Man United options return ahead of Double Gameweeks

Manchester United have been boosted by the return of several midfield options for their FA Cup clash with Wolves.

Both teams already know their Blank Gameweek fate for the rest of the season as they were due to meet in Gameweek 33 anyway.

Therefore, this particular FA Cup tie will have no immediate effect on the upcoming Fantasy Premier League schedule.

However, it does appear to have put a few Manchester United options back into consideration for the upcoming Double Gameweeks.

Jesse Lingard (£6.7m) and Ander Herrera (£5.0m) are back in the midfield to ease Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s concerns in that position.

The former could end up as an interesting differential for Gameweek 32 with a good performance at Wolves, while Herrera could help further unlock Paul Pogba‘s (£8.9m) potential after a recent dip.

Meanwhile, Juan Mata (£6.1m) is back on the bench.

However, there is no Romelu Lukaku (£10.8m) who picked up a foot injury in the week.

As for Wolves, it’s just one change for Nuno who brings John Ruddy (£4.2m) in for Rui Patricio (£4.5m).

That means that despite being available for the game, Ryan Bennett (£4.2m) is named on the bench, while Romain Saïss (£4.2m) keeps his place in the back-three.

Wolves XI: Ruddy; Boly, Coady, Saïss; Jonny, Neves, Moutinho, Dendoncker, Doherty; Jota, Jiménez.

Manchester United XI: Romero; Shaw, Smalling, Lindelöf, Dalot; Pogba, Matic, Herrera; Martial, Rashford, Lingard.

I do not understand how VAR can overturn what is a judgement by the referee and not fact.

Imo he was reckless and putting Jota at great and unnecessary risk.

It is the ref and not the booth? Ok, I didn't know that. But still, what could they possibly have told him to make him change his mind? "Dude, he was 5 cm away from the ball, not the 9.5 cm you thought it was."

Nonsense to overrule that. No clear error. A soft red maybe, but surely that is not what VAR is meant to be?

Wrong. It's Mourinho who has jeopardised Champions League qualification . Ole is the man trying to sort out the mess. If you think Sucksjaer is even vaguely assuming then you are seriously deluded. And no I don't support Man U.
