Scoutcast Episode 281 – Buzzing

Harry Kane’s ankle injury, which is set to keep him out of action until March, tops the bill during an action-packed show that bizarrely also takes in James Bond and Toy Story.

After taking great pleasure in looking back on their excellent Gameweek 22 scores, the Scoutcast crew tuck into the key questions from the community ahead of the next set of matches.

Kane’s absence sees David, Joe, Az and Luke discuss the best forward options, with Manchester United’s talismanic striker topping their lists. Moving money into midfield is also considered as the crew look at Dele Alli’s Buzz Lightyear-esque ability to step up whenever his Spurs’ team-mate is absent.

Whether to ditch disappointing players from the ranks of Chelsea, Everton and West Ham is another issue tackled.

Meanwhile, there are some words of warning for those looking to deploy their second wildcard now rather than save it to help navigate the double and blank Gameweeks to come.

Elsewhere, Az’s round-up of the community’s recent moves showcases a high-flying manager with a licence to thrill in the overall rankings.

The crew finish off with a look at their transfer and captaincy plans as well as the best differentials and defences in Gameweek 23.

    Eh up gents,

I’ve not been on here in a while and need some guidance if anyone can spare some.

Do we reckon this is worth a -8?

    Kane + TTA + Jimenez

    >

    Firminho + Robertson + Rashford

Bearing in mind I’ve now missed the price rises.

    Many thanks to any replies

#Higuain at Chelsea on loan with redemption right for 6 months.

If conditions (goals, appearances, team goals) occur, Chelsea will be obliged to keep it for another year (2019/2020) on loan with a right of redemption.

Chelsea will always pay his salary. via @FabrizioRomano

Solid deal for Chelsea. Not much in it even if it doesnt pan out.

Wow nice deal. You get an aging player and don't have to pay compensation nor secure him a future pay promising to pay his wages for multiple years, and if he doesn't do well you don't even have to keep him around. Plus it's Higuian. Must be something we're missing. Blackmail somewhere along the line 😆

        • 8 Years

I suppose his wages could be ridonculously high, but still must be much less than the usual fees for signing a player like that with time left on the contract.

don't have Salah, and don't want to use my wildcard just to get him in. What you guys think?

I'm 90 k overall, but I'm concerned as I don't know who to captain this week.

    Etheridge
    Robertson/Daniels/Bennett
    Mane/Frasee/Sane/Pogba(c)
    Jiminez/Firmino(v) /Aubameyang

    Fabianski/Camarasa/Kolasinac/Wan Bissaka.

Liverpool aren't guaranteed to thump Palace, so is it a waste of a wildcard.

    Also, Firmino captain? Seems risky

    Etheridge
    Robertson, Digne, Shaw, AWB
    Salah, Hazard, Sane, Pogba
    Aubameyang, Rashford

    Speroni, Bednarek, Puncheon, 4.4

I know it’s premium heavy, but has all the players who scare me in, with a decent defence?

If I did downgrade a big hitter to spread funds I don’t know who I’d take out and who I’d bring in.

Plan to do Shaw to TAA when he’s back for double pool defence
