Has Salah finally shaken off his bonus points repellant?

Mohamed Salah (£13.4m) might have finally shaken off his aversion to bonus points this season as his Fantasy Premier League form continues to impress.

The Egyptian has recorded ten additional points through bonus in the last seven matches, which is 83% of his total for this year. If he continues at this rate, he could eclipse his tally for last season.

In the 2017/18 campaign, Salah broke the all-time FPL total score for a season but still only managed to add 26 bonus points.

A high number of off-target shots and offsides, as well as the fact that he was tackled fairly often, were all contributing factors to Salah dropping down the bonus points charts.

However, Liverpool’s number one attacker seems to have made improvements in all of those areas in recent weeks, to the extent that he has been averaging 1.43 bonus points per match since Gameweek 16.

In fact, Salah’s 11-point haul against Brighton in Gameweek 22 was the first match in which he has produced only one goal and earned bonus.

It was, of course, a match-winning goal, which does raise bonus points, but he has scored in two 1-0 wins before the one at the Amex Stadium and earned no bonus in either of them.

Prior to that, Salah has had to score another or provide an assist to put himself into consideration for the extra points on offer.

So that means something must have changed in his underlying statistics to endear him to the bonus points system (BPS) more than last season. Fantasy Football Scout members can read on and see more of our analysis…

    Bench one:
    A) Doherty (LEI)
    B) Shaw (BHA)
    C) Digne (sou)
    D) Sigurdsson (sou)

Currently have Doherty on the bench.

      I think so, yes.
Sane should get enough minutes to cause damage against Huddersfield based on his recent form. Rich should get points at Southampton, but he's been inconsistent. Huddersfield a bit uncertain with no manager, could go either way.
      I'd probably do it.

    Interesting GW this week...

Lots of people taking hits due to the injuries of popular players
Also lots of people with benching headaches based on many posts on here and quite a lot are Wildcarding too.

Based on the favourable fixtures for a lot of the "template" players, the average score will be a high one this week I reckon..

    Thoughts?

        • 7 Years

        Yeah probably!
And saying that, given the hits everyone is taking, the average will go down due to that.
Roll in Salah blank (90% captaining) and a 30 pointer average...

Would you do Guaita > Patricio for a -4?

If no I'd have no keeper for this GW.

Not Patricio. He sucks. 1 CS and 2.4pt average since GW8. Fed up with him

Should i do Kane & TAA > Jimenez & Robbo (-4) tonight to avoid TAA price drop?
And is that the best transfers?
Have Digne, Doherty, Kola, AWB + Auba and Rash
