Would you want to have Lucas Moura in your team for the rest of the season? Or limited game time?

    Leno Ryan

    Ederson
    Bednarek, Cathcart, Van Dijk
Sterling, Mane, Pogba (V), Lucas Moura
    Wilson, Jimenez, Lacazette(C)

    Bench:
    Alisson, Aké, Tielemans, David Luiz

Good to go? Or should I maybe play Alisson in place of Ederson?

Hey guys! So currently 2nd in ML with 1 point. 3 of us in the race. Had the plan to go BB this gw and my 3 Brighton def tactic went bad.

What would you do with this bunch? Foster/Ryan
    Dunk/Duffy/Valery/Robbo/Doherty
    Sterling/Son/Eriksen/Deu/Jota
    Jimenez/Kun/Deeney.

    Thinking of Deeney -> Llorente

    Willing to take hit aswell.

Such worrying reports about Utd today, Ole's comments about player attitude which anyone that watches the games could have told you has been a long term problem which obviously now can't only be attributed to Jose and I saw something about him also being concerned about Rashford's demeanour, thinking his head has been turned with the links to Barca.

Yeah. Sort of glad the «honeymoon period» has ended. It shows that 1) there is a great deal of potential in the squad, and 2) there is a lot of work required to perform at a world class level.

Also 3) some players have got to go. Sorry Ashley Young, I’ve always liked you, but it seems you’ve lost it at the top level

    2. thomashl

True. But it’s good he brought it up. Should he have mentioned it sooner? Maybe, but I think it’s good he keeps things within the team rather than flaming people in public at a rate that Mou did.

He didn’t inherit a brand new team, so it’s obvious that the squad has to change AND improve. It wasn’t all Jose’s fault, fans saying that are naive and lazy, but his management style really just highlighted the differences between himself, the squad and the players. Ole is a more attentive leader, and that’s a plus.

      1. The Ejiptian King
        • 5 Years

Agree on Jose. I think a big problem is that the majority of the squad aren't good enough for our ambitions and a few of the ones that do have the quality aren't particularly interested in working hard enough to realise their potential.

This is without even mentioning the awful mismanagement from Woodward who should've handed over to someone that actually knows something, anything about football long ago.

Yeah, I think that’s a fair summary. More specifically: when it comes to Pogba, he needs to $h*t or get off the pot. If he wants to go to Real Madrid, fine just go ahead and do it. If he is determined to stay, something that requires far more determination and, dare I say, courage, he needs to step up his ambition and effort and perform week in and week out.

Hope we get a good director of football in place soon. Paul Mitchell and maybe van der Saar seem exciting.

Nice apart from Duffy and possible Valery injury no-show.

What are your thoughts on potential Erikson rotation because Spurs still in CL?

think eriksen may get a rest against brighton. Son will play both due to suspension - less pressure to play eriksen against brighton

Looks like you're considering downgrading Erikson to fund Wilson in for Deeney?

Sensible I think. I'm considering Erikson to Redmond which would allow me to do Deeney to Firmino. (I have Sterling, Mane and Son). My thinking is I don't like the possible Deeney replacements that I could afford in one move - eg: Llorente, and so why not jump up to Firmino. Also it would set me up with Firmino now, as I'd like to get him next week anyway.
