Fixtures

Which FPL players are on international duty ahead of Double Gameweek 32?

A week of international fixtures gets underway today, with Germany and Wales among the countries in action this evening.

This is the final international break of 2018/19 and falls before the biggest Double Gameweek of the season, so there will be a nervy wait for Fantasy managers as we keep our fingers crossed for an injury-free seven days.

This article gives a club-by-club rundown on which assets will be away from their sides during this period, also detailing the dates in which these players will be competing for their respective countries.

There are several high-profile names missing from this list, of course.

Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) won’t be linking up with Egypt, while Aymeric Laporte (£5.9m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.8m) will not be representing their respective countries either.

Alexandre Lacazette (£9.4m) was omitted from the France national squad, while Gonzalo Higuain (£9.6m), like Aguero, wasn’t selected by Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni.

Marcos Alonso (£6.4m), Cesar Azpilicueta (£6.3m) and Jonny (£4.3m) won’t feature for Spain, meanwhile.

There are a cluster of players whose countries are scheduled to be in action in the early hours of Wednesday March 27 who then face a long-haul flight back from the Americas: Tim Ream (£4.2m), Antonio Valencia (£6.4m), DeAndre Yedlin (£4.5m), Miguel Almiron (£6.0m), Fabian Balbuena (£4.2m), Javier Hernandez (£6.1m) and Raul Jimenez (£6.8m).

It may be, however, that some of those players have been the subject of agreements between club and country to return to the UK before their respective nations’ second fixture over the international break, as has been the case before.

The good news for owners of Argentina and Brazil assets is that those two countries aren’t playing their two international friendlies in South America, although Argentina travel to Morocco on Tuesday.

Sadio Mane (£10.0m) is amongst the popular Fantasy options in action in Africa on Tuesday, while Son Heung-min (£8.6m) will be heading over to Asia for a double-header with South Korea – the second fixture being contested on Tuesday morning (UK time).

    A) is Ben Mendy fit

    B) would you risk him (potentially massive upside) on a FH, over likes of Shaw and then Ederson in goal

I don't expect to see much of Mendy for rest of season

Something seriously wrong with mendy/pep relationship I think. It wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t play again this season

I'm going with Mendy with a sub to come in if he doesn't play.

Even if he were able to play his minutes would be limited to ease him back into action. No need to rush his rehab with the easiest schedule in the league over the next 3 weeks. He has a history of slowly getting back up to speed. His knee is highly questionable. Your worst scenario, that he plays partial games and scores nothing or picks up a card, is highly likely IF he plays at all.

    Still fiddling away here.....

    Thoughts?

    Ederson (Hamer)
Luiz / Schlupp / Doherty (Connolly) (Simpson)
Sterling / Haz / Pogba / Neves (Hudson Odoi)
    Kane / Aguero / Rashford

Doherty risky. May be benched for one. Would rather get second palace defender and upgrade neves

Maybe AWB and Deulofeu. His minutes might be managed, but what he can do in them....

Decent, wolves players would worry me. Can see lots of rotation but very strong team apart from that

Might ditch Doherty and Neves for AWB and Deulofeu.

Currently got the same back four, raz haz Pogba, Kun rashford. Looks good for fitting Kane in, though I’m not sure I’ll bother given he has liv CRY...? Could you stretch to Deulofeu over Neves?

Zotter suggested AWB instead of Doherty, which would give me Deulofeu instead of Neves. I think that does look better. Cheers.

Only benefit is Brighton players which is abit meh. Their double isn’t great this week. Also you then have risk of injuries to wildcard players. TC 35 not looking great atm

yes, BB34 is not a bad idea. But like I said, you probably have to sacrifice something this GW by getting 3 Brighton players in now

You don’t get to handpick both dgw is the main downside. Especially as you can put all you money into best possible 11 on free hit but need a decent bench with distributed funds for B.B. you are essentially prioritising blank gw33 over dgw 35 just for Brighton players I’m not sure there is enough upside to deviate from the main strategy, but if you do good luck!

Stepped away from FFS the past week to see if my FH team looked like everyone's on here - and it does.

Anyway any comments on my template team would be nice 🙂 Cheers

    Kepa
    Azpi Smalling Schlupp

    Kun Kane Rashford

Only big omission is Hazard who I can easily swap Kane out for

Struggling with my last two positions on FH.
      Which would you prefer?

      A) Townsend + Valery (goal threat but single GW)
      B) Delofeue + 4.2 (Marriappa?) - really wanted Tompkins here (4.3)

      I’m actually leaning towards A

With fixtures against Liverpool & Palace, and a price tag of approximately 327.5m he really isn't important at all

Could do well of course, like many cheaper players

Martial and son a tad risky both. Maybe lindelof to a palace defender and son to mane ? If you can. Azpi to luiz too

I have azpi and luiz both but if i have to rid of one that will be Luiz. Azpi is less risk rotation.

          Why is Son risk?

And why Mane? Too expensive for not DGW

Hi guys any help between a few choices on my fh.
      A
      Ederson,
      Lindelof, schlupp, luiz,
      Hazard, pogba, sterling, jorgeinho?
      Rashford, aguero, kane

      Or
      B
      Kepa
      Lindelof, schlupp, luiz,
      Pogba, sterling, bilva, millivojavic
      Higuain, aguero,Kane

In team A I'd have to play either a 4.7mid or 4.3 def maybe jorgeinho or Jonny

In team B no hazard or rashford. Could swap bilva and lindelof too laporte and lingard.

      Any ideas? Thanks alot guys
