Lukaku leads the Man United line as Rashford benched

Romelu Lukaku (£10.8m) has the potential to turn around what has proved to be a rotten Double Gameweek 34 so far, but only for a selection of managers.

The Manchester United striker, owned by just 4.4% overall, has kept his place in the side after disappointment against Barcelona midweek.

With more shots on target than any other player in their last four Premier League matches, he is chasing his 10th goal against West Ham in his 11th match against them in this competition.

His power as a differential option in Double Gameweek 34 has been made stronger by the fact that Marcus Rashford (£7.4m) has been named on the bench in order to keep him fresh for next week’s Champions League second leg.

He is joined among the substitutes by centre-back Victor Lindelöf (£5.0m), Phil Jones (£5.1m) coming in for him.

With Luke Shaw (£5.0m) suspended Marcos Rojo (£4.9m) starts at left-back, with Diogo Dalot (£5.3m) filling in for the banned Ashley Young (£5.7m) on the right.

Former Manchester United forward Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (£6.1m) leads the West Ham attack today with Marko Arnautovic (£6.8m) missing out thanks to an illness.

Man United XI: De Gea, Dalot, Jones, Smalling, Rojo, Fred, Pogba, Mata, Lingard, Lukaku, Martial

West Ham XI: Fabianski, Zabaleta, Ogbonna, Balbuana, Masuaku, Rice, Noble, Lanzini, Anderson, Snodgrass, Hernandez

    I don't often say I hate players, but I hate Pogba. Kept missing them in my team, and gave me a -2 the only time I captained him.

    Ryan Duffy Dunk ( Yup) i was one of the idiots to have all 3 🙁

    Best replacement for either for a BB ?

    A) Duffy-----> Kolasinac
    B) Dunk-----> Cathcart or Firmina
    C) Ryan -----> Gunn

    Which to consider?

    Benched Frazer when meant to play him over Wilson and sold Brooks for -4 for Son. Almost bought Moura over Llorente. Pretty bad, eh...!??

    They just got beat 5-0. The man is deluded.

          Your original point was he is deluded yes? Well I disagree.
          Also he’s done wonders with the team and budget he has. I understand though. With his team losing 0-5 today he’s an easy target for folk who want to announce something somewhere.

    I fully appreciate its only half time in terms of Brighton players, but earlier today when my captain Son was benched then came on for a 5 minute cameo and (thankfully) scored an assist, I was expecting the worst given my two closest ML rivals captained Duffy. Thank you Bournemouth!

    28 from 3 (at the moment - Pogba baps).

    Leno, Robbo, TAA, Azpi, Mane, Kun, Laca, Deeney left to play. I might get close to 50 pts!

    I had TAA taken off on 59 last weekend and Doherty taken off on 59 this weekend, what are the chances? 2/186 ish?

    If any of you get the chance to go and watch Spurs at their new stadium then do it, awesome day out.

    Players that particularly stood out were Sissoko (another level to the rest of the boys on the pitch), Foyth(really surprised me), Sanchez(won everything) and Moura obviously! Vertongen was good too but lost the ball a few times. Llorente missed so many chances and I love Eriksen buts he's so slow!

    Basically Huddersfield made the whole Spurs team look amazing.

      People are getting subbed between 60th and 85th minute normally, that's a 25 min range, but the chances of someone who's bound to get subbed to get subbed before the 60th min is probably around 5%.

      The chance of a def getting subbed at all is probably around 10%.

      So the chance of two defs getting subbed on 59th min or earlier is 0.05 x 0.05 x 0.1 x 0.1 = 0.000025 = 0.025%.

      1. AndyCook
          5 years, 4 days ago

          Doherty regularly gets subbed, players often get subbed before 60 mins. It’s probably more like 1% they both get subbed before 60

      2. AndyCook
          5 years, 4 days ago

          You are assuming they were guaranteed to be subbed and every minute is as likely as every other. Also if you’re conceding goals who cares if your player is subbed

        In all honesty, it’s not like I ever considered keeping Fraser and/or Wilson on WC anyway...

        Don’t get me wrong it hurts like a bugger seeing that, but not as much as, for example, a 31pt swing 50:50 decision on FH32 🙂
