Aguero and Sterling start for Man City at Crystal Palace

Fantasy Premier League managers who backed Manchester City’s key attackers were handed a boost on Sunday afternoon.

Sergio Aguero (£11.7m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.5m), who some feared would be rotated ahead of a big Champions League match, have both been named in the starting line-up.

They are joined in the side by Kevin de Bruyne (£9.7m) who has now started five of the last six Premier League matches.

There will be plenty for those with a tactical interest in this encounter as Benjamin Mendy (£6.1m) and Leroy Sané (£9.3m) have both been selected in the starting XI.

It will be of great importance to analyse how those two players interact with each other given what they have offered Fantasy managers at various stages this season.

Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva (£7.6m) has shaken off his yellow flag to make the bench and Fernandinho (£5.3m) misses out with a knock.

As expected, Crystal Palace are down to their second-string in the centre-back department with Mamadou Sakho (£4.9m) and James Tomkins (£4.3m) out injured.

It will be Martin Kelly (£3.9m) and Scott Dann (£4.4m) tasked with schackling Aguero this afternoon.

Up front, there is a surprising selection by Roy Hodgson, who has benched Michy Batshuauyi (£6.5m) to give Christian Benteke (£6.3m) a first start since Gameweek 26.

Man City XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Mendy, Gundogan, Silva, De Bruyne, Sane, Sterling, Aguero.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Wan Bissaka, Kelly, Dann, Van Aanholt, McArthur, Milivojevic, Schlupp, Townsend, Benteke, Zaha.

Are you watching the game? KdB has been playing like he was last season.

Sterling missed a sitter and has barely touched the ball tbh...

KDB was best player on the pitch by a distance, man of the match easily. Plenty of times the system throws up odd results, but not in this case IMO.

My point is the bonus point system for Sky Fantasy Football is based on the player awarded the official MOTM (Sterling in this instance). KDB was great but Sterling was the match winner and IMO therefore deserved the 3 bonus points.

The point that you're missing is that you know how bonus points will be awarded before the game starts. There is no arbitrary MotM points awarded as we suffered for so many years in this game.
No longer is it your opinion versus someone elses opinion.
The reasoning and award of bonus's are there in black and white.

There are games where a player who hasn’t scored, assisted or kept a clean sheet got 3 bonus points. That’s not a system that works IMO. I understand the system. I’ve played FPL for a number of years. I’ve expressed an opinion that i feel Sterling should be awarded 3 bonus points. It’s not an attack on FFS / FPL. Chill out peeps.

It may be but as good as we can hope for.
How about back to the old system, where some random unknown guy choses the bonus's (like Sky perhaps) and you know they have favourites?
Crouch, Terry, Cole(Joe) Wilshire and the likes could never have a bad game!!!!
Then we had the Barry Ferguson & Charlie Adam farce where they always got 3 bonus (being a Scot I may have done the same 🙂 )

Lol I remember this system! I agree the system is better than then but I still think it should be tweaked. The fact that Salah was a record point scorer last season / player of the season yet was criminally under represented in the BAPS system shows there are still improvements to be made.

It's much better than before and I'm not keen on Sky system which I've stopped playing.
It's never going to be perfect as such but that's the nature of the game, there are no certainties.
Firstly it takes the random picks out of it, like the Pogba one posted above, secondly you can plan your team to a degree with that in mind.
In short, it's as good as you can hope for.

Raz has Spurs and MU, granted they are not what they were before.

Also possible rotation due to the strength of City's depth.

Salah and pool fighting for.the title, Cardiff are a sorry excuse for a premiership team.

        Think Salah will edge it.

33 with Trent, Mane, Duffy and Ryan remaining. Ugh. BUT a wildcard isn't just for one week, as they say

just feels terrible after such a good week last week (100) and not owning Lucas, Pogba, Sterling, Wilson, Fraser is going to hurt my rank for sure
