Blank Gameweek 33 picture complete as Spurs reveal Double Gameweek fixtures

Brighton and Hove Albion’s success in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup means that we now finally know how many teams will blank in Gameweek 33.

The Seagulls came back from two goals down against Millwall on Sunday to force extra-time and penalties, running out 5-4 winners in the subsequent shootout.

With the FA Cup semi-finals taking place on the same weekend as Gameweek 33, eight sides will be without a Premier League fixture that weekend: Brighton, Manchester City, Wolves, Watford, Spurs, Cardiff, Manchester United and Fulham.

The six remaining fixtures that will take place are:

The article that went out yesterday evening goes into more detail as to the ramifications of the other three quarter-finals.

As for Brighton, they had three top-flight fixtures that needed rescheduling as a result of clashes with the two domestic cups: Chelsea (a), Cardiff (h) and Spurs (a).

One of those matches has already been rearranged.

Spurs announced after full-time at the Den that they will entertain Brighton in Double Gameweek 35 and Crystal Palace in Double Gameweek 32.

The fact that Chelsea are still in European competition means that the Seagulls’ outstanding meeting with the Blues could very well be rescheduled for Double Gameweek 32 (there are no Europa League ties in that free midweek).

Albion’s home match against Cardiff would appear likely, then, to fall into a separate Double Gameweek later in the season.

We will likely get confirmation of this in the next few days.

Spurs’ rather mixed Double Gameweek schedule looks like this:

Palace’s Double Gameweek 32 is as follows:

    WC32 / FH33?

    Am I the only one wildcarding in GW32 and free hitting in 33? Most of the chatter on here seem to be about FH32.

    I’ve no TC left so will BB in 35. Would be interesting to hear thoughts from others following this approach and your thoughts on interesting players and team drafts.

    Haven’t got a serious draft yet but Sterling and Aguero are obvious ones, Pogba too. Son is interesting. Jimenez or Rashford probably and might go Kane. Deloufeu JWP, Milivojevic candidates for mid-price slots. Ederson likely but might go Leno. Laporte, maybe AWB, no Brighton. TV is about 107 but still hard to fit in all of Sterling/Aguero/Kane/Pogba/Son + decent defense. Probably no Pool in WC team but will obviously get 3 for GW33.

        A slight worry of course but will have a few transfers to get rid of injured players/catch in-form ones leading up to 35 and I really don’t mind a hit or two if necessary.

        Many now already have 11 or more for 33, so seems simpler to FH32 and WC later for BB

                Yes, have to build a team that’ll have to last for the rest of the season pretty much but I feel that should be a good thing as well instead of saving the WC for pretty much one big bang in 35 as I’ve done the previous years. On about 27K OR now and would really like to get into the top 5-10K.

        Safe to hit the FH chip tonight? I have exact money to make the 32 team i need ( Salah going down tonight and possibly Valery going up- would ruin this completely). Would it be safe to say that other games not scheduled yet but according to Crellins' predictions will be added in 32?

        Basically don't want a scenario where it ends up only being these 2 fixtures ( united and spurs' games and others somehow shifted) and i have used my FH

                Nope. Your value afterwards is that of your squad before the GW started. So if your old players drop you lose money on them. If your FH players drop, you dont lose anything after the GW is over. Same with rises.

            Been a season of missed penalties for me it feels. No penalty saves either. Siggurdson particularly culpable for me with 3. Pogba twice. Annoying as. Although two of those misses scored on the rebound so not all doom n gloom.

                Absolutely is. Weird, he used to be so reliable at them. Think he missed for Iceland against Nigeria in the summer and just hasn't been same since.

                Pretty standard. I’m 31 (-8) so it’s effectively 23

                A bad bad week

                And if I didn’t do the -8 my entire team would have blanked as Firmino and Maddison were my only scorers

                  Similar to me. Except I didn’t need to do the extra -4 for Wilson. Could repay in BGW33. Considering a -4 to get Mane that week. TAA leaving my team, as I think he is going to be susceptible to rotation once Gomez is back.
