    Alli/Kamara -> Higuain/4.9m (Camarasa, McNeil, Guendouzi, Stephens) for -4pt.

    Leaning Higs/McNeil. Thoughts?

United played a Cruyff diamond today, looking at average positions. Strikers nice and wide.

    Martial.................................Lukaku
    ......................Lingard
    ...........Pogba............Herrera
    .......................Matic
    Shaw ....Lindelof .....Bailly ....Young
    ......................Romero

Herrara covered the right flank to allow Lukaku to stay forward, and Pogba pushed on the left. There's strong mathematical theory behind this formation. You can pin back an entire back 4 with just 2 wide players, allowing superior numbers in midfield with a 2-man advantage. Love it.

Makes a lot of sense in today's game where just about everyone is playing with winger-like full backs. Of course, that type of FB came about as they'd get the most time on the ball when playing against 4411 and 4231 formations.

Liverpool also attack this vulnerability with Firmino. I think Arsenal should also with Lacazette and Aubameyang, but Ozil doesn't provide enough defensively - Ramsey would be ideal in the false 9 / 10 position. Shame he's off!

Arsenal would kill using that. Imagine Aubameyang and Lacazette wide, with Ozil & Ramsey playing together in a diamond...

Yeah Liverpool have used it with Firmino deep and Salah and Mane essentially wide strikers. Seems to be the way modern football is going, especially possession football.

It's basically Pep's Barca. 433 with a false nine. But he got it from Cruyff. https://youtu.be/7NZ0byEyeOA?t=87

Did notice Lukaku wide a lot of the time though once Martial came on it was more back to the familiar 4-2-3-1 with Rashford in the centre and Lingard right

Just noticed I wrote Martial instead of Sanchez. oops 🙂

Yeah thought he switched to 4231 (4411 in defence) when Lingard came off but it may have been before.

It will be a tight race, Spurs even with significant injury problems is still likely to get inside, and Chelsea are not in great form but they are more solid than Arsenal albeit the latter arguably has a tine higher top level, i think Chelsea edges it on their steadyness. United in great form and now within grasp, but for how long wil their form last? Fixture list is also a factor here, United about to head into a pretty tough fixture schedule. Spurs being 7 points clear make me favor them and then i guess Unied/Chelsea for 4th spot.

My season finished in October. Useless rank, TC and 2nd wildcard used.

Was debating with myself(!) when best GW for Freehit and for Bench boost. Thinking Freehit for all in most likely doublers in a smallish DGW and try to accumulate as many as I can for a bench boost bigger DGW looking to carry those into subsequent GWs.

            All advice is welcome.

Cheers. Just had a quick glance. Prob max out 11 with 2x 3.8 defender, 3.9 keeper, prob will still have Schneiderlin. Cos I've no WC will prob still use biggest DGW for benchboost.

Planning for BGW 31 & 33 from now & using FH Chip in gw 32 AND WC gw34 ::: BB gw35 looks like the best strategy to me.
TC could have been useful for the upcoming small dgw but nevertheless you can claw back with other DGW.
