Confirmations for remaining FPL Double Gameweeks

The Premier League have announced the full line-up of fixtures for all the remaining Double Gameweeks of the 2018/19 season.

They have confirmed that Gameweeks 32, 34 and 35 will all feature an expanded number of matches.

Manchester City’s are the pick of the bunch as they are set for a Double of Fulham (away) and Cardiff (H) in Gameweek 32.

Meanwhile, Brighton will have three Double Gameweeks between now and the end of the season.

We have listed all the additional fixtures below and will give our initial thoughts on the programme, which we will update throughout the afternoon.

INITIAL THOUGHTS

As had already been suggested by Pep Guardiola, Manchester City have been handed an appealing Double Gameweek in Gameweek 32.

They will face Fulham and Cardiff and present Fantasy managers with the chance to capitalise on a glut of attacking returns.

A triple-up on Manchester City options will surely be a popular strategy for anyone playing the Free Hit in Gameweek 32.

Sergio Aguero (£11.8m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.6m) are likely to take up the first two spots, but who takes the third? We’ll be looking at that in the coming days.

Chelsea have also been handed some positive fixtures for the next round of action.

They will travel to face Cardiff before hosting a travel sick Brighton side to Stamford in the following midweek.

That will further the case for Gonzalo Higuaín (£9.6m) and Eden Hazard (£10.9m) in Free Hit squads.

Those looking for budget options in Gameweek 35 could turn to Watford as their Double Gameweek 35 looks very promising indeed.

The Hornets travel to Huddersfield first, before hosting Southampton midweek.

Troy Deeney (£5.9m) and Gerard Deulofeu (£5.6m) will arguably be the most popular players to look at although with the FA Cup semi-finals looming large, Javi Gracia may shift his focus there.

A NEW CHIP STRATEGY?

Until today, we thought we knew what the optimum chip strategies would be for Fantasy managers.

However, a Double Gameweek for Brighton in Gameweek 34 does open up a new chip strategy for some looking for a different approach.

They will host Bournemouth and Cardiff in Gameweek 34 in what looks like a hugely appealing set of fixtures.

Both the Cherries and Bluebirds have been poor away from home this season and the Seagulls themselves will be fighting for their own Premier League survival.

Gameweek 34 had been pencilled in as the best time to play a second Wildcard ahead of deploying the Bench Boost in Double Gameweek 35.

However, this confirmation of a hugely appealing Double for Brighton the week before could allow those who have already used their second Wildcard to use their Triple Captain chip instead.

It would be a hugely differential move to do so but Mat Ryan (£4.4m), Shane Duffy (£4.7m) and Glenn Murray (£6.3m) all stand the chance of securing double-figure hauls in Double Gameweek 34.

This strategy might not even be open to those without their second Wildcard.

Anyone who has not played the Free Hit on Gameweek 32 might be tempted to play the Wildcard instead, use the Free Hit in Blank Gameweek 33 so that they can use the Triple Captain chip on a Brighton player.

Otherwise, the Triple Captain chip will still have to be used in a single Gameweek, with Liverpool at home to Huddersfield in Gameweek 36, Manchester United at trip to the Terriers in Gameweek 37 or Cardiff’s visit to Old Trafford on the final day of the season the favourite options at this point.

Also, those who have already played their Free Hit chips, and are unable to do so in Double Gameweek 32, might want to consider the Triple Captain chip then.

Manchester City’s double of Fulham and Cardiff makes one of either Aguero or Sterling an excellent option for that chip if it looks like they’ll play a significant part in both matches.

    Bottomed... FYI ICYMI

Initially I thought I had played my FH32 chip too soon with this news, but for those considering WC32, FH33, TC34, BB35, just be aware that between your WC and BB there would be 3GWs in which players can be injured, lose favour of be suspended.
And you want 15 nailed-on players to make it worthwhile.

For me WC34, BB35 is still the best option.

So now we know that Brighton, City, United, Spurs, Watford and Wolves all have doubles in both 32 and 35, is anyone else tempted to switch strategy to wildcard this week, free hit 33, and then that allows TC and BB to be played in 34 and 35?

This means you can catch some price rises and falls this week and the majority of your squad will have doubles in both of the big weeks, and you don't have to return to the awful team you had in 31 (which got me 25 points -8).

It worth considering, if you don't mind having a load of players in the Manchester derby.

I don't mind that too much - City and United are the 2 most attractive teams with doubles regardless of that fixture I think. I'd probably want triple City and double United for 32, and could do an easy swap from a United defender in 32 to a Arsenal defender in 35.

It is tempting, but for me I would rather wait to see how things pan out as the big week is GW35, a lot can change before then.

I don't think that's necessarily right though because there are more teams with doubles in 32 and the fixtures are more obviously better.

Yh but what I mean is you will want to Bench boost in GW 35 (the best chip) and wont be able to do that this week anyway. I will want 3 Arsenal players for 35 but do not want any currently.

This is what I am thinking. Team is a shambles at the moment but this would by no means leave you "short" this GW and still give you plenty of value on BB and TC.

Yeah I'm in a similar boat - can't really face going back to my GW31 team and don't think I'd lose out from WC now and FH in 33 rather than FH now, have a disaster in 33, and then WC in 34.

Interesting. Could work but I think I've spent way too much effort to get XI players for 33. Taking a complete u-turn now seems crazy. Also GWs is a long time in FPL so players that are hot right now might not be flavour of the month by GW35 BB. Even with free transfers it could get messy if your GW32 players go off the boil by GW35.

That's the only thing - I also could field 11 in GW33 so just need to weigh up how different a FH team would be for me compared to my current batch of useless lumps.

Saints, Brighton and Watford make the BB35 very doable whilst still maintaining a very good team. Ryan, Foster, Duffy, Valery, Holebas, JWP with the big guns looks good.

        still doesnt make sense !

David, you changed the Watford comment from GW32 to GW35, which is correct now. But

"Troy Deeney (£5.9m) and Gerard Deulofeu (£5.6m) will arguably be the most popular players to look at although with the FA Cup semi-finals looming large, Javi Gracia may shift his focus there."

The Semi-final is in GW 33. The comment would have been relevant if the games were GW32 as you first posted, but are not relevant since that game would be in the past.

"Those looking for budget options in Gameweek 35 could turn to Watford as their Double Gameweek 35 looks very promising indeed.

The Hornets travel to Huddersfield first, before hosting Southampton midweek.

it's just one extra score over captaining the same player in the same GW, two in a DGW.

Very powerful. Actually so powerful that TC Sané in GW25 for a grand total of 3 points has completely ruined the season for me

As far as I have seen around, minimum is 1 (Sane @25 this year) and maximum is 31 (Kane @37 of 16-17 season).

My personal range is 3 (Caroll :)) - 10 (Lukaku last year) so not my favorite chip tbh.

          2016/17 Aguero DGW 9 points = 27
          2017/18 Kane DGW 3 points = 9
          2018/19 Salah SGW 8 points = 24

The year 2015/16 I did Sanchez and really came home. Can't remember what he scored but it was something around 19 points? 57 total rings a bell.

So is this an option now?

        GW33: WC
        GW34: BB
        GW35: TC

        Why?

GW34 Bench Boost has cheap players who are ideal for a BB - Etheridge or Ryan, Dunk, Camarasa, Murray

Then it gives you a good TC option in GW35 - namely Raul Jimenez.

GW32 give you Aguero TC v Fulham and Cardiff

GW32 looks better for a FH though? Because you can max out on City and Chelsea players (3 each) to maximise gains and then get the Liverpool players back for GW33.

Aguero(c) with Sterling and Laporte could be much better than Aguero(TC) for example.

Im starting to have second thoughts about dropping Jimenez on the FH...

Hes gonna be massively owned by all those not FHing. I may play dullard and just keep him to protect myself. Plus he can easily score vs Burnley then as a sub vs UTD (if he is rested that is)

        Pretty happy with this:

        De Gea,

        AWB, Laporte, Luiz, Schlupp

        Sterling, Pogba, Hazard

        Aguero, Rashford, Higuain

Might switch to a 343, but I'm really liking the look of this. Has beautiful symmetry to it when you load it on the screen!

Nice. I think I have the money for a Spurs defender if I downgrade my bench options. Not sure I want one though

        Okay unpopular opinion coming...

We all get super excited about DGW players, but rotation is a real danger for all teams - we may find Sarri as likely to make massive changes as arch rotation troll Guardiola.

My belief is that attackers are more likely to be rotated, so unless you expect a monster haul from playing just one game from your chosen attacking big hitters, I will focus on premium options mainly for clean sheets, attacking full backs and goal threatening centre backs (say Ederson, Laporte, Kepa, Luiz, Azpi, Foster, Holabas, Kola, Leno, Monreal, etc)

Seeing as so many seem desperate to go differential because of disappointing seasons so far, what are we thinking? Or is it better to play obvoius advantage (as mentioned above, even if e.g. Kun or Raz only play one game each it will be worth it for another hatrrick)?

There hardly any options in midfield.

All teams will have Haz, Raz, Pog, Mili & maybe Spurs mid.

Forwards & doubling up on defenders is where the differentials are at.

At least now I don't have see FH32 teams with Soton players.

Makes DGW32 tougher to navigate as the fixtures for smaller teams are tough plus Watford & Wolves will rotate. Think high TV could be very useful.
