Hazard and Hudson-Odoi start for Chelsea as Higuain returns

The final match of Blank Gameweek 33 takes place this evening, as West Ham United make the short trip across London to face Chelsea. Kick-off at Stamford Bridge is at 20:00 BST.

Eden Hazard and Callum Hudson-Odoi keep their places in Maurizio Sarri’s starting XI and are joined in Chelsea’s front three by Gonzalo Higuain, who replaces the benched Olivier Giroud.

Given Chelsea’s congested fixture schedule and Sarri’s comments on Friday about “having to change”, there are perhaps not quite as many alterations as we anticipated to the Blues’ line-up.

Sarri’s only other change is an expected one, with Antonio Rudiger replacing Andreas Christensen at centre-half.

Pedro has recovered from injury to take his place among the substitutes alongside Christensen, Giroud, Willian, Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic.

There is no Marcos Alonso in the squad, with the Spanish left-back having been a doubt for this match after suffering a hamstring injury.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has recovered from back and hamstring problems to start, however.

After the Hammers’ dismal display against Everton in Gameweek 32, there is perhaps no surprise that Manuel Pellegrini has made five changes to his starting XI.

Marko Arnautovic isn’t one of those changes, however, despite Javier Hernandez‘s return to the West Ham team.

Felipe Anderson and Ryan Fredericks have recovered from injury to start, while Fabian Balbuena is in the Hammers’ starting XI for the first time since December.

Mark Noble is also recalled as Issa Diop, Pablo Zabaleta, Robert Snodgrass, Pedro Obiang and Lucas Perez make way.

All bar Zabaleta of that quintet are among the substitutes tonight.

West Ham were the first team to prevent Hazard from registering an attacking return this season when the two clubs drew 0-0 in Gameweek 6.

The Belgian winger was the third-most-bought and third-most-captained Fantasy asset of Gameweek 33.

Noble is the only member of West Ham’s starting XI to score or assist an away goal this calendar year.

The Hammers are without a victory away from the London Stadium since December.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have kept clean sheets in seven of their last ten home league matches.

Chelsea XI: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Emerson, Kante, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Higuain, Hazard.

West Ham United XI: Fabianski, Fredericks, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Noble, Rice, Anderson, Lanzini, Arnautovic, Hernandez.

Wouldn’t Sterling be likely rested against Palace if he starts against Spurs in the UCL?

72 points took me from 11k to 9k which is something I should be happy because it's the first time in my life after in 3 seasons playing that I am inside the top 10k!But instead I am sad and depressed because I've been eliminated from the FFS Cup which I was looking forward to... but that is fpl and that is life. Like the old song: "You can't always get what you want"

For those thinking of captaining Kane v Huddersfield, remember that Spurs always struggle the game after Champions League no matter the opposition.

For that reason, I’m going punty and captaining Murray (c)

Nice one, well done mate. First proper season for me and it’s been a bumpy ride but, despite a mediocre 55 this week, I’m back to 80k-ish. Having tumbled from 40k to 180k, I’ll be happy with a top 50-70k finish!

WC active, BB & TC left. Gulp! In GW17 was 97. Still in LMS as well, been a brilliant season TBF. It's so tight though at everywhere in rank, any bad moves will be punished. This WC is a little stressful.

That's a great season. I played my WC last week and it was stressful. I made a late decision to own Vardy and Hazard. Certainly paid off. You are in a very strong position. No need for unnecessary risks though and you should nail the top 100.

Ah I see tried to be too clever. I've done that as well this season.

I've decided to keep Pogba as he's still almost a million more than I paid for him and he's proving so unpopular on here at the mo he could be a differential. Good fixture this week too.

Southampton have good fixtures to the end so having two playing defenders for 8.1 is too good an opportunity to pass up.

Other than those parts, I think it's fairly template right, GTG?

    Lloris Foster
    Robbo Dunk Jony Valery Bednarek
    Sterling Mane Eriksen Pogba Jota
    Kane Jimenez Murray

    Murray to Deeney GW35.

Murray too old to play that many games surely.

Duffy has higher points per game than Alderweireld or Rudiger.
He has the same PPG as Doherty.

Bruno also has the same PPG but missed a lot of games. Was he dropped or injured?

Is Deeney a captain option in gwk 35 with Huddersfield away?

He has scored 12, 15, & 15 away from home vs. leaky defences already

Is Ings an option for the run-in? Great enabler on a bench boost.

Injury record just can't be trusted. Deeney is a similar price and much more affordable

Hope you all had a great GW!
Think I'm set for now on my WC looking to BB in GW 35. What do you think guys?

    Ryan
    TAA - Duffy - Doherty
    Hazard - Mane - Eriksen - Jota
    Kane - Vardy - Jiminez
    (Lloris - Deulofeu - Valery - Cathcart)

Vardy --> Lacazette for GW 35
Lacazette --> Aguero for GW 36.
(transfers not set in stone ofc)

How are FPLstatistic and Fix so different in their player rising prediction?

1 has Jota and Vardy nearly up tonight (fplstat)
the other is 2 days.... ( fix)

which is more reliable and what does Delta on fpl stat mean?

Prediction sites are unrealisable at the moment. Wildcard transfers don’t count so if people have hit activate then they don’t contribute to rises and falls.

You might get weird effects: e.g. I imagine most people without a wildcard will keep Hazard for now, but those on a wildcard won’t.

Because they are prediction tools. They run by different algorithms and neither will ever be 100% correct. FPLstat is the better one though.
