FFS Cup

The latest FFS Cup results and fixtures

The latest round of the FFS Cup wittled down our selection of moderators left in the competition.

Blank Gameweek 33 proved costly to G-Whizz, whose score of 58 was beaten by Insanity Later‘s 75.

That denied us the chance to see a Moderator Derby in the sixth round, although Rotation’s Alter Ego still made it through unscathed.

He saw off sirangepostapoosalot by a 85-81 scoreline.

Ranked the highest in round five, at 332 in the world, HPCAMPBELL secured passage to the last 16 with an 83-55 win over Yasar Khan.

Fellow high-flyer Lal Toofan, ranked 639, beat pkalogirou by just one point in an 80-79 victory and is now set for a showdown with Rotation’s Alter Ego.

Vulken is the lowest ranked remaining competitor, currently at 851,620th worldwide.

You’ve gotta have a high TV!

      Do you have.any cash itb?

Personally I would go for Lloris over Ryan.

Downgrade Mané and bring him back for GW36?

Midfield is set up for a weekly bench headache. And you're gonna bench Doherty this week I'm guessing? He could do well.

      Nice!

      Downgrade one of Salah/Mane?

Why Vardy? Fixtures not that great and only SGWs..

I would also go for Lloris as spurs looked pretty good defensively of late and fixtures are good

Not convinced on Aguero, or Salah

Firmino and Sterling is a better pairing IMO.

You are going to be benching Jota most weeks it seems...seems a waste.

Maybe downgrade Jota to a JWP and cover the Spurs defence with Lloris/Trippier

    Foster Ryan

I’m getting Vardy on the WC and want to shift him next week (for laca).

Is it worth getting Camarasa this week if it takes a -4 to remove him for 35

    A) Yes
    B) No

    1. TheDragon
      • 6 Years

Planning -4’s a week after wild carding isn’t typically a good idea

      5 years, 16 days ago

Who are you shifting Camarsa for? JWP a strong option, or Romeu if you're short of funds.

I'm not even sure I'd swap Vardy for Laca in GW35, and I'm an Arsenal fan...

Arsenal poor away from home, Vardy has hit his stride, and West Ham are all over the place defensively. Vardy against Arsenal in GW36 looks like the kind of game he'd likely to enjoy too.

    RMWCT (no BB)
    Ryan
    Robbo Duffy Laporte/Mendy Doha
    Sterling Son KDB Eriksen Salah

    1. Don Kloppeone

I think that bench is way too risky with so much rotation on the cards.

I would drop KDB to Jota/ JWP and use to upgrade striker

    2. Invincibles
      • 10 Years

Salah > mane, Laporte over mendy.

Get deeney. Gives you options for 35 and beyond

Depends who has a role in the big UCL games. If KDB is the talisman to win the title then he is the optimum WC pick

      1. Shatner's Bassoon
        • 5 Years

I'd still put Sterling / Kun as talismen above KDB personally. See what you're saying though.

Possibly... tough, given I want Eriksen + Son as well though!

        Power five returns...

There's so many decent looking budget midfielders though - JWP/Jota/Watford mid. Feels silly to pump cash there.

Ings over Jimenez this week, why?

Reports now says herrera might be out whole season, if Pogba was an option despite reason loss of form he is not now, at least that´s what i think

seems nice otherwise, not sold on sterling myself but this Kane injury makes it hard to actually use all money.

Some differential picks there, but I imagine that's what you're going for?

Literally the exact same as my team currently! I'm debating on switching to the below defence to get Lloris in though...

      Ryan Lloris
      Val Dunk Duffy TAA Doh

So basically Foster & Robbo > Lloris & TAA. Which do you think is the stronger option? Would be nice having a Watford defender also!

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

I think TAA and Robbo are basically equal. Trent is slightly more dangerous but also slightly more at risk of rotation meaning it comes down to Foster v Lloris. I would take Lloris.

        Can you afford

        Foster Lloris
        Val Dunk Duffy TAA Doh?

      Sterling Eriksen Son Deulofeu JWP
      Aguero Vardy Jimenez

      1 Brighton defender enough?

      A and 2

Jota is quality but more consistent, we know Deulofeu is just as if not more talented but he seems a lot more inconsistent. Doucoure is a shout if his advanced role is permanent but seems an unnecessary gamble compared to the other two.

Hojbjerg a lot more influential in open play and I don't like relying on a direct set piece goal or assist (unless it's a certain Crystal Palace CM).

I'd be tempted to try and squeeze Robbo into there somehow. Highest scoring defender with a pretty tasty run of fixtures. Maybe Rashford > Deeney to gather some funds?

      If fit, sure!

Think Eriksen and Son are better options for now though.

There's that interesting stat about Alli stepping up whenever Kane is injured...food for thought but Erik+Son just makes too much sense.

Any love for Lloris / Gunn GK combo for the rest of the season?

Other than the DGWs I think I'd struggle to find a GK out of Foster/Ryan that I'd actually feel confident about playing...

      I’m on Lloris, Foster
I only have Foster for DGW35 due to lovely fixtures

If you need the 0.3 cash then Gunn over Foster should work

    2. bench boost for every gamew…

for me it´s all about that DGW for Watford, i really want to have a defender and while Gunn is a very good choice on his own i prefer one of their defenders instead and Watford have none defenders i actually think will play twice bar Foster. Having a 4.6 goalie for some weeks without playing him is really not an issue for me. With this kane injury budget is much easier to manage as well.

          or Son or Llorente.

Could be a great pick. Too risky for me

My first of many iterations I'm sure!
    WC + BB35

    Ryan - Foster
    TAA - Robertson - Duffy - Trippier - Valery
    Mane - Pogba - Erikson - Son - Pereyra
    Augero - Murray - Jimenez

    Captain for 34:
    A)Murray
    B)Duffy

    Captain for 35:
    No idea!?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Any love for Doherty? I'd fear TAA is a rotation risk. Would rather Sterling over Pogba too if funds allow.

      (C) for 35 has to be Jiménez surely?

      Is Pereya fit?
Trippier not nailed and injury risk.
      TAA slight rotation risk.
I have the same big hitters and Murray but will probably go with Eriksen as captain unless Son definitely confirmed as starting.
