How a tactical change affects Salah’s Wildcard credentials

Liverpool’s formation change earlier this season holds the key to whether Mohamed Salah (£13.2m) deserves a place in Wildcard squads for Double Gameweek 34.

After going six Premier League matches without a goal, the Egyptian finally found the net against Southampton in Blank Gameweek 33 – just in time to cause a dilemma for managers overhauling their teams.

Judging by the relief he showed at St Mary’s on Friday night, there is a case to be made that Salah could now return to his incredible points-scoring form from earlier in the campaign.

However, we have uncovered a few tactical factors that could have a bigger impact on his chances of impressing between Gameweek 34 and the end of the season.

As we have used data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members’ Area, only members can read on to enjoy our analysis.

Now that we are past the half-way stage, memberships are now available for just £10, so make sure you get the most of it while you can by signing up HERE.

Where do I even start with this. No WC, 0 ITB, used my 1 FT on Schar > Duffy. Want to prepare myself for BB35, and TC36 (Salah). Willing to take multiple hits within reason to get this sorted out.

    Ederson Gunn

    Robbo Periera Duffy WB Bednarek

    Salah Hazard Mane Pogba Brooks

    Vardy Wilson Rondon

Any help on what to do for hits is massively appreciated. Thanks!

If you are playing catch-up i would use TC on the DGW instead 🙂

I'm in a similar boat and I'm thinking TC kane in gw 35 looks a better bet. Home game against Brighton and a bonus game against city.

Kane is a must have in my opinion, when other teams are on the beach he's filling his boots.

think Pereira, Hazard and Vardy could go in GW35 to 3 DGW players...that would be a -8, wouldn't take any more hits

      How about:

      Wilson + Rondon --> Deeney + jimenez

Fund this by selling one of Hazard / Salah / Mane --> Son

      ?

Take 2 hits now and get Kane in and spurs mid for either salah or mane and TC this week and still BB in gw35 , that is what I am doing any way same we are both in the same boat

The biggest differential option you have is to TC35. Many managers will be on BB35.

    WC Draft:

    Ryan, Foster
    Vertonghen, Kolasinac, Duffy, Bennett, Valery
    Salah, Eriksen, KDB, Deulofeu, JWP
    Kane, Jiminez, Deeney

0.0 ITB - Thoughts? Eriksen could be downgraded to Son if he gets the yellow today.

The top three highest defenders for points projection for the rest of the season (according to FFS) don't have a double gameweek...
Think I might get all 3 on my WC.

He's just such a frustrating player to watch - Pogba as well.

Fixtures not great, neither is their form right now.

If any of them, it’d be Martial for me, but not sure yet if I’m that interested in having him over Fraser/Brooks v Fulham in SGW.

Brought in Duffy, Sterling and Kane (-4) for Ake, Salah and Rondon

GW 35 can bring in Jiminez for King and then consider any other moves for a -4. Think there are still points to be had in the likes of Hazard, Vardy, Salah/Mané.

Still have the TC to play.

Nailed it, i have exactly the same!! Only thing i am thinking of changing is Lloris > Ryan & Doherty > Trippier as my 3rd Spurs...would really like the possibility of some defensive attacking points? If Aurier defo out for 2 weeks he's in. Also this leaves 0.3 ITB for Duffy upgrade (possibly to Kola?) in 35, which i also like the idea of...thoughts?

How does this latest draft look? Currently 1.3 ITB, upgrade Bednarek or keep the money for a rainy day?

    Lloris Foster
    Laporte Duffy Dunk Valery Bednarek
    Sterling Mane Son JWP Jota
    Jimenez Kane Vardy

    GW35: Vardy > Deeney, BB
GW36: Sterling > Salah, TC (on Salah or Mane)

    Aguero people?
quite a tough calendar ahead although he had 12+ days of rest.

I am pretty sure he will play at CRY. For those who have seen "all of nothing", Pep clearly fears CRY at home and will play his strongest 11 there.

Hard to believe he won't also be starting his best XI against Spurs in PL and MU on PL.

But you never know with Pep. Hard to decide whether Kun is an absolute must have or isn't.
