FFS Cup

Second FFScout Cup – Entry Now Open

Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce the dates of our second public Fantasy Premier League Cup competition for the 2018/19 campaign.

We are launching another open-to-all tournament with £300 in prizes on offer.

Sign-up for the open tournament can be found here.

The roll call of former cup winners looks like this: donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC, Mark, Leon Harris, A Manager Has No Name, Sleepysi, TH14, 2EyedTurk and our reigning champion Man-Chest-Heir F.C.

As former winners, those listed will gain a bye to the first round of the tournament should they enter with the same username.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

How does the Cup work?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

When does it start?

The qualifying round for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup will take place in Gameweek 28, with the first round proper running in Gameweek 29.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 18:45 GMT on Tuesday February 26, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

How do I enter?

Enter the open-to-all FFS Cup via the entry form here.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team ID at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

Your entry is only completed once you have confirmed your FPL team ID as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries.

The open-to-all FFS Cup list is here.

How do I find my FPL team ID?

Your FPL ID is your unique ID for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right-hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX here: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history)

Place this 1-7 digit number, or your Gameweek History URL, in the FPL ID field on the entry form.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after February 26 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

What is the Gameweek Schedule?

Both these cup competitions will be played out according to the following proposed Gameweek schedule, though this could be subject to change.

Fantasy Football Scout Cup Round Dates
Qualifying – Gameweek 28

Round 1 – Gameweek 29
Round 2 – Gameweek 30
Round 3 – Gameweek 31
Round 4 – Gameweek 32
Round 5 – Gameweek 33
Round 6 – Gameweek 34
Quarter-Final – Gameweek 35
Semi-Finals – Gameweek 36
Final and third place play-off – Gameweek 37

When are the fixtures released?

Where possible, the fixture list for each round will be published a day or two before each Gameweek deadline.

The first round draw for the open-to-all cup will be made and published shortly after February 27.

Prizes

Overall Prizes
The prizes for the FFS Cup are as follows:

1st Place: £150 Amazon voucher
2nd Place: £100 Amazon voucher
3rd Place: £50 Amazon voucher

Do I have to enter if I’m a previous winner?

Yes, because your FPL team ID will have changed so we will need to record your entry again. As a previous winner, you will be given a bye to the first round proper.

Do I need to be registered with Fantasy Football Scout?

We ask you to supply a Fantasy Football Scout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament.

Ideally, you will already have a username with us, but this is not essential to enter.

You must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles.

You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament. Should you do so without permission, should you enter multiple teams, or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament at any stage.

Pereira rising soon if that matters.

        yeah, did notice that.

even if auba gets injured I'll still do A or B (probably A), and just captain Son instead - wouldnt waste a transfer to get in aguero this week as a replacement when he isn't even playing

I'll probably be getting him, mind, but are there any better options right now in that price bracket or lower than Felipe Anderson?

Seems like everyone and their nan are getting him in on here, but not many others really doing it. Only Fraser looks attractive as well due to playing in the blanks, but only really GW30 onwards.

I'm not saying he's not good option but weird based on recent stats and returns. His golden period was 11-19 with 7 goals 2 assists(8 goals 4 assists season total) so he's hardly the assist king

      Missing a certain Egyptian

Too heavy on Chelsea IMO, get a bit of Bournemouth or Burnley in there to mix it up.

Arnie is a risk given his seemingly constant near-injury status and not yet recovering from his China crisis

That doesn't match the linked team in your profile?

It's a nice team. I'm would roll FT and have another look at likes of Harvey Barnes etc

WIth 3 odd million to upgrade Richarlison, who would you get (preferably someone who plays in GW31 and 33)

Thinking there arent many premium options who play, so Maddison or F.Anderson....thoughts?

Only because Bayern didn't really attack. Fullbacks dire for Pool.

their defence was great but they were also totally lost in attack and lucky not to concede. i fancy liverpool's chances to nick an away goal
