With the overhaul just a few weeks away in the Sky Fantasy game, I suspect most are holding back transfers and looking to remake their teams then.

My team sits just inside the top 700 and I’ve only got eight transfers left having recently replaced Boly and Kane – I’d rather more of course, as I was aiming for ten, but will have to make do!

I have to admit I’m a bit like a kid at Christmas when it comes to the overhauls. Fixtures, player form, the Scout’s Season Ticker, and recent transfers will all be carefully scrutinized. I’ll probably look at a core of players who’ve proved themselves so far; the likes of Laporte, Luiz, Doherty, Alisson, Robertson, Salah, and Sterling will be vying for places among enablers like Brooks, Paterson, Bennett, or anyone else who catches the eye (McNeill most recently). Higuain at 11.9, Man United’s resurgence – it’s all getting a bit more complicated!

Does anyone know when the second half of the season league starts in the Sky game? I know you can add a third team but wanted to wait until the league is up and running. I'm having a truly dreadful season Skywise (17859!) so this league would be one I'd be interested in.

They aren't running an official 2nd half league this season sadly. I set up a 2nd half mini-league but that started a couple of gameweeks ago. Code is 8416491 if you want to join it

As a Sky player myself the February overhaul is probably my favourite because then we have way more of an idea about players and teams.

I like to pick out the hidden gems of the game, cheap players with low ownership. This is how your team can be a force to be reckoned with, owning players who are not as popular BUT are gaining big points.

I have a blog that highlights these hidden gems weekly and at this stage of the season a few of them are now in the 100 point mark, so they definitely worth looking at for your teams.

That would be my advice really for the overhaul, check out the cheap players less than say £7.5m because they could be doing just as good as the expensive big name players. This will also then allow you to free up funds for the premium picks!

... and they didnt ! Sorry 1Z', but with lots of AWB's and a McCarthy owner in my mini league was hoping for just that result. Brooks did me proud tonight, but off crocked and Pogba is a worry as well, hoping they'll both be alright but as the overhaul looms large won't be tempted to transfer at this late stage, though could be two men down. Anyone else have a depleted team and still itching to transfer against best judgement, or perhaps you've enough to go for it. When are two games worth a transfer depending on how many transfers you've got left ?
