Have you seen conspiracy on Netflix?

Going vegan is the single biggest thing you can do for carbon emissions and the environment. Forget recycling. Forget buying an electric car. Avoiding meat is the big one.

The vegan diet offers so much more nutrition and taste if done properly.

            Check out "deliciously Ella".

After eating one of her recipes, you'll feel better and more energised than you have felt in your life.

I'm not vegan but it wouldn't worry me at all if I went that far. With the notable exception of eggs. Saturday boilies + toast.
Most carnivores have no idea how to make a vegan meal delicious.

Follow a recipe from the deliciously Ella website or cookbook. Best place to start for vegan food that tastes incredible.

I didn't say I haven't got any vegan recipes - we have at least 15 veggie books and many of them have vegan recipes. We probably 2 to 3 vegan meals a week. As for your overarching message - I am broadly in agreement.

Been vegan 2 years, but considering eating eggs and fish again. Mainly put off going back as I think everyone waits for a vegan to give up so they can lord it over how weak they are.

Cakes and I really enjoy good quality fish.

I’m not saying I’d eat either more than 1/2 per month. But home baking is much easier with eggs. Never seem to make anything decent without them, or at least, it’s much much more effort.

          Fish - taste / nutrition-wise.

Also, I’d consider these the least worse non-vegan things. If you are buying decent free range (ideally someone you know), or fish that is line caught.. still not sure though.

Yep baking is an issue (haha is this really a football site, especially when the game is on) I’ve used the fake egg, aquafabba and even fizzy drinks to get a reasonable result

A vegan for 2 years and you haven’t read about the lack of ethics inherent in free range and in line caught fishing? Please before making this decision read about these things as it is harmful in any quantity. You’ve done brilliantly this far be part of this movement and be proud of it we are the best

Of course it’s for the greater good. What do you think happens to dairy cows if everybody stops drinking cows milk? Farmers continue to feed them and keep them on their now useless properties?

No demand begins to fall (won’r Happen overnight) so cows will eventually reach their natural population again and live peacefully among us once again

What do you think happened to the plantation owners back in the day before slavery and free labour was abolished. Compassion and change takes time but people can adapt and prosper in new ways.

I’m talking about the animals. For the most part they would cease to exist. Do you think there would be billions of chickens and cows and pigs strutting around, loving life, if the meat/dairy trade disappeared. There would be nature reserves, farms, zoos, pets, that’s it.

I cannot talk for everybody but I know for one that I’d rather be dead than tortured and taped every day. (Not saying all dairy farms are as bad as some) Cows could be reintroduced to Africa and Asia where they inhabited for millions of years before enslavement.
