FFS Cup

The latest FFS Cup fixtures and results

We’ve reached the quarter-final stage of our second FFS Cup of the season.

The draw for the last eight has now been made after the round of 16 took place in Double Gameweek 34, with a handful of ties being settled by the odd point or two.

FFS moderator Rotation’s Alter Ego edged out Lal Toofan (who is now ranked at 750 in the world) 50-48, with his choice of Son Heung-min as captain giving him a crucial extra three points over his rival.

Our highest-ranked remaining manager, HPCAMPBELL, saw off the challenge of aha_berg by 59 points to 44. HPCAMPBELL registered his tenth green arrow in a row in Gameweek 34 and now has an OR of 262.

Our one remaining FPL manager with a seven-digit rank bowed out of the competition. Vulken was defeated 35-36 by Hi Ho Silva Lining, who prevailed despite handing the armband to Shane Duffy and counting Troy Deeney – who was sent off against Arsenal – among his starting XI.

dark91 is now our lowest-ranked surviving manager, having recorded the highest score of the round in defeating Foot Fighter 61-39 – a 21-point haul from Lucas Moura helping dark91 to a seventh straight green arrow.

LOKOMOTIV is nicely positioned just outside the top 1k and he saw off I Member 49-45 in another close-run tie.

Another FFS site user sitting inside the top 5,000 exited the competition, however: Profa Benitez losing by the tightest of margins to Ibra-gum.

Roger150 and Skogen89 were the winners of our other two ties, defeating Evil Elvis and Insanity Later respectively.

The full sixth round results were as follows:

Same boat here, up 33 in my 30-man mini league and dropped Vardy and picked up Jimenez who I will C. This was mostly a counter move since closest rival has him too.

Working towards this for g/w 36

    Guaita
Trippier / TAA / Laporte or Mendy
    Salah / Mane / Son / KDB / Sterling
    Jiménez / Llorente

    Gunn / Rashford / Doherty / Valery
    0.6 itb

No Aguero is a worry and looks a bit light up top, team and bench are subject to change. Your thoughts would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Foster Lloris
    Robbo Laporte Doherty Duffy Valery
    Mané Eriksen Son Deulofeu JWP
    Aguero Vardy Jimenez

    1 FT, 0.5 itb

    Save my free transfer or:

    A) Vardy to Firmino
    B) Eriksen + Vardy to Sterling + Wilson -4
    C) Eriksen to KDB

    Help me out please!!!
Two opponents in my mini league who are 10 points behind me, own Sterling. Should I go for Sterling with a -4? I think City may play all out and get crazy.

So, Eriksen+Vardy out Sterling + Ings/Gray/Wilson/Llorente in seem legit?

Have a great midfield and forward line this week but still tempted to swap Almiron for Jota. If I did that, who to bench?

Aguero, Vardy, Jimi, Salah, Mane, Fraser, Eriksen

Leaning towards Rondon as a Deeney replacement. Should get 2 or 3 goals between now and end of season. Already have 3 spurs and all other options apart from Llorente look poor. Have no money to play with.

      Advice welcome

      BB is 32 spins if you own 15 DGWers. 14x2 (28) + captain x2 x2 (4)

For me I have Brighton trio as my bench plus Leno or Lloris but FT or 2 transfer at -4 could solve this BHA mess.
I have 12 DGWers plus TAA, Mané and Haz. So that’s 29 spins as I will capt KDB or Son.

However that goes to 23 spins (6 less) if I TC KDB and hold BB for 36 or 38.

      When I do BB I get 16 spins (14x1 + captain x2) compared to normal 12 spins. ( 4 more)
      But only 3 more spins when you consider it’s a 13 spinner ( 10x1 plus captain x3)

      * Scenario 1: BB35, TC36, 37,38 = 66 spins (29+13+12+12) but BHA bench of 6 sh;t spins.
      * Scenario 2: TC35, BB36, 37,38 = 63 spins (23+16+12+12) will have extra transfers to build better bench to fit fixtures
      * Scenario 3: same as scenario 2 but BB38 with Southampton triple bench for HUD. Plenty time to build and get Man United, extra cheap Soton def and maybe palace players. I.e jimi to rash or zaha for 38.

      State of play:
      Leno
      TAA,Valery,Bennett
      KDB,Haz,Son,Erik,Mane
      Jimi,Laca
      Subs:Lloris,Duffy,Dunk,Murray

      Had planned Murry to Troy.

      Advice welcome.

Risk is other injuries/rotation/motivations could change by 36 or 38.
Has to be a personal choice but I'd strongly consider TC this week if still had the chip. But I don't

Many doubts here, especially on 3rd striker:

        Foster (2)
        Arnold; Boly (2); Bednarek (2)
Sterling (2); Mane; Son (2); De Bruyne (2)
        Aguero (2)c ; Jimenex (2); Wilson

Thinking in bringing in Llorente to enable Luiz (home against safe Burnley) or an Arsenal defender. Any thoughts? I'm on WC
