    Really silly challenge by Kane. Pointless tackle near the halfway line and went in hard. Why risk it. Feel for the guy but it's a poor decision.

            No at all. In the box is totally different. There's a huge difference between a ball running out on the halfway line where the opponent is having to hoof it forward and you challenging in the box.

      Some of my finest tackles have been made on the halfway line. If you play football you tackle the same no matter where you are.

          Man City are the best at making clever fouls high up the pitch in transition. It’s to stop the other team counter attacking before city get the defence in shape. Barcelona where also brilliant at it. It’s one of Pep’s most important tactics and no one talks about it.

          Kane injury limits choices to a very standard template , at least as Agüero stays fit. Key choices between two of Eriksen/Alli/Son and which of Salah or Mané. Will be difficult to gain ground.

            On the contrary, there are loads of options now.

            Can go lighter up top and very heavy in midfield. I'm probably looking at Laca, Deeney, Jimi and one city mid. Their rotation is going to be heavy.

            Tough to tell, really. He's recently come back from an ankle injury so would understandably be very cautious about it. If it's a hard knock which he feels is going to bruise and swell, he'll want that in ice asap. HOPEFULLY that's all it was, and he'll be back in a couple of weeks, but it could be worse and he might be out a couple of months. We'll have to wait and see.
